First Class Resort and location. Everything you might expect in Bora Bora, overwater rooms were exceptional experience. Many French travelers, with fewer than usual foreign travelers as a result of Covid 19 pandemic.

Hi all, Firstly i wish to advise that i wasn't able to stay at this property due to the current COVID 19 restrictions however placing this review based on the deposit the resort has failed to return to me. I booked though Agoda with the condition of free cancellation. The hotel charged my card 1 night stay $1480. When travel restrictions were put in place, i cancelled my booking which was within the free cancellation period. I have since contacted the resort multiple times and been advised that the refund will take up to 90 days to process. 90 days has now passed and I'm still tmyet to receive the refund and the resort are no longer responding to my emails. I have since lodged a card discute with AMEX. Just want to point out that Conrad Bora Bora were really helpful and refunded me within 5 days. Sofitel Bora Bora although wouldn't refund, did give me a resort voucher to use until December 2021. I expected better service from a large chain owned by Marriot and when i do come to Bora Bora later on this year, will certainly not be staying here. I understand the current environment and was patient giving them 90 days which is more than enough time to return my deposit however that 90 days has now past without the deposit being returned

Le Meridian This was our third stop on our trip across French Polynesia. This was the most expensive of the places we stayed and truly the most disappointing. If this was the only place we stayed at I would have said it was great, but compared to others if was a step down. To put this into perspective I would give Le Meridian a 8.5/10. Good but not spectacular. The good- The turtle sanctuary is a truly remarkable place. The work they do is so impressive. The food was the best of all of the places we stayed. We dined at two of the restaurants and had great meals at both. We really enjoyed feeding the fish during meals. They provided fish food for feeding. The ocean and the view were spectacular. Bora Bora was so pretty. We did the Shark/Stingray excursion 2x. It was the best excursion we have ever done in any country we have previously traveled. It was so unreal to be that close to the sharks. Don’t worry they don’t bite. This trip was booked thru the concierge office and was run by Le Meridian, not an outside company. The guides really made the trip. They were so full of personality. They played the ukulele and sang Polynesian songs. Hats off to Crazy, No No, and Tu Tu as they made the excursions special. The beach was really nice and provided a great place to soak up the sun. The staff were great and were really kind. The bad- While the room was really nice, the outside needs renovation badly. I don’t think there has been a coat of paint applied in years. The outside walls were chipped and broken and in need of attention. We had a small deck that was covered and really didn’t get any sun. The chairs on the deck did not recline which made it tough to lay out on the deck. The chairs were very dated and have not been replaced in many years. The deck is where we typically spend a lot of time and we were severely disappointed with this. The deck almost seemed like an afterthought. It seemed like they just did the minimum and did it poorly. The A/C, while it kept the room cooler it did not keep it cold. I was constantly trying to lower the temp in the room but it didn’t seem to help. It was warm at night when sleeping. At other places we stayed in French Polynesia they stocked the mini fridge with soda, water, beer, and juice for you. Here you get two bottles of water for the day and that’s it. It felt cheap. The staff don’t walk anywhere so there is a constant noise of golf carts going by your cabana all day. It was a small annoyance. If I was going to go back to French Polynesia I don’t think I would come back here. I would go back to Le Tahaa. Check that place out. It was cheaper and so much better. When I was researching what to bring to French Polynesia I had wished someone had made a good list to look at. So I made a list of things I thought could be helpful. Bring at least one E/F plug adaptor and a power-strip as there is only one or two outlets in the room. We stopped and got our liquor in the LAX Airport Duty Free Shop. It is really your last opportunity to buy liquor at a reasonable price. They allow you to bring 2 bottles of liquor on the plane per person as long as it is in their duty free bags. We brought Crystal Light and made vodka lemonades all day. The resort charges about $25 a drink so this saved a lot of money. We brought snacks as we found we really only ate bf and dinner. We brought our own insulated mugs/cups. We brought floats and a 25 ft thin rope. We tied the rope to our deck ladder, held the end, and floated all day. It was wonderful. We brought a bluetooth speaker and had music when we were floating. We brought a waterproof phone protector and we were able to take great underwater fish pics at the coral gardens on the property. We purchased the trip thru Costco and had BF and Dinner included. Great deal. Have a great trip and don’t be afraid to island hop.

Upon arrival in the airport our hotel staff loaded our luggage into the hotels boat shuttle. Everything went smoothly. Comfortable boat and a beautiful ride to the hotel. The check in process was a bit cumbersome. The bungalows were great and the hotel was enjoyable. The only issue was when they offered a buffet, although a wide variety, the hot food didn’t stay hot. It was room temp at best. The cold items were warm. They need a better system to keep items at proper temperature. The plated meals were served just fine and the temperature was great. Upon check out, they do not offer late checkouts and they have limited space for you to store your valuables.

We visited Bora Bora and stayed at this hotel for my 60th Birthday celebration in an over the water bungalow. It was the BEST vacation experience my husband and I have ever had! The entire staff was absolutely amazing. Professional, kind, courteous and went out of their way to make our time in Tahiti memorable. They met us at the boat dock, walked us to the reception area, and we were checked in and given a tour of the property. The food was amazing, housekeeping came 2x/day and the concierge helped us plan our week of activities! Thank you Le Meridian Bora Bora for a week I will never forget! This vacation is going to be hard to beat!

This was my least favorite resort in Bora Bora. The overwater bungalow was so small compared to other resorts, the deck was sorta non existent. I thought the layout in the room was not great at all. I didn't get that luxury feel all the other resorts gave me. This may be minor, but the all toiletries were weird scents IMO (cilantro, peppermint, sage, etc.) Pros: - The beautiful restaurant right by the lagoon where you can eat and feed the fish. - the massive glass panel in the room - turtle center - I liked how they have anchored down floats at the beach.

We stayed at this hotel in an over-water bungalow, it was amazing. The entire staff were great. Housekeeping came twice a day to make sure our room was comfortable during the day and at night. The concierge and front desk were courteous and helpful. It is not inexpensive, but for me, it was worth the once in a lifetime experience. Swimming with the sea turtles was amazing, as well as our snorkeling and scuba excursions.
