Jaz Dar El Madina garners accolades for its exceptional service, with guests often noting the staff's remarkable friendliness and responsiveness. The hotel's amenities, including diverse dining options and pristine pool, beach, and room services, are popular among travelers. Guests are delighted with the value, frequently commending the a la carte restaurants and the overall quality of food. The atmosphere is described as upbeat and suitable for families, complete with entertaining activities, though some find the music lackluster. Cleanliness shines throughout, from the well-maintained rooms to the spotless grounds. While the accommodations are praised for their spaciousness and cleanliness, a few guests suggest some rooms could benefit from updates. The location is consistently praised for its excellent beach proximity and convenient room placement within the hotel.

For the 5th time in this small resort. And again I liked it fine. Friendly staff and friendly staff. Good (hot!) food. At 5 minutes from the beach with always enough sunbeds (no towel laying needed!). On a beautiful bay, so you can always snorkel. Even with strong winds. Around the entire bay a nice footpath. Well kn standing diving school. Small pool but a large aquapark next door. Less than 15 minutes from the airport.
In itself good rooms, but here and there some usage damage is starting to become visible (including a faltering access lock). People want to operate more and more environmentally consciously and have banned plastic. For example, the water is now in glass bottles, there are no butter and jam tubs, etc. Also, the changing of the beds is basically done every 3 days (unless you tell them to do so more often).
At the stand you can order your drinks and they will be brought to your bed. But you can also walk yourself to the kiosk on the Madina beach. Furthermore, there are three larger drinks and eat kiosks. Lunch is available at the beach bar (limited menu), but you can also walk to the restaurant.
The wifi in the rooms is unlike last year now fine, but on the beach it is still ailing.
We will definitely be back here next year (for the 6th time).

Just returned from a week’s holiday—my third visit but our first post-COVID. Once again, this hotel exceeded our expectations!

Despite our very late arrival (11 PM), we were welcomed like family, and a hot meal had been saved for us—such a thoughtful touch.

Our room (641) was bright, airy, and spotless. The beds were firm yet comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. Housekeeping did a fantastic job, replenishing tea, coffee, and water daily, plus leaving delightful towel art each day.

The food was exceptional, with plenty of variety and healthy options. The waiters were attentive and polite, making every meal enjoyable.

The entertainment team worked tirelessly—we loved the morning stretches and aqua gym sessions. The bar service was also top-notch, with waiters serving around the pool. A special shoutout to Bar Manager Fady for treating us like royalty!

We also used the gym daily; while it’s basic, everything was clean and in working order.

We loved our stay so much that we've already booked our return visit! The staff, ambiance, and food make this hotel absolutely amazing. If you're looking for a totally relaxing holiday, this is the place for you. But if you’re after a loud, booze-fueled trip filled with fast food, chips, and burgers—look elsewhere! 😆

This hotel is relatively quiet as it is not very large, so the perfect place for a relaxing holiday.

The staff is very welcoming and always ready for you. The reception is always staffed and there to answer questions or solve problems. So they made sure I got a topper on the mattress without any problems, because I initially thought the mattress was a bit hard.
An early (takeaway) breakfast was also provided on the departure day.

It is a short walk to the beach where you can also snorkel and dive. You can also make unlimited use of the aquapark. Both on the beach and at the aquapark are bars with drinks and some food.

Pool was heated now, and part of the aquapark too. Pillows are offered by the pool for the sunbeds.

In terms of food, there is always something tasty in the buffet restaurant and the food is always hot. You can also eat at the a la carte restaurants (Asian, Egyptian, Italian) especially the Asian restaurant Momo I thought had very good food and a very good service! Alaa (Pepsi) really delivers a very good service, thinks along and really tries his best to make it a good eating experience. Thank you, Alaa!

Wide selection of cocktails and mocktails at the bar. Waiters at the bar and at the pool keep a close eye on whether your drink is running low and come by in time to find out if you want anything else. Again very good service!

