One of the most enjoyable trips I have taken with my wife, and we have taken many.
First, what might come to mind to fellow travelers, is it safe. Absolutely yes. We have traveled from Brahma Bay to Luxor and to Port Ghaleb and did not feel unsafe. People are warm, welcoming and helpful.
No. 2 Airport and visa. We got oir visa online within a couple of days. Entry into Egypt at Marsa Alam was crowded but easy. Process was relatively fast.
No. 3. Language. Wherever we went we were met by people who could communicate freely in many languages.
No. 4 Cleanliness. Brahma Bay is a very well maintained Ed resort. It is run by well attentive staff from the smiling and helpful Mohamed at the front desk to Ahmed, Omar etc in the restaurant to the cleaning person who took care of oir room, to the entertainment people and even Arafat the towel person on the beach. Very professional persons who add quality and comfort to your visit.
As for the hotel itself; around 10-15% (an estimate) is under or needs renovation. We were initially given a room needing renovation but for an extra $10 a

My first impression of the hotel was very good- as soon as we arrived we got wristbands and could use hotel service. My friends, who stayed at the hotel several times, got VIP wristbands (although there were no diffirence with service provided). After night spent on the plane getting a welcome drink was really nice.
We got a room in an old building which is quite worn up but is did not matter because we hardly ever stayed in the room. All rooms have seaside view. Our room was downstairs which was fantastic because we literally sat in the stunning garden with beautiful birds, colourful plants and flowers. The hotel gardens is one of the best things hotel could be proud about. Huge, clean, well kept.
The whole complex is impressive- it took us about half an hour to get from one end to another walking the promenade.
The beach is sandy. The bay itself is coral reef so there are some restrictions where you can walk or swim. The water (February) was crystal clear and you can watch coral reef fish without underwater mask. Sometimes a pod of dolphins appeared and braver men swam with them.
The food was Ok (if you do not compare it with other hotels). Not enough place in the restaurant; if you wanted to have a place you had to arrive earlier.
Staff was very professional and helpful.
Great animation team (actually 2 teams). You always found an entertainment (morning excercise, yoga classes, dancing, aquagym etc.)
So I would definitelly recommend the hotel and looking forward to visit it again.

We have just returned from our 4th holiday at this fabulous resort. We stayed for 3 weeks and because all the Beach Front Rooms that we usually stay in are being fully renovated, we stayed in a Luxury Sea View Room in Block 3. These rooms have recently been fully renovated, and have been done very well, with new flooring, new bathroom, new doors and all the paintwork renewed. The rooms are all a lovely size, and with adequate storage for clothes etc.
The Pool area is just lovely, with exotic palms on an island in the centre and with a swim up bar to one side. The outside dining area overlooks this tropical scene with plenty of shelter to eat out of the heat of the sun. Inside the dining room there is ample seating, and the buffet style food is served at one side. There are lovely salads, soups, and various dishes inside, with a fresh pasta chef outside. The included wine is really good, as are the spirits and mixers and juices.
There is a lovely heated indoor pool within the Wellbeing Centre, with direct access from the outside. I can re3commend the massages....we had 3 massages each while we were there, and probably the best that we have had. There is entertainment every night IF you want it, or you can simply relax in Tiffany Bar, with outside seating as well as indoor. The gardens are absolutely beautiful, and always bursting with colour.
The resort has 2 reefs on either side of the bay, and can be accessed directly from the beach, There are plenty of fish and loads of colour.
I just have to give a special mention to all the fantasatic staff, who just cannot do enough for you. They are all so friendly, and we have made personal friends for life with many
We are returning again in September for 4 weeks, and can’t wait, as this has now become our 2nd home.

During the challenging time we have decided to spend relaxing beach holidays at Brayka Bay Resort. We have made a good choice.

Due to covid all safety precautions have been taken to allow to enjoy our holiday break.
The hand sanitizer dispensers were available everywhere. Before entering a hotel's restaurant the temperature was checked everytime. All staff were wearing face masks, a set of cutlery was individually packed, tasty food was served by chefs.

The room service was just perfect!

Gardens so beautiful!

Hussien and Reda thank you so much for making holidays even better:)

Mohammed and Ramy thank you for a gin&tonic.

