New owners Bill and Jodi make you feel welcome in a log cabin in downtown Talkeetna. Don’t t worry easterners, these cabins have heat, electricity and Dish network Each cabin has a full bath, kitchen and clean comfortable beds Not exactly roughing it but certainly a different and fun experience from the Ritz Carlton This was our fourth visit and planning to return next year
Talkeetna Cabins were a fantastic getaway from the city. Nice quaint cabins with all the amenities you could need. Very short walk to Denali Brewpub and a pizzeria. If I ever make it back up to Talkeetna I will be staying here again! Thank you to Bill for make my stay comfortable and enjoyable.
We rolled into town late one night and thankfully Bill was able to accommodate us in these lovely cabins. Very well appointed, CLEAN and incredible location. He was a pleasure to work-with and even has a laundry on site. Most importantly he truly enjoys passing along the local information to enhance your trip. My personal favorite was his sweet pup Garrett!
Great place to stay, Bill went out of his way to take care of us and make us feel welcome. He even took us to a viewing area to see Denali. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The next time I get to Talkeetna I will stay here. Thanks Bill
I took the Wilderness Express from Denali to Talkeetna for a 1 day excursion. The Talkeetna Cabins were recommended by a travel agent in Denali. I called and made a reservation before hand, which is a must! When I exited the train Bill, the owner, was there to pick me up. We were less than a mile from the property and on the way we went down the ‘main drag’. Bill pointed out points of interest plus made recommendations on places to go, things to do, and places to eat. As we proceeded to the cabins, I couldn’t help but think Talkeetna reminded me of another time and place somewhere in history. When you pull up to the property you will be in for a pleasant surprise. The log cabins are new, and the grass in front is like that of a well manicured golf course. Inside you find a spotless and well decorated cabin with all the amenities of home. I got situated and then walked about 200ft to the ‘main drag’, where there is just about anything to eat, drink, or do. You are also within 2 blocks of the 3 rivers. After checking out most of the shops I decided I wanted pizza, so I settled into the Mountain High Pizza Pie. After a few beers and pizza I remembered the place and era that Talkeetna reminded me of. WOODSTOCK!!!!! I was never there, but saw the movie. Thanks Bill n Jodi. movie and talked to people that were there. The next day Bill drove me back to the train depot where I once again boarded the Wilderness Express for another memorable ride back to Denali. Thanks Bill and Jodi.…