Had a very nice holiday!

We arrived late and did not get dinner :-(
The rooms are in need of renovation and should be better accepted.
We had a room in the souk (interior) of the hotel complex. The room had stained carpets, on the TV everywhere the paint is off, chipping at the corners, joints. The furniture on the terrace sometimes needs a general cleaning. You couldn't watch the TV stations because the picture kept distorting, and or the sound was gone. Watching the news wasn't really possible.
The siphon in the shower was not cleaned (many hair). The water in the sink did not drain (on the first day), even after the repair the building technician had to run again because it did not drain again. The events in the courtyard were quite noisy, sometimes even after 11:30 p.m., hammering was done and the dismantling of the show was pushed forward.

The food in the restaurant was a bit bland at first. But with increasing time yet very tasteful. very friendly staff in the service area and restaurant.

On the terrace / bar was made again and again own creations of cocktails. Were also delicious. Unfortunately, these always tasted different.

There is clearly no possibility to change in the pool area and a toilet.
Guests go to the restaurant's toilet partially with wet things. This also creates a risk of slipping for the other guests.

The staff were very sluggish and not always friendly at the beach bar.
There is also a lack of flexibility.

We had a wonderful holiday with our children aged 11 and 4. Small scale, even in high season not crowded or massive and that feels wonderful. The aqua park next to the hotel is fantastic! The beach a few minutes walk away where you can snorkel nicely from the pier, but also from the beach. The hotel has a lovely swimming pool where you can eat and drink all day. The staff does their best every day to give you a wonderful holiday. Our kids enjoyed the kids club and the fun dances every day and during the evening shows there was also something fun to see every night. The area also feels very safe, especially for the kids, because the area (you) only consists of hotels.
It was even nice to go back to your room to see what beautiful creation was made from the towels in combination with flowers.
Only downside what I can mention is that there was very poor WiFi connection and we found the beds very hard, but that is of course personal.
We certainly hope to return here again and definitely recommend this hotel!

On the positive side, compared to the other Jaz hotels in the Madinat, the hotel is more of a small hotel complex, so everything is within walking distance. The staff is mostly friendly, but you can sometimes put soles on the shoes of the waiters when serving. But that is also understandable when you consider that you have to work more than 13 hours a day at 38 degrees Celsius. Everything is very clean and makes a tidy impression. The food was consistently good, even if the selection may seem a bit poor at first glance. Unfortunately, it is almost too far to the beach in the heat and the beach is not suitable for swimming, but very nice for snorkeling. The sellers in the surrounding shops in the souk are annoying. Let the customers browse in peace, then they would much rather buy from you! The WiFi all around the complex is very bad and reminds me of bamboo flipflop wifi. Big point of criticism: the switched off air conditioning in the public areas such as reception, lobby, billiard table and of course in the restaurant. It's unbearably hot here!! Unfortunately, we were served different stories at the reception. Sometimes the air conditioning was defective, sometimes too weak or the hotel manager forbade turning it on. So you could only cool off in the room when the air conditioning was switched on. We booked a family room and it's actually just a slightly larger double room with a couch and an extra bed. Unfortunately, it gets too cramped for three people. And since our 15-year-old son pays the full price, he actually deserves his own room/double room for single use. Too bad, for the price I would have expected a little more!!

Response from Ashraf El Sayed, General Manager at Jaz Dar El Madina
Responded Aug 16, 2023
Hotel Management

The hotel is a smaller one embedded in other Jaz hotels. It is only 2 minutes from the beach at the back of the other Jaz hotels.

Right next to it is the slide park, which is great for families. The slide park is great. What is also good -> it opens from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is quiet in the evenings (we had a room facing that direction). There was only one party from all the hotels and it went on until 11 p.m. The party was also great :-) similar to the party on the beach
The bay is great, of course there is nothing around it. You can snorkel in the bay, which is great. Be sure to take one with you or rent one (be careful, full masks are much worse than conventional goggles with a snorkel). Due to the weather, visibility was not always so good for us, but that is not the hotel's fault.

