Aurora Bay Resort Marsa Alam comes highly recommended for its exceptional value, offering satisfying meals and amenities at prices that appeal to the budget-conscious. Nestled close to a tranquil bay and vibrant coral reef, the resort's location is a major highlight, as is the array of amenities like the pristine gardens and beach, which are perfect for marine exploration.
The inviting atmosphere is complemented by spacious, bright rooms with kitchenettes, although some guests suggest the pillows could be more comfortable. The staff's attentive and friendly service contributes to a welcoming, family-like vibe, and the resort's overall cleanliness receives consistent accolades from guests.

Nice place to stay, kind of "what you pay is what you get". The beach is nice for sunbathing. No wifi - so that's a huge problem! (It's 2020, seriously? You can buy wifi for the price of 3$ per 30 minutes lol)
The animation team is great though: very nice people, and provide all sorts of activities; from yoga to dancing to zumba and so on.

Wow what an amazing stay we had at this hotel, aurora bay is awesome. The facilities at the hotel are really good. We stayed in a 2 bedroom family room on the ground floor in block 12 which is near to the reception but far enough away to be nice and quiet, the swimming pools are spotless no grime around the edges which is good. There are plenty of loos around and are spotlessly clean. The shops can be expensive but you have to haggle the price to get the price that you want. I did find that in the shops they don't keep on to you to buy, they leave you alone to browse which is good unlike other places. The beach is only a short walk from reception. And the reef is one of the best house reefs I have seen in Egypt, the snorkeling is fab and to scuba dive it is never the same twice with so much to see on both sides, my family and I dived with ducks diving and the staff there are awesome especially seif who taught my daughter her padi open water and her advanced open water. Plus the facilities and equipment are really good. The facilities on the beach are great and you can always get a sun lounger, the beach boys are really helpful and will always help you. Back at the hotel the food we thought was really good with plenty of choice at every meal with the grill section every evening, the staff in the restaurant are fantastic and nothing was to much trouble for them. From setting out our table to getting us drinks, one night my wife wasn't feeling to well after a day in the sun so missed dinner and one of the staff plated her up some cheese and bread for us to take back to our room for her. Which I thought was a really nice thing to do. Sorry I can't remember his name but a big thank you to him. The bar staff was also very friendly to us, especially el nagger sayed ( carpenter ) we had some good laughs with those guys especially in the piano bar in reception, we found all the staff really happy to help us and always happy at the hotel, I must also say a big thank you to Ali hassan from reception who looked after my family and me from the minute we arrived to the minute we left, we went to luxor on a trip and got a packed lunch to take with us and when we returned we missed dinner because it was after 10pm but Ali sorted dinner out for us in our room by our surprise thank you Ali what a kind man. We have already been looking at flights back, we just waiting for pricing for hotel for next year because we are definitely returning to aurora bay. It is simply the best stay we have had in Egypt thank you to all for making our stay so great.

We stayed in this resort from 17/09 to 01/10/2023 (my wife returned earlier on 24/9) and I continued as a single for the remaining week of the holiday.
What can I say, we are very experts in the area, we have been returning to Marsa Alam for years now but first time at Aurora bay, upon arrival around midnight on 17/9 no welcome, no reception nothing at all from Baobab (tour operator) so the transfer dropped us off like migrants in front of the entrance to the village and, carrying our luggage, WE guests searched for and reached the reception where they gave us bracelets and showed us the rooms, with a very poor dinner in the room.
The morning following the briefing, the Baobab representative on site Mr. Sayed (whom I have known for a long time) explains to us for 5 minutes the timetables and organization of the resort and for 40 minutes various excursions... confirming his total availability and 24H assistance asking us to send a message to his cell phone with our names and room number for any problem.
Now let's move on to the structure, I would say discreet in the minimum average of the Egyptian standard, dated with several organizational problems and repeated requests to solve a problem such as the malfunctioning of the air conditioning, the lock of the room lock, poor cleaning, etc. etc.
Cuisine equal to other resorts, nothing special, you don't starve obviously but repetitive and nothing exciting, with few staff in the room who were distracted and not very attentive to the point that we often had to get up from the table to go get water, wine, beer, etc. etc.
Coral reef and pretty, colorful but not fantastic bay (the person writing this is because despite himself he hasn't seen anything better) general cleanliness of the rooms not overly well looked after even on the beach I would say rather poor..."refreshment" on the beach only and always uncooked frozen chips , pizza and "glue" type pasta.
Upon my wife's departure on 9/24, waiting for the bus at reception about 35 minutes late, no warning, nothing at all, much less no Baobab representative present, the driver arrived to ask who had to return to get on the bus!
To summarize I would say that all in all the location of the resort apart from the walk (also pleasant) to go to the sea is slightly above the minimum average, but on the other hand this is the Egyptian level.
Certainly with adequate assistance, and more careful attention to cleaning and general organization of services, it could become a destination for spending a good holiday.
On a positive note, the price is obviously always to be considered in relation to the treatment.
I hope I have been clear and exhaustive, in any case Egypt is always magical and transmits unique emotions that remain in the heart....

