Yes beautiful outside appearance and beautiful view, but does no one care about cleanliness? Our room was far from clean! All furniture was dusty, there was a 2" wide band of dust on the carpet all around the room - even worse at the head boards and night stand....AND our tub was filthy! At first, i thought they had hard... More

We were traveling by train with another couple. We had booked a flyover and jet boat for the afternoon. Unfortunately, it was rainy and foggy. We checked in and were given rooms on the first floor. We were near the laundry facility and used the washer/dryer to do our laundry. It was a nice perk and the facility was neat... More

The hotel is much better than your average lodge and located on beautiful grounds. Service in the dining room could have been better but the patio offered wonderful views of Mt. Denali. Many outdoor activities including flights to Denali are available from the hotel. Unlike Denali national park where you get only limited views, the lodge offers spectacular views of... More

This is a beautiful lodge. Check out their website to see if they are offering any special deals because it appears you will not be offered them on the phone when you call. We arrived on the final night before the lodge closed for the season. My friend booked us twovery nice expensive rooms on a phone call to lodge’s... More

This is a very nice hotel with an excellent restaurant in a quaint little town. It is the last stop for climbers heading to Mt. Denali (used to be Mt. McKinley), a stop on the Alaskan railway and the town which served as the baseline for the TV show 'Northern Exposure'. A great little town of a couple thousand 'real... More

This is a huge log/ timber lodge with the most impressive view, a huge stone fireplace, and a beautiful property. There are paved and unpaved trails, beautiful grass and flowers, and the rooms are big. There are two restaurants on site. We had a bad fish and chips experience at the Bistro, but enjoyed our meal at the Foraker- the... More

The Lodge was beautiful, very picturesque. Provided for great views in all directions. Room was very comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant which was very good. When we checked out, we were able to leave our luggage there for delivery to the train station while we went on a tour, which was very convenient. However, when I arrived at... More

Given the fact that this town is quite small (if memory serves, the population is about 750), this Lodge is impressive. I would've expected some small, barely noticeable place, but it's big, with very nice, comfortable rooms and great views. You need a hotel shuttle to go into town, which takes about five minutes. There's a nice museum there, small... More

This is one of the best spots to view the Denali range - right from your hotel window or on the fantastic patio. While we were there the skies were completely clear - sunrise on the mountains was superb. Beautiful grounds ,Comfy rooms , great service. I would return

Wonderful place to stay and within walking or driving distance to town of Talkeetna. The food is wonderful and staff very accommodating. The gift shop had a great variety of gifts- we visited 3 times in two days. Sitting in rocking chairs having our morning coffee and looking out toward Denali is do relaxing.
