PLEASE READ OTHER REVIEWS AND IGNORE THE FAKE ONCE!!! The place is total disaster. Staff has no manners don't mind any form of customer service. We travelled there with friends (2 couples). First when we arrived at 12 am, we have been told that our rooms were not ready (despite we had a reservation for that day so it should be ready for us from 2 pm). We've been placed into one, very run down room. We had to wait until 2 pm the next day to get our rooms. Which again were not what we ordered and paid extra for. Staff is extremely rude, to the level I never seen before. The place is run down and dangerous. They ask you to pay extra for the activities like snooker-please see the photos of the equipment Don't be fulled by their all inclusive option, we had that at it is nowhere near the standard you would expect. Worse of all they try to scam you at the checkout with some "penalties". They know you are on rush to the airport and they will try to take money of you (in our case they told us we have to pay €45 for taking sandwiches into our room - we had all inclusive option) AVOID AT ANY COST!!!

Area, Location (4/5) • We visited the Marsa Alam area for the second time and chose this hotel on a recommendation of friends. We travelled 2 adults and 12 year old daughter from July 24 to August 7, 2022. • About 1 hour from the airport, depending on the number of passengers dropping off at hotels along the route. • Standard closed hotel resort typical for this area of Egypt - no town in the immediate vicinity of the resort. The nearest town El Quseir is about 20 km away. Sea, beach (5/5) • Breathtaking sea and underwater life - the main reason why we chose this area and the hotel. • We saw countless species of fish and aquatic animals in dazzling color variations. • I count as a dream come true when dolphins swam among us and played with us - an experience of a lifetime. • Enclosed lagoon, access to the sea from the beach, pier not available but not needed. • Access from Hotel Pensee with small pebbles, from Hotel Utopia with larger pebbles - sure it's more comfortable with water shoes, but we managed the whole stay without them. • We experienced calm and wilder sea, especially on the open reef where there were sometimes bigger waves. • There is one coral right at the entrance from the Pensee Hotel, but unfortunately it is already quite damaged, especially by unruly people who constantly climb on the coral and kill it. • The next coral is at the entrance of the Utopia Hotel. There are other lagoons and reefs by the open sea, where the coral is unspoiled and offers a spectacle often comparable or better than what you can see on the Discovery Channel. • There are sufficient number of sunbeds and parasols on the beach and it never happens you don't have a place where to rest. Immediately as you arrive the beach, the staff will bring you the number of mattresses you need. • There are also 8 palm tents (very comfortable and shady) which are usually won by the early birds. We met also selfish holidaymakers who had places marked overnight, but this is against the rules and most importantly very unfair. • Unfortunately, there is no system of red flags, which mean a stop for sellers and especially in the beginning you are harassed over and over again by the same people. • For such a large beach, there are only two desalination showers by the lunch area, which have very little water flow. We solved it by going next to the Utopia beach among the nice Italians. It was closer and better showers. Hotel and room (3/5) • Among the guests were mostly Czechs, then Egyptians, Germans and other nationalities in the minority. • We arrived at the hotel at 7:30 AM. We went for breakfast and got our bracelets and room at 10 am. • The rooms are modestly furnished, we did not expect luxury. It has always been clean and honestly, we only ever use the room for showering and sleeping. • I cannot rate the hotel's WIFI. I was using a Vodafone data SIM card. I bought it on arrival at the airport, 52 GB for 19 $ - I made sure it was new, unwrapped and put it in my phone myself. It ran smoothly the whole time and we used it 100% with my family. Personnel (4/5) • Generally everyone is nice and helpful. There were two or three bartenders who acted very arrogant at times, but I think it was due to the fact that they were overworked and working several days without rest. • I must and want to highlight the work of the reception and repairmen. At the beginning we had problems with the air conditioner, which was dripping water. The receptionist sent a repairman. In the evening the problem repeated and so did the repair at 10 PM. Another amount of silicone sealant helped for the night. When we went for breakfast in the morning, the cleaner asked us if everything was already in order. I said it was still dripping a bit and he said he take it up with the manager. The repair took about two hours, even with welding and the result was the working air conditioner with no drips for the rest of our stay. • It was very annoying to be constantly overtaken by Arab people in queues. Some staff accepted this, others returned them at the end of the queue, as I always did. Food and beverages (2/5) • In general, there was always a tasty choice of food for breakfast, lunch (on the beach) and dinner. • You had to pick the right time when there were no queues and free tables. • Drinks in general are OK, both soft and alcoholic locally produced. • The main problem is using of 0.1 L plastic single-use cups. This creates a huge amount of waste that is polluting Egypt and, by extension, the entire planet. We had our 0,5 L drink cups with us, but some of the bartenders had a problem with that. • Beer, the drink of the Czechs, was also a huge problem. They never put beer in our cup. You had to order eight 0.1 L cups (about half foam and half beer) to fill your 0.5 L cup. You can imagine the amount of waste involved in drinking beer, not to mention the degradation of beer through pouring. We discussed it with the manager and he said that they sort the waste, but I don't believe him because they mix plastic, paper and food in one bag. • If people could pour their own soft drinks into their own cups, the bartenders could put beer into own cups, the hotel would save tremendously on both staff and waste, and there wouldn't be such long queues. Entertainment (1/5) • The animators did almost nothing. No entertainment on the beach (maybe sometimes 20 minutes aqua aerobics in the sea), at the hotel, nothing. I can compare it with the animations on the next beach at the Utopia Hotel, where they were very action. • Also, the equipment is terrible. Rattling speakers, broken darts, unmaintained fields. • The evening children's disco was sometimes led by a holidaymaker because the animators didn't know it. • We saw one of the evening program (fakir show and tanoura dance) and it was very successful and nice. • We only used the pool for one hour in the whole fifteen days. Especially we came here for the sea. The pool was closed three times during our stay due to water quality. Trips and shopping • We took one trip to the next village, El Quseir, where there were supposed to be shopping opportunities and a city tour. The city tour was about 20 minutes and we saw the walls of the churches, the mosque and the incredible mess all around. We only used the pharmacy purchase, which is generally very worthwhile in Egypt. Please don't get ripped off and insist on paying only the prices that are listed on the medicine packages. The other promised shopping options consisted of only one street with shops of friends from the guide. • We used the shopping center opposite the hotel and then the shops at the airport on the way home. Conclusion (4/5) • I have a personal problem with the non-sorting of waste and the senseless accumulation of waste. But this is a general problem and not only for this hotel. • I can say for my family that it was one of the best holidays. The beautiful sea and the surroundings enchanted us. • I would like to come back here again and I recommend a holiday here.

