Go there early, don't be late otherwise getting the key is difficult, especially when you give your contact details way in advance. The views are from the balcony and not from the room itself. It does have a sauna and laundry facilities.

Although this motel is quite basic it had everything we needed for our one night stay. We had an upstairs room with a magnificent view of Mt Ruapehu where we relaxed on the balcony having a quiet drink soaking in the view. It was a short stroll to the restaurant area and there were quite a few to choose from.... More

Booked this over the phone on the Friday morning for one night stay on Saturday night. Was advised that although they have a 2 night minimum day policy that as it was late notice that they could accommodate our family of four. We then cancelled other accommodation that we had tentatively booked and arranged the rest of the trip including... More

Pleasant stay, nice and quiet. The rooms are basic but very clean and comfortable. After a day on the mountain we loved a soak in the hot tub. The hotel is located about five minutes walk to the town centre. Reception was very welcoming and friendly. They went out of their way to accommodate our needs. I would definetely stay... More

This is a very basic motel, nothing extra is supplied in the rooms, no soap for the hand basin, no extra blankets or pillows and we could have done with them with a -5 degree frost! The room was clean. The very inefficient heater was also a pain as it was on a timer. We went out for dinner expecting... More

This was a great, no fuss hotel to stay at. It is small, tidy and clean. It has everything you need, no more than that. Very quiet so we slept well. Beds would not suitable for heavy people I must say. It is perfect if you are just staying a long weekend and are going to be out and about... More

My partner and i were quite disappointed in the stay we had at Alpine Motel, Firstly we arrived at 8-30 pm to find the receptionist showing us a map of where our room was and told us our key would be inside as we enter, We have never been to ohakune before so it made things alittle hard on dusk... We stayed here in September 2014 (2 adults, 2 children) in Unit 8 which is described as "2 bedroom deluxe". Yes, the motel has views, but no, the room is not "deluxe". The major issues that we found is that the room was small for five people (we were only four) and was not adequately heated. The room only has... More

We were away on a lads trip away. The Accommodation was nice, clean and comfortable. We didn't spend a lot of time here but definitely served its purpose as a place to stay and play for a group of lads. Bed, hot showers and clean towels... All we needed. We had four rooms and each room was a little different... More
