We were staying as guests for a wedding and we loved the whole experience. The bedrooms were uniquely furnished and spacious. There were amazing pictures on the walls and we loved how the beds were set in carved wooden frames. It really is a beautiful hotel. The breakfast was beautifully cooked and served and our grandchildren's requests for pancakes with... More

Booked the Yurt for a couple of nights for a friend's wedding. It was the only room available at the time, so I went with it. Best bedroom of the hotel as far as I'm concerned, and I seen a few. I've always contemplated Glamping but never gotten round to it, so this killed 2 birds with 1 stone for... More

Went there for a long week end and picked it because they accepted pets. The pictures on booking website actually don't do it justice. It's very quaint and beautifully done up in a rustic way. It's simple and not fussy. The room we stayed in was at the back by the garden. It felt like a little apartment. The restaurant... More

Spent one night here in early May before heading to St Davids. We were given a room in the mews building overlooking the garden which was comfortable and cosy, large well equipped bathroom and a sofa by the window to relax on. We had booked a package that included dinner and breakfast. Dinner was superb, with excellent wines and the... More

Having heard a lot about this my partner booked an overnight stay for us as we attended a wedding nearby. Although the exterior looks promising and the sign describing "understated luxury" we were underwhelmed by the entrance. The room is spacious but does seem to have had the focus on decoration being around statement pieces however this gets lost in... More

We had our wedding here over 2 wonderful days in April. We fell in love with Llys Meddyg as soon as we went to view it last year and knew it was the place for us to have our special day. The venue itself is beautiful - a charming old house with snug little rooms and a cosy cellar bar... More

We came to Llys Meddyg with high expectations of excellent food, luxury accommodation, and had decided to splash out on the experience. Newport is great - we know it well, and the central location, rustic character and general comfort of Llys Meddyg were spot on. Our room with Melin Tregwynt, reclaimed wood, a fridge, a proper bath and a private... More
