The setting is absolutely beautiful. In the gorgeous desert just north of Phoenix. We stayed for an event. We got a special room rate of $140 and apparently it normally costs $200+ per night. This is NOT a luxury hotel experience. First the door to our room was broken and kept popping open. Very old doors and clearly not replaced...

During my stay my door knob/key card reader had to be replaced. John and Marco were so courteous and helpful. These kinds of issues happen when you travel. Their service is what sets them apart. And when I lost a receipt that I needed to turn in on my expense list; the restaurant manager: Rhonda was able to take the...

Arrived on Christmas Day, 2016. The lobby smelled of vanilla and a fire in the cozy fireplace. The room was exceptional, the staff very attentive and friendly. The room was clean and kept clean by the helpful housekeeping staff. The restaurant, The Lariat (keeping in the Southwestern theme) was perfect, the food really, really good. Just be sure you're not...

When we entered the room there was a very heavy mold and mildew smell. I actually look around as it smelled like maybe a pipe had broken and contaminated the drywall. Found nothing. As it turned out the refrigerator in the living room had been unplugged for, I don’t know how long. But it was the source. As we started...

This was an unexpected trip....a friend who lives locally recommended the carefree resort. At first I was a little disappointed in the room, it was in the back and it was dusty, and a little old....but boy the employee's and the town made it for it. The cactus and the areas around the resort were so much fun....I do hope...

Checked in on Thanksgiving Day which was cold. I set my room thermostat for heat. Nothing happened and I froze all night. The next day I was told that the hotel had not turned on the heat and someone had to come to my room to do it manually. Wow -- I was stunned that I was not told this...

Dear MsCalEsq, I'm terribly sorry about your unpleasant stay with us. Thanksgiving week was our first week where we needed the heaters turned on. I do apologize your room was missed pior to arrival. We are a pet friendly resort, but not all of our rooms allow pets. The Premier category rooms are larger than the other rooms, and typically...

Attended conference. The room was large, updated and clean. The heater did not work, I was tired and didn't want to contact front desk and wait. I grabbed the blankets and tried to cuddle into them. It got so cold I felt like I was in a sleeping bag camping. The night was miserable. The next morning our conference room...

Dear TravelingAlways3, I'm very sorry to hear about your poor stay with us. Due to our wonderful weather, it was been very recently we have needed our heaters turned back on. This was the first of ten hotels at which I stayed during my recent coach tour of Arizona, Nevada and California. Our group were allocated rooms in various locations of this resort complex, mine being within a separate annex beyond the hotel reception entrance. Surrounded by cactus, the setting is what I imagined the Arizona region would be like. We...

This is a lovely place to enjoy peace and quiet. On check in staff were very accommodating by changing our room to poolside. We did not have a fridge in the new room, but within minutes of asking a fridge was brought to our room. The grounds are extremely well maintained and the landscaping is a nice mix. Breakfast over...
