The Denali Fireside is a new facility in Talkeetna offering suites or cabins that comfortably accommodate up to 4 people. Features include pillow top king and queen beds, kitchenettes (mini-fridge, microwave, coffee brewer, separate bar sink ample counter space) real gas fireplaces, satellite HDTVs, wireless internet and private covered decks with log gliders. The structures are log/frame and the interiors are decorated in Alaskana decor, including cozy hand sewn quilts. New for 2010 - Our "Little Cabin in the Woods" located on 5 acres beside a small spring-fed pond, 3 miles from our lodge in Talkeetna.

We had a wonderful stay at Denali Fireside Cabins. The host/owner Don is on site. Don was a pleasure to work with setting up our reservation. Upon our arrival Don was very hospitable and shared his expertise and knowledge regarding the area and some exceptional food establishments. Our cabin was spacious and immaculately clean. The bed was so comfortable, definitely a plus. We plan on returning to Alaska and will stay here again!

We spent one night in their family cabin. The cabin was spacious, very clean and in excellent condition. The gas fireplace made it cozy and warm. The location was great, as we were able to walk into downtown Talkeetna for a drink at Denali Brewing. Would definitely recommend. Note: The train passes by the cabin during the night and can be loud.

We wish that we could have stayed longer at this (what seemed to us) luxurious Alaskan cabin. From the hardwood floors to the gas fireplace, log siding, bear rug, Alaskan pictures/artwork, etc., it all combined to give the feel of a true Alaskan cabin experience. Don, our host, was a "59er" (a pioneer who lived in a homestead 5 miles off the beaten path). We could have listened to his Alaskan stories for hours.

A very well done cabin; near mint condition and extremely clean. Located in a good spot; between the railroad station and downtown. The hosts were very accommodating with our stay and transportation needs. Highly recommended.

Only stayed one night at Denali Fireside Cabins & Suites, but wish it had been longer. Our family of 4 rented a suite and it was a darling cabin, spacious and clean. It's in a perfect location - walking distance to downtown Talkeetna, but far enough that you don't hear the downtown activity at night. Absolutely wonderful. Look forward to going back one day.

We arranged for Don to pick up up at the train station so we called him after we gathered our luggage. He arrived in a vintage station wagon and gave us a quick tour of the town before going to the individual or duplex log cabins. Each was cozy and very comfortable. He was very hospitable and helpful. I was glad the out-of-the-way place the railroad used was full. It was within walking distance to most places we wanted to go and the day tours picked us up and dropped us off because it was on the main road. I would definitely return or recommend this place.

What a pleasant surprise this place was! The Unit was immaculate, well appointed and very comfortable. The location was very convenient to town and the many shopping and food options. Our travel agent Alaska travel found us a gem! The bonus was we could see mount Denali from the parking lot!

These adorable cabins were super comfortable for our family of 4. Don is a great host and really seemed to care that we were comfortable & enjoyed the town! The rooms were clean & spacious, you can tell the owners work hard to ensure your stay is awesome.

Wonderful cabins walking distance to the village. Don was a wonderful host. Our cabin had 2 queen beds and was immaculate. Nice gas fireplace but we did not use it. We decided to go back for a second night after our trip to Denali. Talkeetna is a tiny little village but is charming. We are senior citizens so can’t comment on the nightlife as we pack it in early. There’s a restaurant next door that has seafood $$. Also a brewery pub in the village.

Great cabin. Convenient to downtown (about a 5 minute walk). Very clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Staff was great. 1 train passes about 11 PM, and the cabin sits right on the tracks. It will wake you up if you are asleep, but other than that, it is very quiet. The staff gave us a heads up on the train when we checked in, so it didn't catch us by surprise. The outside of our cabin was not complete yet, but it didn't affect our stay. The inside seemed brand new. Bench on the front porch was a great place to sit outside and relax.

Thank you tnvol193 for your nice review. We enjoyed having you as our guest! We haven’t finished the live edge wainscoting on the upper half of the structure due to the Covid problems and getting the materials but it is in our plans in the near future if things turn around. The train does come through the center of town northbound at about 11 pm and its the last train until the next morning. The lodges that are in town all have the train noise problem but doesn’t bother most of our guests.