The facilities of the other Jaz hotels can be used in part, except for the restaurants. We used the other fitness center and one or two sports animations
The rooms are very nice and the family room was great. Cleanliness good.
Service very good in all areas. In the restaurant, the head waiter sometimes seems a bit grumpy and disorganized.
Gastronomy very good,
There are 3 restaurants where you can go as a guest with a reservation, the Momo (Asian) was extremely good, Egyptian OK (too adapted for us), we didn't try Italian

Cocktails were good, the white wine and rose were also surprisingly good. There was fresh slush ice cream every day, but in the evenings there were also scoops of ice cream and ice cream sticks by the pool.

Pleasant entertainment, great evening shows that were really good quality.

We flew here last year based on a recommendation from friends and were really impressed. So we flew here again this year, this time a little later (October), and our opinion hasn't changed.

Cleanliness top: rooms very clean, pool area is constantly mopped, in the restaurant nothing is left on the floor for a minute before it is swept away immediately.

Food: the "own" restaurant has a very large selection. In the morning there are freshly made egg dishes just the way you like them and in the evening fresh pasta in the same place. There are also 3 a la carte restaurants that you can also visit (included in the

all inclusive).

Animation: the entertainment is really great. There is a lot on offer and the entertainers really give it their all.

Service: EVERYONE here is super friendly, attentive and does their best. From the reception, to the cleaning staff, housekeeping, service etc...

Last year and luckily again this year we had "our" waiter. Mohamad Amam. He was happy to see us again and so were we. He is just very, very attentive, remembers what you like to eat and drink and is always in a good mood. He works mainly at the beach bar and in the evenings in the shisha bar and show stage area. He is always in a good mood even if the night was short. And this wasn't just the case with us because he already knew us from last year, but we always saw that he was just as nice and attentive to other, new guests.
Overall, the 11 days were once again super nice but also over super quickly.

Our arrival at Jaz Dar El Madina yesterday had a minor hiccup, but as someone deeply familiar with customer focus and creating raving fans, I know that a complaint is an opportunity to turn things around and win customer loyalty. This resort truly seized that opportunity and exceeded our expectations.

The reception manager, Mr. Haitham Elmahdi, handled our issue with exceptional professionalism and care. His approach was nothing short of outstanding, resolving the situation promptly and leaving us feeling valued and appreciated.

This is our fifth visit to Jaz Dar El Madina, and for good reason. The resort consistently stands out for its unique charm, small-scale ambiance, and genuine commitment to guest satisfaction. Unlike larger resorts, there’s a personal touch here that’s hard to find elsewhere.

1. Outstanding Customer Service:
From the reception to the housekeeping staff, everyone goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is memorable. The team’s dedication to making guests feel at home is remarkable.

2. Exceptional Food
The culinary experience here is top-notch. Every meal is thoughtfully prepared, offering a variety of flavors that cater to different tastes. It’s rare to find a resort where the food consistently impresses, but Jaz Dar El Madina delivers every time.

3. Unbeatable Atmosphere:
The resort’s intimate and tranquil environment is perfect for relaxation. Whether you’re lounging by the pool, enjoying the lush gardens, or exploring the nearby beach, every corner exudes peace and beauty.

4. Consistency Across Visits:
Having stayed here multiple times, I can confidently say that the quality remains impeccable. This consistency is a testament to the management’s commitment to excellence.

Our general Conclusion:
Jaz Dar El Madina is a gem in Marsa Alam, offering a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and personalized service. Even when things don’t go perfectly, the team turns challenges into opportunities, ensuring guests leave with only positive memories.

We can’t wait to return for our sixth visit! Thank you to Mr. Haitham Elmahdi for solving our problem with care and professionalism and thanks to the entire team for once again making our stay unforgettable.

If you’re considering a stay in Marsa Alam, Jaz Dar El Madina should be at the top of your list. Highly recommended!
