We stayed in the Birch cabin and our hosts went above and beyond to make us feel relaxed and comfortable. This location is nearby a floatplane tour and hiking trails around clear lakes and lush forests. It is also close to a Birch syrup tour and a delicious family owned Thai restaurant. The water in the shower was hot and comfortable. I loved the interior design and the birch paintings were a nice touch. The cabin location was clear and labeled with our names with plenty of space for parking. Our hosts provided delicious banana bread and drinks. Thank you so much! See you again soon.

Stayed for our annual xc ski trip to Talkeetna to celebrate my birthday. This cabin was easy to find, well appointed, charming and just what we needed. Allowed our dog (pro tip: Bring an old sheet from home to throw on the bed or futon so your dog doesn't leave her fur everywhere. :-)) But we <3 places that allow dogs! Everything was great, and we'd stay again for sure. Close to trailheads, town, etc.

We stayed in the Denali suite, and were impressed with the cleanliness of our room, as well as the overall appearance of the property. The fresh banana bread was delicious, and the hosts were friendly, and even went so far as to return a pair of pants I accidentally left in the room. I offered to reimburse her for the shipping costs, but she kindly refused.
We hope to return again, when we come back to beautiful Alaska.

After booking this hotel I realized it was too far to walk to the bus and train depot. On the same day (over a month in advance of date) I tried to cancel and was informed the cancellation fee was 50% of cost. This is ridiculous. I then called the business twice and no one picked up or called back.

We stayed in the Willow Cabin for 5 nights with our two teenage grandsons during our Talkeetna visit. The cabin was very clean and the full kitchen came in handy with two hungry teens. The owner, Twila, was very prompt and eager in meeting our requests (a couple baking pans) and even had homemade banana bread, coffees, teas and hot cocoa in the kitchen for our enjoyment. The front porch is great for morning coffee but unfortunately the mosquitos are around at all hours of the day and limited those moments. If possible, screening that in would make it perfect! Even with that, I would highly recommend a cabin at Talkeetna Chalet.

Location quiet and wooded but located only a few miles from Talkeetna. The cabin was one room, with a kitchenette, and a bathroom. There is a porch with a table and chairs, with an overhang to protect from rain. Comfortably furnished and spotlessly clean. We were able to check in and out without having to talk to anyone, which was nice due to Covid concerns. Had TV, cable, WiFi, fridge, and microwave. Pet friendly. The only caution I would add is that there are three steps, of uneven heights, to get into the cabin; there is no handrail. If you have any mobility issues it could be a problem. My wife uses a cane and has a leg brace and she made it up but I had to steady her. It was doable but difficult. A handrail would have made it no problem. Despite that, we would stay here again. Reasonably priced for this part of Alaska. Home baked cookies were provided, for a nice touch.

We made a last-minute reservation for one night over memorial day weekend and could not have been happier. The cabin was immaculate. It was nicely furnished with all of the amenities you could think of. The location was excellent; only several miles from the town and airport but set in a quiet wooded area.

Our favorite stay on our two week Alaska tour. We loved the Spruce cabin, beautiful and clean. Comfy bed and the kitchenette was well stocked. Twila even gave us a mini loaf of homemade banana bread. We enjoyed sitting on our private front porch. We wish we had more than one night!

My wife and I are traveling to multiple places in Alaska and we stubbled across Talkeetna. We stayed in the Birch cabin. We were pleasantly surprised at how clean and well equipped the private cabin was. My wife especially loved the fluffy pillows, comfortable bed, and towels. The area was very peaceful and only minutes from the quaint town. If traveling back thru the area, we will definitely stay again. We highly recommend it.

We stayed in The Spruce Cabin during our anniversary trip to AK. The cabin was private, yet close to restaurants and downtown Talkeetna. It was cozy, comfy (loved the towel warmer!) and very clean. The kitchenette had all the basics. We plan to bring our kids/grandkids next time and rent all three Chalet cabins.

Best way to get to the Chalet is by taxi. Easy for them to find. The chalet will also give you directions should you rent a car.

The owner will pick up you. In fact, they drove to / from town and back to the train station the next day. It is the BEST B&B I have been to!!!
