Stayed here for 2 nights for a wedding. Rooms were really comfy! The highlight was the breakfast, nothing was too much trouble and the two ladies working the tables were lovely. Beautiful location and well stocked bar!

Large room, modern facilities and very comfortable. Welcoming and friendly staff. The location was perfect, close to the beach (golden sands) and within reach of lots of places of interest (St David's, Welsh Wildlife Centre and Pembroke Coastal Path).

I was in a party of 4 visiting the area, we booked the Golden Lion for three nights. Whoever is making the decisions at the Golden Lion should pat themselves on the back. This establishment was 5/5 in every way. Cleanliness, food, position to explore the area and last, but not least the staff. All top class. I cannot recommend it enough. Thank you for an excellent stay.

We were on holiday in the area and decided to try the Golden Lion for dinner one mid-week evening. As it was the week after Easter, we didn't book, expecting it to be quiet. We couldn't have been more wrong - it was virtually full! Fortunately, we got the last table and I'm glad we did. We enjoyed excellent food and service and next time we are in the Newport area, we will definitely book in advance!
