We had a lovely time at Relais Royal Tikehau. It's just a small way from the airport to the guesthouse by car and by boat. The guesthouse is managed by women. All of them are so talented in singing and playing musical instruments. The first thing you have to know is that this is not a hotel. They have restrictions...

Honestly. If you are looking for an incredible special place this is where you stay. If you are looking for 5 star, room service, being treated like beyonce, and being a travel snob - stay somewhere else, in fact don't come to Tikehau. lol. Tikehau is a small island in the middle of the pacific. Life for people who live...

We stayed here for 3 nights on our honeymoon. I liked the place, although it was far more basic that the hotel places we stayed on Moorea and Bora Bora. Given that the quality of hotels is lower on Tikehau than on other islands, I was ok with Relais Royal Tikehau, but was disappointed in the customer service and communication....

Ia orana Thank you for your report about your stay at Royal Tikehau. We are always happy to hear comments to make sure we can ameliorate our services. However regarding fews of your remarks may I precise first that WE ARE NOT A HOTEL but simply a "pension de famille" (family boarding) with limited budget . Yet all our furnitures...

We just returned from a 4 day stay in Tikehau and it was very hard to go back to reality even though we live in Tahiti. Tikehau is spectacular and our stay at the pension was very pleasant. The staff and the owners are very friendly and welcoming. the grounds are very clean and the bungalows comfortable and clean. They...

This was the first of four main stops of our honeymoon (we also visited Moorea, Taha'a, and Bora Bora). What a treat! Firstly, I have to admit I'm reluctant to review this piece of paradise lest it become too popular. Such a treat, so unspoilt! The hotel is on a motu (islet) a couple over from the main island (&...

This family pension is perfect just for relaxing and preparing the trip in Polynesia. The island is occupied only by the pension and its restaurant. But the food is good and the service very friendly. Forget the AC and the bed made every day, but you fell like at the end of the world, so, who cares?!

We stayed at Royal Tikehau 8 nights on our honeymoon. We stayed at Hoa Bungalow and liked it; the location was nice as we could see the fish all the time and it wasnt so windy. I am not sure though if the beach bungalow has less mosqitoes, as there are quite many in the evening. There is a good...

I enjoyed very much Relais Royal Tikehau. It is a true family pension. Good value for money. I enjoy it for the beauty of the site, and the whole little motu island. For the friendliness of the staff and owners. For the quiet and peaceful atmosphere. For the good swimming. For the simple yet efficient concept of a family pension...

First things first, no criticism here only notes so things can be improved, hopefully. Generalities : Tikehau, clearer water than Mataiva for divers, snorkeling or just swimming, Lots of sandy beaches which Rangiroa cruelly lacks. The hotel/pension : Comparing what you get for the same price else where, 2 or 3 things should and could be improved and it would...

The location can't be beat, and the overall price in comparison to the other options makes this a very viable option. I can't give 5 stars because there are some things that just really should be taken care of and would be inexpensive to do. We like to sit on the terrace, or on the beach, during the day and...
