The lodge is excellent the rooms nice and comfortable. The food is the best you've had. The gear and guides are top notch. You can fly fish the lakes rivers and streams on the island or get on the boat and catch multiple species in salt water, while watching whales, seals and sea lions.

Just visited Boardwalk lodge for a 4 day 5 night fishing trip. Brad and his team took great care of our group. Great food, great fishing and a beautiful location. We were looking for a lodge for a variety of activities including sightseeing, fishing and relaxing. Boardwalk delivers. We did both freshwater and saltwater fishing. The experienced guides made it easy with all the necessary gear and equipment along with their knowledge of where, when and what bait the fish were biting. Just an awesome trip and great experience. Whether you’re looking for a fishing trip with friends, family adventure or just enjoying the beauty of the inner passage up close, you can’t beat Boardwalk!

Stepping onto the boardwalk from the seaplane in Thorne Bay, Alaska’s Boardwalk Lodge is a fantastic experience. Rest assured, dear traveler, this place is amazing. From the five star dining and meticulous house staff to the knowledgeable and energetic guides, we enjoyed 2 days of fresh and 2 days of salt water fishing. I came without knowing anything about fly fishing, yet upon departure, I still don’t know much but have the confidence and fire to learn more. The fly fishing excursions were amazing as we hiked from 10 minutes to learn the basics to over 1.5 miles through the forest to find the choice salmon runs. The saltwater fishing was amazing as well, fishing for halibut in 250ft waters and then spending the afternoon trolling for salmon. This land is such a bountiful area! The guides truly love what they do and impart their decades of knowledge onto the guests. The chefs and hospitality staff are top notch. Every meal was meticulously prepared and belonged in the finest of restaurants. The hospitality staff are prompt, responsive and seemingly know what you need before you even request it. They are youthful and full of charm. Did I mention Brad, the owner, is on premises and is such a great person. He has put his heart and soul into this establishment over the past 20 years! Your fellow guests are amazing as well, sharing a passion for fishing and the outdoors. If you are looking for an amazing getaway and to be able to forget about the rest of the world, even for a few days, please check out this lodge. We will be coming back!

Can't recommend this lodge highly enough!!! Amazingly beautiful, staff is caring and attentive. Our guide Jordan shared his knowledge and passion for nature and had us on fish the entire time. From fly fishing to hooking the fish (shark) of a lifetime we could not have asked for better!!

I've been to a number of fishing or hunting lodges over the years and this staff from ownership (who was on property) to the guides, kitchen staff and hospitality were not only all very nice people but also very hard working and skilled at their jobs. I went in July when the fishing is very productive and flew home with 40lbs of vacuum sealed fish filets. Highly recommend this lodge.
