I stayed at the Four Seasons the last time I was in Bora Bora five years ago so I did not quite know what to expect when I chose to stay Le Bora Bora. The Four Seasons is now above my budget so I booked at Le Bora Bora as it it was less expensive and seemed to have great views. I have to say that I was just as happy staying there I was at the Four Seasons. The re-furbished bungalows are awesome! I loved the glass insert that allowed me to look at the beautiful lagoon water as I brushed my teeth or shaved. I also loved the netting on the terrace that was a great place to relax in the sun and dry off after a plunge in the lagoon. The view of Mt. Otemanu was to die for. The staff was uniformly ultra friendly and accommodating. The bar makes the best Mai Tai I've had after staying in 5 hotels throughout the society islands, and the food was good. I would not hesitate to book there again. I don't even have any small quibbles about anything that could be improved. Thank you Le Bora Bora!…
I booked 3 days on the Island of Bora Bora. We went with the overwater bungalow as this was our last stop before heading home. The food was amazing at the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. There is a wait to get water or your initial drinks for some reason, but it was ok as we were never in a hurry to head anywhere. The bar had Happy Hour from 5 to 6pm. Ask for Nick, his drinks are awesome and strong! As far as house keeping goes it seems that whenever we went out for dinner they made it and refreshed our room. I love the glass throughout the room,I would always peeks and try and spot different species of fish. The highlight was a Manta! It always looked like we had just arrived. We pretty much snorkel all day and didn't even need our fins. The resort provided kayaks, paddle boards and snorkeling gear as a compliment. We did not use the pool, so I wouldn't be able to comment on it, besides the fact it always looked clean. Why use the pool when you have paradise to swim in :) We can't wait to return!…
I highly recommend the Le Bora Bora and wouldn't hesitate to stay again! The pros: the rooms were just remodeled and they feel fresh, new and clean. They're a great size and have features like the fish viewing windows, multi level deck and spacious bathroom. The GM greeted us upon arrival and was very helpful and accomodating and the check-in experience overall was superb. There are corals on property for an easy snorkel and the resort itself sits over a shallow lagoon which is great for a day of just floating around. Bar was a great hangout spot and we spent a lot of time there. While we didn't use the pool, it certainly looked nice. The hotel also had snorkel gear, kayaks and paddle boards all available and free to use. We had a great time paddling around the island one morning. The food was also all tasty. We took advantage of the concierge to book a day for us of snorkeling with corals, rays and sharks- a must do! The cons: the snorkel gear was in rough shape, I would recommend you bring your own. The service, while great on many occasions, was inconsistent at times. The bar could be pushing far more drinks if the staff were quicker to keep folks' drinks flowing- a win for guests and the hotel! We also ran into a few difficulties with dinner service as well. Nothing major, but there clearly were a few high performing employees, while others likely just need more coaching. If you've never done a trip like this before, I would also pack a floaty or two! A must have with the bungalow (#protip). Overall, the resort was beautiful and it will certainly be on our list of considerations when we return to French Polynesia.…
We stayed here over the Christmas holiday 2020. They are still finishing up renovating many of the over-the-water bungalows. We were the first to stay in ours. The resort is superb. Tastefully and thoughtfully designed. Stunning setting. Very well run and helpful staff. Excellent food. Relaxing environment. Taking all of the appropriate Covid-19 precautions. Couldn’t have asked for more.
Loved this place. Stayed in an over water bungalow with a view of the mountain. Great details inside and out. Pool is awesome. They have a cushy mat on the bottom of the pool so your feet stay nice and smooth. Was like stepping on air Beach was sweet... raked daily, Snow White sand lapping waves and that delicious blue/green water. Bar/beach staff (especially Peunui (spelling?)) were attentive and made tasty custom drinks They were doing some maintenance /construction while we were there but it was not disruptive Only suggestion is to change the lunch/dinner menu every 2-3 days. We stayed a Week and the never changing menu forced us to go to town for many meals. Also, while I think it may be a local staple, as a scuba diver, I don’t like to see reef fish (parrot, Napoleon, emperor) on the menu. …
