Detailed Reviews
Schade.

Comfortable, clean and beautiful B & B! Large, landscaped back yard slopes down to lake with several areas set up for outdoor relaxation. Our room was large with sofa and flat screen TV. Thoughtful placement of eye shades for use during short summer nights was appreciated. Great nights sleep. Did share a large bathroom with other guest, but never a problem. Breakfast was delicious with homemade breakfast casseroles, breads and jellies! Dining room was decorated with beautiful, large pieces from Germany. Hostess was friendly but not obnoxiously. Hope to go back someday!

When our plans changed and I canceled through Booking.com nearly two months prior to my scheduled stay, I was charged. The cancellation penalty of 100% is stated on Booking.com, but buried in a link. I tried to resolve through Booking.com, but owner refused to budge. Even though I had never made a payment, she found my credit card number and charged it after I canceled.

9 of us stayed at Alaska's Lake Lucille bed and breakfast for 2 nights. We were made to feel at home. The accommodations were homey, comfortable and quiet. Carol was an excellent hostess. The hot breakfast was wonderful. Excellent place to stay. Will stay here again!

The pictures do not do justice to the peace, quiet, and beauty of this place. The rooms and bathroom are spacious and clean. The grounds gardens and deck by the water are well maintained and ready to be enjoyed. The special homemade breakfast is a great way to start the day. Thank you Carol for opening your house.

We stayed for one night in July, 2015. The house is located in front of the lake lucille and has beautiful view.
This B&B run by mom&daughter and they are really nice and talented ladies. Bed was comfortable and the breakfast was great! Host lady is very talented at crafts and cooking. They are also selling Handmade cards and other craft stuffs and all of them are pretty and nice so we bought several cards from them. I strongly recommend this B&B!

The accommodation, outlook and breakfast served at this B&B are all excellent. It is a lakefront property with beautiful, extensive and well maintained grounds. The rooms are immaculate, cosy and comfortable. Hosts Carol and her effervescent daughter ensure an always welcoming stay.

We recently stayed at thuis charming B&B on the lake. Carol out host couldn't have been any nicer or more accomodating. The room was spacious and clean. Nice linnens and exta pillows. 'The food was very tasty and a good variety to fill you up before your day of Alaska adventures. The location was convienient and easy to find. We went to the Iditarod museum located very close by and then drove Hatcher's Pass to Independence Gold mine for a great day of siteseeing. Carol's recommendation for resturants to helping print boarding passes made our stay seem like we were staying with friends. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone staying around Wasilla or anchorage( 1 hour from the airport). We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Outstanding B&B. Had 3 rooms for 1 night in June 2015. Beautiful lake location with a dock. Suites were large, well appointed, and each had a large sitting room. Carol went out of her way to make us comfortable. She was waiting for us on our late arrival, and offered us a choice of the available suites. Breakfast was excellent. The place is a quilters and crafters museum. Beautiful stuff everywhere. We've stayed at lovely B&Bs all over the world, and this place is among the top. Well done, Carol.

Bob Crowe needs to answer question regarding his review of B & B.
Greetings,
Thank you for your interest in our B & B. Unfortunately, we don't have any of those items to use on the lake. There is a rental place on the Parks Highway that use to rent those items out. The shop is called Alaska Toy Rental on the Parks Highway and Knik Goose Bay Road.
If you have any additional questions, just send us an email.
Again, thank you!
Carol
