Overlooking Brewer’s Gulch, Hotel La More has a long and storied history of weirdness. Built in 1904, the original building burned down under unknown circumstances. The building you see today was completed in 1916 by a Mrs. S.P. Bedford, the original owner and creator of Hotel La More except for its namesake. One year later the building was leased by a Mrs.Kate Lamore, who turned the hotel into the “most modern lodging in Bisbee.” Throughout the years it has been a temporary home to those visiting Bisbee, and a permanent home to many miners who worked the pit. Some of our guests have decided to stay long after their life has expired. Please treat these souls with respect; until now, they have continued to treat this property as their own. We do not own the hotel, we share it with all the previous owners and residence.

Stayed one night on a Sunday and got a very good rate. We were one of 3 couples staying that night and never saw or heard the other people. This is a step back in time kind of place so don't expect an ice machine, USB ports or anything made past 1942 to be supplied in your room. However there was a fridge in the kitchen area that you could put stuff in I suppose. We stayed in room 12 which overlooks the front street it was tight for the two of us and there was no place to sit except the bed. We did have our own tiny bathroom. I noticed some rooms had their bathroom and shower across the hall. If this place had been busy it probably would have been noisy the only noise we heard was the flag flapping outside our window in the wind. I'm not sure the room has heat...we didn't see a thermostat in our room nor did we need heat in mid October however there was a portable A/C unit that took up space in the corner. Parking is down a steep flight of stairs or you could walk up the inclined street keep that in mind if you have mobility issues. We had such minimal contact with any worker but the two we did were super friendly. If the price was right I would stay here again. It is known to be haunted but we felt, heard and experienced nothing. If you do the Bisbee ghost tour they actually walk you through this hotel.

This is a wonderful historic hotel/building in Bisbee with a lot of charm and originality. The doors, knobs, banister and stairs appear to be original to the property, as do a few other things (and if not original at least period specific). It has a warm and inviting atmosphere and Lucy, the Innkeeper is a sweetheart with tons of charm and personality herself! She was thoughtful and put a heater in our room in case we wanted to use it and checked to make sure we were happy with our accommodations and gave plenty of eating referrals. The room was comfortable and clean. I would recommend if you want a quiet night's sleep to sleep on the side of the hotel opposite the bar that is next door. Some guests were staying upstairs on the bar side of the hotel and said it was pretty loud most of the night, however, we were on the opposite side and it was very quiet (note, the bar is not inside of the hotel, it is a seperate building next door). My only suggestions would be to have something for breakfast. There is a kitchen so you could bring food with you and cook or put dinner leftovers in the refrigerator, but some local baked goods (muffins, pastries, etc) from a local bakery/coffee shop would be nice for breakfast. And there is no TV on the property. None are in the rooms and there isn't one that is for the hotel. So, my other recommendation would be to either outfit the rooms with TVs or at least have a "TV room" in one of the common areas with maybe a DVD player and some DVDs. However, they do have wifi and most of the time it was stable enough that we were able to watch Netflix from our laptop that we brought. Other than the two things mentioned above, we were VERY happy with our stay here and would highly recommend it and would absolutely stay in the future if we return to Bisbee. Please understand, if you are looking for a full service Mariott type of atmosphere, THIS IS NOT IT! However, if you are looking for a historic hotel, B&B type of atmosphere with historic mining town charm, this is definitely the place for you.

actually we were pleased with this hotel but I am only rating it a 3 because I have to be honest for those who may want to stay here. This is a very cute hotel and the host is very nice. We really had this hotel to ourselves which was great. But because of the age of the hotel and the fact that it was a boarding house, the rooms are very small, so you need to know that going in if you are going to stay here. Also, if the hotel is busy (which it was not when we stayed) I believe it would be very loud ... meaning you would hear all the other patrons. I could be wrong but I do not think so. anyway, we enjoyed our stay and a very convient location. We espeically enjoyed sitting in the breakfast area. It feels more like staying in someone's home or maybe a bread and breakfast rather than a hotel.

I originally had reservations at the Copper Queen but their reservation system crashed and they gave my room away. I had nowhere to go and The Bisbee Inn took me at the last minute which was awesome. The lady managing. I think her name was Joyce? She was amazingly nice and accommodating. She genuinely cared for the situation I was in and made me very comfortable. The room I had was very clean. I had a private shower/toilet. It was a quirky room with the sink in the bedroom. The WiFi worked perfectly and the kitchen down the hallway had ice, coffee, filtered water. Big fridge if you wanted to bring food or sodas. If you don’t like noise ask for a room towards the back. I was in room 1 in front of the building. The Inn is beside a bar and a road above the brewery/beer garden so it gets understandably loud on the weekends. Didn’t really bother me because I’m used to it. Overall a pleasant surprise for a last minute emergency choice!

We had a very nice stay at the historic Bisbee Inn. Lucy was very accommodating and helpful. There wasn’t an iron in our room but she had one available at the front desk. Nice kitchen and game room with coffee, oatmeal and English muffins etc for breakfast. The room was cute and had a nice walk in shower. Bisbee was having a blues festival over the weekend which was a pleasant surprise. We had a blast! Good music and we took a haunted pub crawl tour. If you take the haunted tour of the hotel you get a discount which we wanted to do but didn’t think we would make it in time for that tour since we were driving across country. The hotel was completely booked and it was pretty quiet considering the partying that was going on in town. My only complaint which probably wouldn’t have been an issue if there wasn’t a big event is that parking was horrendous. After we dropped our bags off It took us about 30 minutes to find parking about a quarter mile away. But like I said I don’t think it would be an issue if the town wasn’t completely packed.

My friend and I were looking for a hotel that was pet friendly. This place worked and was so much more then my friend and I could asked for. Lucy is a one of kind GEM and talk about customer service could not of expected anything better We were there during the week a slower time for Bisbee ...had the whole hotel to ourselves, felt like home away from home. Has a continental style breakfast...., but you can bring your own food.... has guest side by side fridge/ freezer, If so desired you could cook all your meals. BTW they wash the dishes!!! We were in room # 2 very nice, clean, quiet although you may here more noise on the weekend. Off street parking is available, everything with in easy walking distance. Of note there is no TV (no issue for us) but Free WIFi, If you are looking for a place to unplug and takes you back in time you will not be disappointed in choosing The Bisbee Inn

This was the perfect place to stay after a motorcycle ride from Phoenix. It was quaint, with so much character. Lucy was so welcoming when we arrived. She gave us some great recommendations for places to go. Kitchen, sitting area, coffee in the morning and some small items for Breakfast. The ghost tour went through the Inn and we had so much fun having them "check our rooms" for ghosts. Showers were hot. Would definitely stay here again

I recently spent the better part of a month at the Bisbee Inn; and I can heartily endorse it. It is very clean, very quiet, and within walking distance of everything in Old bisbee. Lucy (the manager) is gracious, friendly, and very responsive. The Inn is a terrific example of Old Bisbee. It is more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. Greg Smith-Seattle

Super cozy with great owners. Lucy checked in on my friend and I to make sure we were having a good time. The hotel is like taking a step in the past and beautifully decorated. Would definitely stay again.

We have stayed at the Bisbee Inn three times in recent years. Great for extended stays as they have a full kitchen when we wish to dine in. We often have the hotel to ourselves when off season. Good value overall. The rooms are clean and well furnished. Its an old hotel so it has character. Not perfect but perfect for low key people needing a clean and easy place to stay. No noisy cable TVs in the rooms. They do have wi-fi for visitors.
