This is a cute little place tucked just off the main road so you are close to everything but felt like you were in the woods. They have Reindeer on the premises and you can help feed them at certain times. The room had a fireplace and a little kitchenette with everything you needed including muffins and juice for the... A beautiful, large and comfortable room Thanks to the inn's solar panels this may be the most economical place to catch up on your vacation laundry. We had a wonderful conversation with Harvey as he was doing his chores.

Thank you for staying with us and writing a review. We appreciate your comments. Harvey and I enjoy taking time to talk about the solar electric and solar hot water systems installed on each building. Between our rocks and fossils, the reindeer, and the solar systems there is always plenty to talk about. Sandy Agate Inn More

Agate Inn Our favorite stay during our 10-day trip. Room was extra spacious, comfortable and spotless. All the amenities to make for a pleasant stay including a comfortable leather recliner, choice of shower or whirlpool bath and light breakfast items in the fridge. A refreshing break from the large chain hotels. Felt like home. If you are lucky as we... More

The owners are very nice and the place is very comfortable and private. If you enjoy a quiet place to stay, this is it. The location is not bad either. I was able to get to everything around town in a reasonable amount of time. Also, they have Reindeer!

A wonderfully welcoming Inn tucked away in Wasilla. We stayed here one night between Anchorage and Denali. The in room breakfast was good. The room was spotless! The owners were very friendly. And they have pet REINDEER. We took them out for a morning stroll. Such a fun experience!!!

We were touring Alaska and needed a place to stay in Wasilla. The Agate Inn is either newer or newly remodeled. It is very clean and quiet. As with other places we found in Alaska, there is cereal, coffee and other things for the guests to use if they wish. I would recommend this place to others. They also have... More

Stayed one night traveling through Wasilla. 2 bedroom suite we had was clean but outdated. It appeared to be an old motel building. Breakfast was left in the fridge for us and was a muffin for each of us and some cold cereal. Not much contact with the owners. A place to sleep and it was OK for that.

My group of 6 adults + 2 small children stayed in the Guest House for 5 nights. It was a wonderful home base for us as we made day trips throughout the area. The bedrooms were comfortable and having separate bathrooms for each couple plus the lavatory downstairs was wonderful -- so much easier to get ready in the morning!... More

Every aspect of booking, checking in, payment and the actual stay was very smooth. We stayed in the Susitna Cottage for almost a week. The cottage is perfect for 2 couples or a family of 4-5. Has a full kitchen, dishwasher, so you can do a lot of cooking and cut down on eating out expenses. The living room is... More

We only stayed one night as we were traveling north to Denali, but Harvey and Sandy were so nice, taking time to show us around. The room was large and clean. The whirlpool tub was nice, as was a mini frig and microwave. Would recommend using the Inn!
