Stayed in October 2022. I also stayed in March 2019. I returned to Brayka after my visit in 2019 knowing that I would get sick from the water, Egypt kinda does that to most people. But this time was a whole lot different! My partner and I went to brayka for a 10 day trip. I had specifically made the journey from the UK, gotten flights to hurghada and a taxi from there. The gardens have gone downhill since 2019. Sadly covid seems to have hit the place HARD! I understood. But then we went for food. We didn’t eat anything that had Egyptian water in it. And that night we got violently ill. We couldn’t get out of bed for 3 days. In that time, our room, that had absolutely NO wifi, turned out to be riddled with cockroaches! I complained by phone to the lobby. They said they would clean the room. They did nothing but a basic clean. The first day I could muster the energy to go to reception, I complained again. (Day 4) they said they would find us another room. I agreed, but not up more than 1 flight of stairs, I have bad hips. They offered us 2nd floor. No! Not good! Then they offered us a room that was smaller, the bathroom was disgusting and cracked tiles, cupboards falling off and faults everywhere. In the end, we stayed in our room just bashing everything as we walked so the roaches would scurry away before we got there. We ate that night. Night 4. Day 5, violently ill again!! We hadn’t been swimming or even really seen the sun! Cockroaches infested our bathroom and they just kept asking if they were bed bugs (cos apparently they’re serious but cockroaches aren’t) by the end of our 10 day holiday, we had 2 days in the sun! That was it. The food had made us so ill every time we ate, it’d doomed us. So this is where I got enraged!!! They gave us a ‘please come back, sorry for your stay. 10% off’ form. But the small print stated that if I sign it, I cannot come on any platform and complain! Not to my holiday rep, no one! I didn’t sign and won’t be returning. Yes, the sea is nice. Yes the bay is nice. But the rooms are a mess and if u want a double bed, DREAM ON!! Even asking for a room with a double bed, prior to booking…twin beds. I honestly wanted to go every 6 months for decades but I ended up in the doctors taking meds for some Egyptian bacteria that didn’t leave me for a month!!!! Worst holiday ever! Even after telling the staff we had belly problems, they didn’t help us. Brayka’s rooms are basic. Food, basic and tastes of nothing. The alcohol is so cheap it burns and the water is clearly dangerous. I went to see a man called Diaa, he runs the tours place in there, he was literally just supplying a lady with meds for her bad tummy as we went to ask things because he’s the only one that speaks proper English.

I have been 15 times to the resorts in Egypt, Sharm El Sheik, Hurghada, Sahl Hasheesh, Nuweibaa, Taba and now in Marsa Alam.... From afar this location is superb, dreamlike I could say. The beach with fine sand and many palm trees, the fantastic seafront, the lush garden with many flowers and impeccable service. An extraordinary reef with rich fauna, including turtles, and in the afternoon dolphins come to the bay. What caught my attention in terms of the food, is the fact that it was very tasty and without spices, compared to the food offered in the other locations I've been to so far. The rooms are spacious and clean. Every day we were surprised by a figure made of towels and decorated with flowers, by the kind and smiling staff, who ensure our cleanliness. The staff from the restaurants and from the entertainment team are very kind and relaxed. The manager of the Brayka resort, Mr. Yasser Mohamad, agreeable and very involved, rigorous in the administration of the 2 Brayka resorts. An unforgettable experience, which I will definitely repeat soon. Thank you to all the staff at Brayka, thank you to Benjamin, the head of the restaurant who organized an unforgettable birthday party for me. Congratulations to manager Yasser Mohamad! I hope to see you again next year!

I was in Egypt for the second time and I think that Brayca Resort is the most beautiful location. Impeccable beach, entertainment at any time on the beach, summer theater and in the club. Clean and beautiful rooms and impeccable food service. Thanks to Mr. Director Yasser who is a good manager. Thanks to the Brayca Divers team for an unforgettable trip. I recommend!

I have been to Egypt 15 times, but the first time was in Marsa Alam. Brayka Resort impressed us with the beautiful beach, the extraordinary coral reef, the beautiful and well-kept gardens. The hotel manager Yasser involved in solving all the tourists' complaints. A perfect stay! Thank you Yasser. Thank you Brayka.

We were a group of friends which chose the hotel because of the wheelchair access facilities and diving centre. The hotel turned out to be a disappointment in many points: Masses of guests, no table reservation for groups, refectory food, overcrowded beach, no free deckchairs, limited beverages, noisy hotel and stressed service staff. One of the rooms we booked was a superior with sea view but they gave us one without sea view on the ground floor. The room itself was quite large and the bathroom too. Hairdryer functions only with very hot air, no temperature change. The hotel offers two restaurants in the All inclusive package. The main restaurant serves buffet for all the meals which means long queues and the food has little variation and presentation is not very nice. More of a refectory. As a group and with handicapped persons you would expect that the hotel would organise a table for us, but we had to fight for one everyday. Outside sitting was never possible as all tables were always taken. We asked our waiter if he could reserve a table for us but he was unable to do so. The second restaurant Tamara serves a set oriental menu which is included in the All inclusive (once per stay) and requires a reservation, which can be difficult for a group. Not really an alternative. There is another small restaurant behind the diving centre which offers 2 or 3 set meals at an extra cost and with reservation. The majority of guests got up early in the morning in order to grab a table outside or a chair at the beach. The beach has two areas. An action area, where you have live music and shouting the whole day and the second is a quiet area near the diving centre. If you get up later than 8:00 you will not find one available beach chair. Since people just occupy the chairs with towels for the whole day. This often leads to arguments between guests. This could easily be solved if the Manager would assign the chairs to the rooms or re move towels which are not occupied. I can't imagine what the situation is like in high season. People probably queue up for deckchairs! Same situation at the pool. There are three bars; all self-order, one at the beach, one at the pool and one near the reception which is not wheelchair accessible. The staff is not always friendly. WiFi works only at the reception and is free of charge. Otherwise you can buy a SIM card in the hotel shop. The diving centre is very big and well equipped. Diving in the bay is not that interesting but there are a few daily trips nearby which they organised which proved interesting. For snorkelling the bay is too busy. Loads of swimmers, divers and snorkelers. I can't really recommend this hotel. There is much that could be done to improve it.

I visited this hotel with my family in July 2022. The hotel is big and beautiful. The room was clean and the beach was also clean. Staff is nice and attentive. My special thanks to the best bartender Mohamed Amen - thank you so much for your drinks. The food was also delicious. The hotel has very good conditions for diving - you can see turtles and if you are lucky you can also see dolphins.