We can highly recommend spending holidays at Brayka Bay Resort. It is safe.

See you.

Kasia.

Brayka Bay Resort & Royal Brayka Beach Resort are two different Resorts, but have some shared services. Make sure you know which one you are booking,
Brayka Bay is located 48km South of Marsa Alam Airport. Make sure your flight is to Marsa Alam and Not Hurgada! Hurgada is a 3 1/1 hour (mini)bus ride. (& not particularly entertaining).
Royal Brayka Beach Resort draws a largely Eastern European crowd. The Facilities (Gym, Pools, and Buildings) appear to be in slightly better conditions than the neighboring Brayka Bay Resort.
Brayka Bay Resort is actually the better one all things considered. The Buildings, Rooms, Pools, are all in need of some maintenance. However, everything was in “working order”. The exception was the Gym equipment in the Brayka Bay Resort. but we can´t complain because we were allowed to use the Gym of the Royal Brayka next door. The Royal Brayka Gym is in much better condition than the Brakya Bay.
Since there is no way to correctly describe Brayka Bay in a 1,500 word review,, I will add the rest in the detailed page for Brayka Bay.

Dear Bill S , Thank you for your recent comment on TripAdvisor regarding your recent stay at Brayka Bay. We are pleased to learn that you enjoyed your stayed in Marsa Alam. For us is very important that our guests feel comfortable and happy during their stay in the hotel. Regarding your comment about usage of facilities in Brayka Bay by guests of our sister hotels, there are few facilities in Brayka Resorts that can be used by guests of all the three hotels – tennis courts, water slides, specialty restaurants and jetty. Other facilities and services are available in hotels according to booking. From all of us at the Brayka Resorts, we thank you for your wonderful review and hope to host you again soon! Kind regards, Zdeňka Steklá Guest Care Team

Like the previous reviewer (hi Christine, hope you are well!) we had just over a week of our planned 2 week holiday and were also glad that we did. It's when things go wrong that you can really get an idea of what a hotel is like and the staff at Brayka Bay Resort did its very best for us during such troubled times. As guest numbers dwindled due to people being taken home we were asked to move rooms and up-graded. Staff members were understandably worried, as were we, since we didn't know from day to day whether we were staying or going. Despite their own concerns the staff looked after us well and always had a smile.
The hotel itself is a little worn but refurbishment work was going on in one block whilst we were there. It is in a beautiful setting around a bay which means that you can snorkel most days although visibility (due to the sandy bottom) is sometimes not so good. There is a wide variety of fish and we were lucky enough on one day to swim (very briefly) with a small pod of dolphins. The gardens are absolutely stunning and kept that way by a hard working band of gardeners. The Management team are friendly and helpful. We found the food to be tasty and could always find something to our liking.
All in all, despite the circumstances, we had a wonderful holiday and hope to return when this 'madness' is over.
We wish all the staff well. Thank you and keep safe.

had a great time at brayka bay.
room was basic but fine, block 8 with garden views and side sea view, kept clean by our cleaner, salah and ahmed to a high standard
grounds are beautiful full of flowers and green grass, best grounds we have seen in a hotel.
beach was superb with plenty of sunbeds, you can walk into the sea where you will be met by an abundance of fish, nice beach bar with very good service from all staff, beach is well sheltered from any winds as it is in a bay so little need for wind breaks, lovely chilled atmosphere on beach. snorkelling in the bay was excellent with lots of fish to see, better in the morning as a bit cloudier in the afternoon.
we dont normally get involved with animation team but we did here as they were so friendly and had a lot of fun times with them at their shows and on beach and went to port ghalib one night to davinos with them that we can highly recommend, shout out to every one of them for their tireless work, professionalism and friendship, cant remember all names but special mention for thomas, omar, paulo and cabo.
we found the food to be ok, nothing special but we found something to eat every meal that we enjoyed, chefs were great fun at cooking stations.
we sat inside restaurant for most meals and our waiter ahmed was excellent, great service and always greeted us with a hello and a smile.
we went in pulse bar most nights for the shows and the young barman in there whos name escapes me was fantastic and gave us service above and beyond what we expected, remembered what drinks we had, brought drinks to our table and before we had finished one drink he had another on our table, a lovely friendly young man who is a credit to the hotel.
evening entertainment is laid back, either animation team shows or a singer in upstairs lounge and finishes about 1030 which is fine by us although you can continue drinking till 1200
we will definately return to this hotel as we had a great time and met some lovely people, many thanks to all at brayka bay

Every time I choose a hotel I read all the reviews I can, and watch as many as video available so there would be no regrets after or at least I know what to expect or pay …
Its one time a year holiday so need to make the best of it..