The structure is not very modern but equipped with every comfort... we had a superior room and we had a great time but from what we learned from other guests we met on site there aren't many differences.... The food is very spicy but you can always find plenty of rice and vegetables, in the evening grilled meat and bread for all tastes... rich and abundant breakfast!
Beautiful and very clean swimming pools, the walk to the sea is not long and once you get there the hunt usually begins for a free umbrella as we have found out that the sunbeds are reserved for a tip by the area staff... just go down early and have a there is always a place!!! The sea is the jewel in the crown of the structure, I have already been to other structures but I had never found such a rich and colorful reef without having to pay for an excursion!!! With patience it is easy to see turtles, we saw them four times in one week!!!
In this regard, the excursion to Sharm and Luli did not satisfy me as it does not offer much more than what I have already seen in the hotel bay!!!
If you want some advice, the excursion to Luxor is very much worth it and although it is a terrible slog (we leave at 3am and return at around midnight) I would definitely do it again!!! the bus isn't the best but with a pillow it's a sweatshirt we make do great.
The evening in Port Galib was a disappointment, I was expecting a characteristic place but instead it is the classic tourist-catching center where in one street there are only small shops with the usual local gadgets and on the other clubs and yachts... be careful as they promise cocktails at cheap prices and smoke at the free fruit and then they throw the blow!!!
For the Safari, find out well, it is undoubtedly an experience worth doing, quad, camel and Bedouin village, jeep in the desert and spectacular sunset, but it seems that on the beach they sell it for half the price of the agency!!!
Experience to be repeated!!! Equip yourself with an action cam or underwater bag to take photos!

I arrived at the hotel at the end of June and even with the heat cooking I had a great time. The cleaning of the room is perfect and if you need just ask the staff who clean your room and they do everything to help you. The food is very good and tasty, but if you go at 8pm you won't find a place, for a resort like this I imagined a slightly bigger place. The resort is equipped with a very relaxing spa and a gym with the essentials inside to train (they could make it bigger and with more equipment and also air conditioning) but you can still train all the essentials. Superb and very nice entertainers (nb make friends with them as soon as you arrive) swimming pools and sea well kept and the entertainment is perfect the bar is stocked with everything and the shops have excellent prices. Pity about the pool and ping pong tables which are not in very good shape, but you can still play

We spent 5 days in July 2021. One of the best vacations with my family. The hotel is a 4 stars and honestly could do with a little renovation and maintenance, However this was not an issue at all as the rooms were always clean, the staff was very friendly and the Pool and beach are amazing.
The hotel staff are the best thing, very friendly from reception to Housekeeping and above all an amazing recreational team (Mahmoud and Ghaly in Particular) who made an amazing atmosphere that all the guests loved.
The food was very good and plenty with good options. The beach and bay was the most amazing experience, the bay location and corals on the other side were just amazing, we could snorkle, see the sea turtles and all the package right at the bay .
Overall it was a great time spent and will definitely be coming back. To sum it up, it is great Money Value well spent.