Smaller, moderate, practical hotel with accommodation in buildings and bungalows. Everything is close. Rooms and all other spaces are maintained, clean. Food was tasty, varied, you could always choose. It is true that there was no spectacular presentation, but the meals were continuously supplemented. At this time, we all have to behave rational. Nobody stayed hungry. I was very likely to resolve conflicts with inadaptable guests who tend to go to the dining room for lunch only in a wet swimsuit and in a shirt. We could all stay here comfortably. Lunch was served in the beach restaurant. Top. The staff is willing and helpful and will solve every problem with an overview. If this is a bit possible, there is no problem with the earlier check in and with the later check out. Interestingly, every day at breakfast tables we were waiting for hotel mininewspaper with current information. The biggest bonus of this hotel is its beach. Simply great !! Suitable for all. From toddlers to a century. For non -swimmers and for lovers of swimming, snorkeling, diving. The coral reef is beautiful. Great rest !! AMON Spa & Beauty Salon ------------------------------------------ As Mr. Hassan informed me, Amon Spa has a network of several services on the Red Sea coast. I was on a series of massages in their SPA at the Pensee Hotel. There is a pleasant, nice and highly professional staff. Miss Naglaa has magic hands. Simply top. Thank you

It the worst experience i’d in my life. I made reservation from 27-July for 5 days, but I have checked out the day after(i.e. on 28-July), and it was absolutely the right decision. The rooms are extremely old, the toilets smell very bad, the road from the rooms to the rooms to the beach is not safe and has a lot of sharp edges that caused injures to my wife and one of the kids of my friend. And finally …. The food was extremely ugly, no variaties and taste very bad… really, we have been two families there and we had the impression that we were in prison restaurant. On the night, you can see a lot of geckos in the rooms ceiling. It is never deserves even 2 stars. We paid extra money (was not really much) and we moved to 5 stars hotel was close by. Be careful!

Terrible service by all levels reception, checking in, soft drinks"basement level" no air conditioning in the reception while we are in July and temperature is 37degree Celsius. A problem with a guest happened and the hotel turned into angry people just yelling to each other for more than 20 minutes. Agents were not professional at all in that situation

We absolutely enjoyed this amazing vacation! We have tried here many things here, such as quadrocycles, diving on beautiful reef, massage and also many activities with animation team, such as stretching, aqua gym, yoga - we are in love with this! Special thanks to animator Elena - stretching with her was great joy and very glad to meet such outgoing girl. We will comeback for sure!