This time we were so wrong with our expectation to this hotel.
The workers there said that the state of almost ruined hotel is attributed to the pandemic. I tend to believe much of it.
Deserted bars lacking of AC, as the reception. Workers wearing masks sweeting as in a forging factory .

But I have no idea how the recent reviews here are made but we stayed in this hotel in June and can say that AI concept is now joke, a fake of what was before in an Egyptian hotel. Any hotel. We stayed before 4 times in Egypt in 4 and 5 stars hotels and we knew what to expect.
Nothing to say about food except few examples: smashed water melon served with spoon as desert.
No cheese, no fruit ( sliced orange sliced melon and banana, twice a stay we had slices of water melon) , no compote, one option for the main meal, no matter was lunch o dinner, sometimes liver that you could not eat.
Almost non existing fish ( except a tasteless roulade )
Soup served in ashtray like cups.
Three fried / roasted piece of potatoes per capita. ( yes, you are being served by one man standing at every corner).
Tap beer served outside the restaurant in plastic little cups.
The one time per stay restaurant meal….truly delicious have to admit. Worth booking it.

But the main and most unexpected thing was the lack of flowers and green grass that we could see on photos and videos…
It seems that for long time before, the gardens were neglected and now tens of workers were trying to restore the lost beauty.
The only thing worth going is the reef which stands still to its name. Best thing about it is that you can go scuba diving right on the beach. No need to take one day trip.
The extra activities you expect to find there …no. Everything is in ruined condition and I am afraid Corona has nothing to do with it..ping-pong table, darts billiards are all gone or impracticable.

We returned from the Brayka Bay resort on Thursday 6th Feb after having a wonderful week in the sun.

I wanted to thank Ragab all of his efforts in making sure we had a lovely holiday, which we did. Having the opportunity to use both hotels was wonderful, we made full use of the beach in the Royal Brayka Bay as it was less busy. We really appreciated the extra effort you went to for us.

I can see that you are doing renovation to both of the hotel’s and am sure that it will look fantastic when finished. At no point did this renovation work impact our holiday.

The snorkelling was great, we went in everyday. Even managed to see dolphins from the jetty on two occasions.
We wanted to make a special mention to the bar staff, who every night made sure we had a table. To the waiter (Ahmed) who always made sure we had a table for 6 for dinner. We really enjoyed the seafood restaurant, my family were especially impressed with the steaks they had and the manager there made us very welcome.

Most surprising was that the red wine was quite good, which is not often the case for all inclusive holidays.

All in all it was a brilliant holiday. We will definitely look to come again. Thank you x

I have been 15 times to the resorts in Egypt, Sharm El Sheik, Hurghada, Sahl Hasheesh, Nuweibaa, Taba and now in Marsa Alam.... From afar this location is superb, dreamlike I could say. The beach with fine sand and many palm trees, the fantastic seafront, the lush garden with many flowers and impeccable service. An extraordinary reef with rich fauna, including turtles, and in the afternoon dolphins come to the bay. What caught my attention in terms of the food, is the fact that it was very tasty and without spices, compared to the food offered in the other locations I've been to so far. The rooms are spacious and clean. Every day we were surprised by a figure made of towels and decorated with flowers, by the kind and smiling staff, who ensure our cleanliness. The staff from the restaurants and from the entertainment team are very kind and relaxed. The manager of the Brayka resort, Mr. Yasser Mohamad, agreeable and very involved, rigorous in the administration of the 2 Brayka resorts. An unforgettable experience, which I will definitely repeat soon. Thank you to all the staff at Brayka, thank you to Benjamin, the head of the restaurant who organized an unforgettable birthday party for me. Congratulations to manager Yasser Mohamad! I hope to see you again next year!
