Very central, close to everything you would like to walk to. Room 202, loved the high ceilings. Kitchen appliances old, floor needs replacing, same as carpet and most of the furnishings. This place could use a re-do. Staff very nice. Odd thing happened last night. I was visiting our friends on another floor, wife went to bed. She was getting ready for bed and thought I had entered the room. She yelled "Hey" I was not there though still visiting friends. Both of us in the middle of the night felt something sit on the end of the bed, my wife thought a cat jumped on I thought someone sat on the bed. Both confirmed this in the morning when we got up. Really odd. BTW, we did not do a haunting tour.

I liked it. I was not planning to stay the night there but I was tired of driving. The rooms are interesting. Basic but good. I could see myself going back there. It only had a portable and a window shaker ac but we did not use them anyway. They were a bit noisy.

My wife & I did not originally intend on staying here, but due to a “computer crash” at the Copper Queen (see my review of it for the full details) we were told to “go down the street to the Gym Club. They will have a room for you”. When we arrive at they Gym Club we find out he has already provided rooms to several other couples in the same situation and has only one room left. It’s on the 4th floor and the elevator only goes to the 3rd floor. Oh boy, this is going to be interesting as my wife has recently had hip replacement surgery and still has quite a bit of difficulty with stairs. With no other options on a Saturday afternoon in Bisbee we took the room. Getting to the room was indeed quite challenging for my wife. There was 20 steep stairs from the 3rd floor to the 4th. Good thing we brought her pain medication. Our room is called “Ravens Rest” it’s suite 402. The room was great! It was quite large, it is actually a suite. It has a full kitchen, a dining area adjacent to the living room equipped with 2 couches. A queen bed in the main bedroom and up another flight of stairs - a loft with a double bed and a balcony with an amazing view of old Bisbee, including B Hill and Brewery Gulch area. The living room has a TV as does the loft bedroom. Make sure to check out my photos. When we arrived the cleaning crew was still in the process of preparing the room. Not their fault, they had been overwhelmed by the guests Copper Queen could not accommodate and had referred to the Gym Club. Cleaning staff were very pleasant and cleaned the bathroom first so my wife could get ready for our reunion dinner while they finished cleaning the rest of the d suite. They do a good job. The room and linens were clean. This is a really unique room with some nice features. The only reason I give it a rating of 4 instead of 5 is because I couldn’t get the heat working in the room. It wasn’t that chilly, but I even turned the heat up all the way and waited an hour and no heat seemed to be coming out.

I have stayed here 3-4 times. Wifi is poor/intermittment. Full-size kitchen, but you cannot prepare a meal unless you bring your own cookware, cooking/baking utensils, mixing bowls etc. When we arrived most of the dishes were in the dishwasher and dirty from the previous guest. The place is in need of repair/updating and a deep clean. The carpets are filthy and the bed linen smells dirty. When we were packing to leave, we found a trail and pile of either dog feces (dogs not allowed). There are plenty of other places to stay with similar amenities for the same cost per night.

The manager,Ray, was very nice and had gotten us into our room, (actually a 1 bedroom apt), quickly. The location is great and has free parking right across the street. The bldg is secure and is walking distance to all you need! We had great views from all of our windows. There might be other reviews where people were not satisfied with their stay here but we loved it. Though some people are never happy...we are not hard to please! We want a place that's clean and close to everything. We like comfortable beds and hot water for our showers! We want friendly management and staff. We love decent prices and a parking place right there so we don't have to carry our luggage far! It might be hard to find a parking place during festivals but be patient because someone is always leaving and once you get a spot then your car is there to stay! I LOVED OUR STAY HERE AND WILL DO SO AGAIN SOMEDAY!! : )

100 years ago this building was a gymnasium, but it has been refurbished into rooms and suites for travelers. The rooms are quite spacious, come equipped with kitchens, it's relatively clean, quiet, and within walking distance to just about everything in Bisbee. Definitely a good value for the price. And I really appreciate the fact that each room is featured on their website, so you know exactly what you are reserving.

The Gym Club Suites are in a convenient location in the heart of Old Bisbee. Stores and restaurants all in walking distance. However, the suites need upgrading. We stayed in 104, and it was not worth the price we paid. The beds were not comfortable. The flip flop sofa was a nightmare for an older person to sleep on. It might be tolerable for a child. The kitchen has very minimal basic supplies. If you enjoy a glass of wine at night, bring your own opener. The worst part of the stay was being woken up by youthful guests screaming and using foul language on their adjacent outside deck. I call the office the next day to complain. I'll be looking for somewhere else to stay in Bisbee.

The hotel is in a great location, however, parking, or the lack there of, is situated across the street in a public parking lot (if there is space), or on the street. Remembering that this was a gymnasium turned hotel suites, the check in desk is just that, a desk in a hallway. The sign on the door says check-in is 3-7pm, so don’t expect to check in early. The gentleman checking us in was very nice, and explained the rules of this establishment. Now on to the suite review...it had two queen beds, one upstairs in a loft, the other downstairs off the dining area. The living room had a chair, a loveseat, 2 small side table with lamps, and a flat screen tv. All pieces really needed to be replaced. The room description was for 4 occupants, but there was only 3 of us. Had there been just one more person in our party that person would have had to either sit on the floor, or grab a chair from the dining room The furniture was a little tired, and dirty. The dining area had a table with 6 chairs. The kitchen was equipped with all he essentials. The upper bedroom had a large rocker/recliner in the sitting area, a queen bed, that the mattress needed to be replaced a long time ago, and a “real old-fashion “tv”! It also had a dresser, and a night stand on one side of the bed. The bathroom is on the second landing, then one more flight of stairs up to the loft bedroom. The room was clean, quite charming, and very unique. My only suggestion to the owner is to replace some of the tired furniture, and address the shower head that sprayed water everywhere. We did tell the manager about this issue. The hotel has three stories, and a basement where the laundry room is located, and has an elevator, two entrances, one in the front of the building that you have to take stairs to get to, and an alley entrance so you can unload your luggage without having to climb stairs. We all had a great time, and loved Bisbee.

The website for this place was misleading and the utter indifference of the staff was stunning. The website for the room we rented said "Enjoy the stunning panoramic view of Bisbee and the B mountain from your window." It didn't mention that the ONLY window was in the loft, in an alcove that you could only look out of while standing up and that half of the window was taken up by a window air conditioner. The space was large but most light fixtures had bare bulbs, the carpet was dingy, and there was no air conditioner for the lower level - only the window unit in the loft. While the website does say free "public parking" good luck finding a space in the lot. There was not even a designated unloading space (and you will have to take your bags up a half flight to get to an elevator). All of this might not have made such a poor impression on me if the staff had been welcoming, seemed interested in helping, interested in ensuring we enjoyed our space or time in Bisbee, etc. but they were not. Would not recommend.
