Le Meridien is not the fanciest resort in Bora Bora, but the staff definitely treats you as if it were. This trip was something I'd dreamed of for many years, and our magical week in overwater bungalow 334 exceeded my expectations. The room was wonderful - a big glass floor,

This resort is simply perfect. I’m there right now and I wouldn’t change a thing. The breakfast is ridiculous good. Must try the French toast. The staff.. amazing.. the view honestly better in person than the pics. Anyone who complains is the same person who thinks boiling

Stayed here for 5 days and can easily say it was most beautiful place I’ve ever been. The water and the landscape is sensational. The staff was super friendly, accommodating, and helpful. A few tips - pack rafts and rope, more sunscreen than you think you will need, plastic

The St Regis is just next door to the Le Meridien and a higher end property and costs considerably more. The location of Le Meridien is perfect and has a better view. I have seen the St Regis but not stayed there with the fit out of the St Regis being newer and the rooms are bigger than the Le Meridien. Can't comment on the Conrad but we loved the Le Meridien and thought that for Bora Bora it was good value. The St Regis looks wonderful but will be at least twice the price.

Ia Orana AnikaW500, Located at the beginning of the pontoon, this exquisite bungalow with no direct access to the water offers great views over the main island of Bora Bora and the lagoon. Those overwater bungalows are the closest to the facilities. Do not hesitate to contact us for any further information. Mauruuru!

No hammocks in the overwater bungalows. They have hammocks for the villas on the lagoon.

They have "floaties" in their swimming pools but not sure if you are allowed to borrow or take them to your bungalow. As for the string, if they have it, I would believe they would provide you some.

This is tricky answer because there is no real running path, but the short answer is you can run a couple miles around the OWB decks. It is quite a walk, so you could certainly carve a mile or two between the 2 long decks. If you go to the ocean side and run up and down, you might get you another mile. This resort is not a runners dream, but you could certainly get a few miles with effort and add some steps without backtracking. I will say, this was our favorite resort and we stayed here and St Regis (each for a week).

"Room 242 is an overwater end of pontoon bungalow. Larger balcony, privacy since it's at the end of the pontoon and the best view"
"We ended up staying in room 339. It had adequate AC but not the best view."
"If you can get an end bungalow, do it, since at most of them your view is a lot of other decks."
"Ask for mountain view!"
