Nice & Quiet! Quaint vintage trailers to rent per night. Love the collectible accents and record player touch. Nice clean showers available right next door. Felt like we stepped back in time. Close to Bisbee - the old mining ghost town!
We so looked forward to staying here. We loved the idea behind the retro trailers. We wanted to be taken back to a time when trailer travel was the way to go. We arrived a bit late around 8PM. We made our way to our trailer. #15. The AC was on making the whole trailer ice cold. The outside temp was already down in the low 60's. There was no heat. That's OK we took the covers off of the other bed. Before we went to bed we tried to watch the vintage tv out of curiosity, no picture, thats ok lets play some records!!. Nope. the turntable played at half speed on both settings. I guess its time for bed then! Come morning it is shower time. Uh oh! no hot water!! Not good. We walked the grounds before trying to check out. There is no one around so we left the key in the trailer and went on our way since we prepaid. We so wanted to love this experience but came up short. This place could be a gold mine if run differently.…
We statyed at the Shady Dell for our 15 year Anniversary. We stayed one night in the TikI Bus and the next night in the Chris-Craft Yacht. We lvoed them both and plan on coming back to try a few more.
This is one of the coolest and funkiest places to stop in the USA. The opportunity to stop in a 1950s RV, complete with LP turntable and 1950s Black and White TV, this is simply fantastic. All of the RVs are equipped with air con, a welcome pack and everything you could need for a fun stay. It will be even better once they get the 50s diner up and running and the mini drive in movie theatre. Just fantastic, can highly recommend this place to stay at.
We LOVE public art and artistic creations, this RV park is a blast from the past and we couldn't resist visiting. We came for a tour and opted to stick around and stay in a mini-canned ham. Our little AERO (spelling) had a vintage TV that we curled up infront of and watched a movie from the 50s with a bottle of wine after lounging outside for a few hours. It was a perfect, quaint, evening spent with my someone special in a throwback time we never experienced ourselves.
