Teremoana Full day tour, with sharks, rays and lunch. The tour, which included a trip around the entire island of Bora Bora, certainly delivered in showing us sharks, rays and other fish. The two guides were fun as well as very helpful in assisting us in our snorkeling and fish viewing. They also sang and played musical instruments for us. All in all, a delightful day. Highly recommended.

Amazing location, the bungalows are right next to the Matira point beach location in Bora Bora, one of the best beaches ! This is an excellent budget option to stay in Bora Bora. The surroundings are beautiful. I had absolutely no problem to book and I received a reply promptly. We had initially booked for the Summer of 2020 and had to postpone to 2021 because of Covid. I was given a voucher for the night I had paid in 2020 and used it for our stay this Summer. We had booked the 3 bedroom bungalow right near the water, "pilotis" but we had to move to a bedroom bungalow because the tide went up the second day and walking to the bungalow didn't seem safe. There was absolutely no problem - Nono's wife and employee offered the 3 bedroom with the shared kitchen for the 2 remaining nights. I highly recommend Chez Nono to stay at Bora Bora ! If you don't hire a car, a driver comes to pick you up and back to the airport for 2000 xpf. A great stay at a budget location with wonderful surroundings, and very kind hosts who make sure that everything goes smoothly during your stay ! We highly recommend Chez Nono !

I booked a bungalow through the web. I received a confirmation email saying: "Your reservation has been submitted to us and we'll contact you as quickly as possible to complete your booking". No one answered. So after two weeks, I asked for payment instruction and I was told the bungalow is occupied already. I was offered another one and got the payment and other details. I had to postpone the advance payment because of COVID-19 for several days. Then I sent one question before payment and was told this bungalow is also occupied. I have visited over 50 countries all over the world but I have never seen such an approach. Everywhere else is normal if someone has an unpaid reservation and a new candidate appears, they give the first one a date to pay, otherwise, they will allow the next one to book. And not that at the time of payment you will learn that the accommodation is no longer available. What if I paid in the meantime? Well, they'll get their money from somebody, it doesn't matter who it is. At the end we are happy to be accommodated elsewhere. We had to change our plans because of the coronavirus, and we would have lost money in Chez Nono anyway.

We went for our wedding-honeymoon to French Polynesia and were married in Bora Bora. As we are young students and we cannot afford the hotels in French Polynesia, we chose the more budget option of Chez Nono. It was a nice combination of a cheaper option while being still appropriate for our wedding. We stayed there for 4 days and these were amazing 4 days! The location of the bungalow cannot be better, it is right on the water on the Matira Beach. The bungalow is small, but it had all we needed. There was a small fridge and a kettle, so we had coffee in the morning on the deck outside the bungalow - amazing. The service was very good. Arrival to Chez Nono was also easy: when we arrived to Vaitape, there was a minibus waiting for people who were going to Matira. It was 500 XPF per person for the trip, and the same for the return to the airport. There is a small supermarket 5 min walk from there, which was very convenient. There were a few places nearby where bikes could be rented (We rented at the Maitai hotel and circled the island). The minus was that the wifi worked very slow in the bungalow but was better outside. It is important to note that the bungalow is very simple and in a much poorer condition than what you can get on any other island in French Polynesia for the same price. But, you have to remember it is after all Bora Bora, and Chez Nono is located in a perfect location. We also took the tour which they organise (Teremoana), and it was very good. We swam with the black tip sharks and sting rays, did a tour around the island, lunch on the motu and a snorkel stop not far away from the Matira Beach before returning. The Polynesian lunch was amazing! We did a few on other islands as well, but this was one of the best!

We stayed 3 days / 3 nights and were overall very satisfied with the location and accommodations. You can easily walk to the nearby Matira Magasin for your daily fresh baked baguette and restaurants such as the Fare Manuia are also just around the corner. The views right and swimming right out front were some of the best we experienced overall in French Polynesia and this is coming from a couple who has already visited Mo’orea, Huahine, Rangiroa, Raiatea and Tikehau. Our stay at Chez Nono exceeded all expectations.

I know Chez Nono offers hotel accommodations, and my wife and I are likely going to try them out next time we go. Matira beach is the most beautiful spot on the island, and to have an affordable place to stay right there... who cares if it's not a 5-star resort like the ones on the other side of the island! Couldn't find the tour listed on trip advisor, so I'm putting this on their hotel listing instead. The Nono tour was the best thing that happened to us on our honeymoon. Best snorkeling, best lunch, best views and overall best activity we did on our entire honeymoon. Our tour guide really rocked the Ukulele too btw. Most people probably wouldn't consider taking the same tour more than once... but when we return to Bora Bora, there is no doubt that we will be taking the Nono tour again.

Charming outdoor and covered restaurant on the northern part of Nosy Be. Wide choice of local dishes (the grilled praws, calamari, mangrove crab and zebu fillet were excellent) as was the wood - oven cooked pizza. Very friendly staff and management. Excellent value for money.

Great location and price. I stayed for 4 nights at the bungalow that we could say that it is a "half"overwater bungalow, since it is right on the beach. The lady that works there, Mimi, is very nice and funny. There are some restaurants and shops just a few minutes from the hotel. The beach is beautiful and you can get some beautiful sunset shots there. The only bad things: no wifi and no kitchen.

If you are thinking of not staying in hotels, this is your best bet as close as it gets! You have your own private beach - just down from Matira, it's wonderful. The bungalow is as close to "overwater bungalow" without actually being one. A very fun stay for us, very beautiful and nice. The host MiMi was amazing. The nicest lady ever, she made us feel so welcome. She was so polite. We would go back to just to see her!!
