Let me start by saying that the grounds of this resort are amazing. The people are very friendly and I found the food the be good. I was there on a dive trip twice and have no complaints about the resort. I was there diving and will tell you that at the time they did not have "nitrox" available and... More

I will start with the diving as most people visiting Chuuk/Truk will be here for the diving, although beautiful there really is little else to do here. Getting around is a nightmare as the roads are so damaged that although the distance from the airport to the Blue Lagoon is only a few miles it takes a long bumpy mini... More

The resort is built from the building the Japanese had during WWII. They have done a great job making it into a resort. Almost all the rooms have lagoon view. The rooms were very spacious and clean. There is AC in the rooms but in the evenings no need because of nice breeze blowing off lagoon. All through the resort... More

I have stayed at the blue lagoon resort twice now and I'm going again next summer 2017. The island is remote, I mean remote, don't complain about the crinkle cut chips you are on a remote isolated island. You have Aircon, and a good choice of food which is fine. It's not a top restaurant but is great and the... More

This resort purports to be five star , well maybe according to this very backward island. The trip to the resort from the airport is an adventure in itself, the road is so full of holes that progress at more than 5 mph is impossible . The politics of this island is so corrupt but let's not get into that.... More

A difficult review to write as there are contrasting aspects to the Blue Lagoon. I was there for 11 nights and did 8 days diving. This is a review of the Blue Lagoon Resort, not Chuuk. I knew before I went that it was a very poor island and that it was dangerous to venture out of the resort. This... More

Having visited for the first time two years ago it was inevitable that we had to return. We only stayed 4 days this time before flying onto Palau to make it a two center trip. This is without doubt one of the best sites in the world for wrecks that have not been ravaged by gales and currents. The viz... More

As soon as I had claimed my bags at the airport, a man walked up to me and asked, “Are you Jeff?” When I said I was, he welcomed me to Truk Lagoon and told me the van was right outside. I was to see that his friendly, energetic and helpful interaction were hallmarks of everyone at Blue Lagoon Dive... More

There is no dispute over the quality and nature of the diving on offer in the Lagoon. This is not a review of that, nor is it a review of the live board boats that facilitate it. This is a review of the Blue Lagoon Resort, a hotel which we were obliged to take day rooms at having been offloaded... More

We have been diving on the Odyssey for 1 week and must say that it was the best wreck diving in the world, we were dropped off on Sunday to get a day room for 3 people and we were charged a ridiculous $200 and we did not even have an overnight stay, the room was tired and dated no... More