We stayed from 28/10 to 4/11, we are a couple and we chose the 60m2 room (very large and comfortable)
BEACH: comfortable sunbeds even if some are a little broken, easy to reach even if according to some a little far away but in reality it is more than doable. you have to cross the road but there is always a guard to help you.
drinks from 10am and in the late morning we start with some snacks until 12.30pm when the buffet of pizza/chips/burgers is served every day. There is the possibility of eating grilled fish à la carte, an average price of around 15 euros.
The sea is always quite calm and warm because it is located inside a small bay. there is also a slightly higher part from which you can admire a beautiful sunset.
Games organized by pleasant entertainment
HOTEL: nice structure, from previous reviews we thought we would find decadent and old furniture but in reality it is not bad.
The paid wi-fi is really expensive and only works in the lobby and that's bad too.
Average cleanliness could be improved, only one bottle of water is given in the room per day.
There are stray dogs that wander between the beach and the resort, they are treated very well by the tourists and often feed them (us included) while unfortunately not by the staff and they chase them away in a rude way by throwing stones at them.
It's bad to witness these scenes, unfortunately the dog's conception is totally different from ours.
SPA: on the first day Max (very kind) welcomed us on the beach, explaining to us the different types of massages performed by them, including a free trial. If you want to treat yourself to a pampering, we highly recommend the golden hands of the guys at the spa.
Happy holiday!

we stayed at Aurora Bay from August 11 (arrival at 3).
When my friend and I arrived in the room we noticed the lack of water, we warned the guy who had just brought us our bags, picked up the phone saying he would notify the reception.
after 20 minutes without news I decide to pick up the phone and call back, only to notice that the phone was disconnected and the man before had clearly pretended to have called, telling us that she would arrive shortly after.
we go to reception repeating the lack of water and fortunately after 20 minutes they gave it to us and we managed to end the night.
last thing on water, there is no way that they give only 1 bottle of water a day, considering the fact that with the same, in addition to drinking it, it is also used to brush your teeth.
the next day he decides to break the air conditioning, he was just throwing hot air, we notify the reception who sent us the men to fix it. the same day the lack of water in the room is repeated.
the number of problems was making us a little nervous.
not to mention cleaning the room, they take about 7 minutes to “clean” it, sweep, change towels, and make the bed.
from a four-star village I expect my sheets to be changed and everything.
another day another problem, air conditioner broken since the morning, we notify the reception at 11 before leaving for an excursion, we return in the evening tired and hot with the hope that the air will work.
As for the food I didn't expect who knows what, but I hadn't even imagined eating alternately, pasta, rice, a few pieces of chicken etc.
knowing the problem of water in Egypt, the glasses are washed for 2 minutes scarce in the dishwasher and then put them back on display to customers without drying them. USE PAPER GLASSES.
animation here does not exist, there is the possibility to do aqua gym 20 minutes in the morning, but in the evening there is not a living soul.
in the village there is no way to have fun, there are the little shops where you can lose that hour on the first day, but then the rest of the days it is heartbreaking to go to bed at 21 after dinner.
August 15, hands us a sheet to attend dinner at the beach, of course for a fee. if you want to be a social minimum, to participate in any entertainment you have to pay. post dinner, foam party, no one who animates the party.
We had a relaxing holiday in mind, we have one holiday a year, and I pretend to be fine.
every day a problem and the addition of them made us a little uncomfortable.
I strongly advise against this village.
grade 10/10 for the staff, who have a smile on their face and always willing to help you.

Let's start from the most important thing, the sea, a very beautiful bay and wonderful coral reef, possibility of seeing turtles (we have them
seen every day), you can find them in the sandy area covered by grass, even dolphins enter the bay, in the area towards the open sea.
Food ; classic resort with international cuisine (so you have to adapt), but personally it's not a problem, vegetables, rice, chicken, fish always present, honestly I don't eat pasta and other typical Italian things in certain places.
Cleaning ; room cleaned and towels changed every morning.
Room ; I advise you to take the Superior, for the minimum cost difference you will have a larger room and you will not have a part in common with the other room. The Superior is really spacious.
Drinks ; with all inclusive you will have drinks included, all local stuff, let's say that here there is a lot of room for improvement, especially the lack of water bottles (they are only present in the canteen) in the other areas you will have to get served at the bar.
Personal ; always smiling
Internet ; we took a SIM and divided it in two, at least we use the phone little and enjoy the sea.
If you have a return flight in the evening you will be given a courtesy room for free (for 30 minutes), or at a cost of €20 you can ask to keep yours until 6pm.

seen every day), you can find them in the sandy area covered by grass, even dolphins enter the bay, in the area towards the open sea.
