We cannot say enough good things about this resort. When we first arrived by boat from the airport, we were greeted with music and very friendly staff. SAFI was wonderful greeting us and she saw us regularly to make sure our vacation was going well. Each morning we were welcomed to breakfast by MANINI and our outstanding server VAEA and her assistant VICTORINE. Our Bungalow was fantastic with a view of the water beneath our room and we truly enjoyed the deck for our morning coffee and evening relaxation. Everything at this resort is First Class and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for that special place for their special occasion. THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF AT LE MERIDIEN!!!

My husband, son and I stayed here for 6 days at the beginning of February. We came to celebrate my 50th birthday and I am SO happy that we chose Le Meridien Bora Bora, it was everything I had dreamed it would be and more! The resort is really beautiful, it's in a fantastic location and I believe it is one of the only resorts to have its own lagoon in addition to beach front. The turtle centre that is located on the property was fantastic, we fed the turtles and did a swim with a couple of them too which was so much fun. As part of the experience we also helped the marine biologist Erika weigh each of the baby turtles (about 30 of them) which was one of the highlights. Her and the turtle centre manager Teiva (not sure of the spelling) were very generous with their time and chatted with us for ages about the centre and what they do. The staff couldn't have been lovelier, so friendly, they treat you like royalty. One of the resort staff named Lavesh knew we were there to celebrate my 50th birthday so he surprised me with a cake and lovely birthday message in our bungalow, it was so thoughtful and sweet. We stayed in an overwater bungalow which we loved, it is so worth paying the extra money to have that experience. For our entire stay we never felt like there were a lot of people at the resort, even though there could have been. At dinner the staff are conscious to seat you away from other diners when possible so you have privacy. We did an all inclusive meal package that included all alcohol so it was a very stress free way of holidaying, we didn't have to worry about what it was all costing, we just ate and drank to our hearts content. The majority of the food was really good. I found the buffet breakfasts were ok, the restaurant that holds the breakfasts each day though is beautiful with tables overlooking the lagoon. The lunches and dinners were fantastic, really loved the food for these meals. The cocktail called Bora Bora became our favourite, we had one every chance we got, highly recommend (white rum, coconut cream, pineapple juice, banana juice and blue curaçao). I could honestly go on and on about what a wonderful holiday experience we had here, I would return to this resort in a heartbeat. I really hope to make it back there one day as we had the holiday of a lifetime!

This was a bucket list destination for us from Canada and the Le Meridien exceeded our expectations. The Otemanu view, glass floor overwater bungalow was absolutely exceptional. The view was breathtaking as was the room itself...total comfort and surprisingly large with a beautiful deck. The only note I would have is that you are required to buy and food plan to only eat at the resort. The food and presentation was fabulous though. We normally love to explore other places so that made it hard. Also I think it is just awful to have to pay for water transporation to and from the hotel to/from the airport as well as any time you want to to onto the main island. Left a negative taste for us. The welcome to the hotel is really special........really well done. The beach is gorgeous, the staff wonderful, the Turtle program is interactive and so interesting, the retail shop small but lovely, the concierge exceptional and the bars and restaraunts are beautiful. The front desk were always informed and great to deal with. Lots of lovely touches everywhere. It is pretty much perfection !

Beautiful location, good food and very friendly staff. You’d better be ready to spend some money if you want to enjoy the experience, but once the wallet is pried open, it’s a wonderful place to relax, eat, snorkel and do other activities on the island. To give you an idea of what things cost, a cheeseburger is US$33. But it’s pretty nice. Turtle centre is great to visit. 10.30am is feeding time bc. Lounging on the beach is wonderful. Snorkelling equipment and fins are free. Lots of paid activities are around US$220 per person. Getting to the main island and back onto the Le Meridien is also expensive (like US$200+). Transfers to the neighbouring St Regis resort are affordable at US$40 return - nice to check out a slightly more upmarket resort and use their facilities. The staff are really friendly and they go out of their way to please you. They all speak good English but you’ll have an even better experience if you can speak a little French. Tips are shared amongst the staff. All five days of our trip had beautiful weather every day - even though the weather report said 100% chance of rain! That just meant a short shower for a welcome cool down every afternoon! Over the water bungalows are lovely. Standard bungalows don’t get a view of the iconic Bora Bora mountain. Nice if you’re keen to pay for the view. Best to enjoy the walk between the bungalows and the resort - no need to rush anywhere.

I don’t know where to start. It’s a beautiful property and the staff is amazing. Over water bungalow 329 has an awesome view of the mountain. My suggestion is 329, 327 and 325 for the best views. I’ve read reviews on here about so-so food. Remember this is “French” Polynesia. Europeans have a different taste pallet than Americans. Not worse just different. That being said we never couldn’t find something we liked to eat. Keep an open mind. We had the all-inclusive package so if there was something we didn’t like we tried something else. Now here’s something that blew my mind. We’ve been on numerous cruises and all-inclusive’s in the Caribbean. Here you don’t have to get up at 0 dark thirty to get a beach or pool chair. You won’t find flip flops, books or towels saving chairs here. It was very refreshing. I read several things about bug spray. My wife wore it every night, I stopped about half way through and never had a bite and this is the rainy season. Speaking of rainy season. Don’t be afraid to go now. Our first day was great. Second and third mostly cloudy but, we still had some sun. About the sun, this is the most intense sun we’ve ever been in. It doesn’t take long to get burned. Usually we start out with 15 and bump up to 30 middle week. We had 30 on half way through the first afternoon. I also have read some reviews about maintenance issues. Our bungalow was great. There are some areas that need some touch ups but, unless you’re looking to complain about something you really don’t notice it. In perspective it is 19 degrees at home who cares about a little paint peeling. We went to Bloody Mary’s one day which I will review, we did the shark and ray swim and swam with the turtles at the resort. Recommend them all. Special thank to Crazy and Aquaman for the great shark and stingray tour. I have some suggestions for the Tahiti airport. If you’re interested contact me and I’ll give you my opinion. Now for the shout outs for exceptional service; Valerie Cape at check in. Thanks for always making sure we were having a great time. The bar crew; Noeline Moesta Mani a Donata Mailani Naoline Bruno You all were awesome, thank you!
