First time in Turkey and this holiday exceeded our expectations. We had a large duplex apartment just along the road from the main hotel which we were pleased with as some of the standard hotel rooms are small. Gardens and pool areas are just beautiful. Very green with mature sub tropical plants and trees. The main building gardens lead to the edge of the river so you can sit and watch the boats go by to 'turtle beach'. The hotel is about 30 years old, built in low rise traditional style with much wood carving. Apartment interior could do with a refurb now but it was clean and comfortable. Staff were so friendly.
The location is south of the main town, about a 12 minute stroll past cafes and restaurants by the river. Next door is the Dalyan Live Hotel which offers great Turkish Bath facilities and massages.
Dalyan was a hoot. Over 120 eating choices (our favourite was the Alegria Brasserie owned by the same family as the Yummy Cafe in the town centre.) Lots of shops selling mostly fake designer items and great fun bargaining. Liked the weekly market.
What was unexpected was just how cheap things are. Apparently Brits were getting 6 TR to the pound last year and we were getting 18 TR last month!!
All in all, a great break. Possibly too hot in July and August though.

Our first time at the Asur and after a previous review this month we were so nervous! We really shouldn't have been as the hotel is paradise.
We stayed in a hotel room which was lovely, feeling you're staying in an authentic Turkish room, so clean and it is cleaned and towels etc refreshed every day.
The staff are amazing, nothing is too much and they are so very friendly, you feel at home immediately.
At breakfast you are looked after so very well, the staff again so helpful and friendly. So much choice English or Mediterranean, omelette, scrambled eggs or fried eggs would be freshly for you .
Lovely pool and pool area, cleaned by a team every morning.
The grounds are just beautiful as you walk around and the garden area by the river with the jetty was our favourite place, with hammocks in the shade. We would sit on the jetty watching the wildlife and were amazed to frequently watch the loggerhead and Nile turtles swim by or pop up for air, even swimming right along the front of the jetty.
In the evening after our meal we would attend the bar by the pool where Mustafa would keep us all entertained all evening and we would all be crying with laughter.
Can not wait to return, we LOVED it!!

We loved our stay at these apartments and would go back at the drop of a hat if we got chance. The location is great if you are happy to wander the 10 minutes into the centre of Dalyan to get to the main area of shops and bars. The hotel has its own private jetty on the river which is great for getting to the beach as reception will organise the water taxi to pick you up from here and then you can asked to be dropped back to the jetty on your return.

The apartment pool doesn’t have a pool bar which meant that it was lovely and quiet and there were always plenty of sun loungers and parasols to relax under. The hotel which is about 100m down the road has a pool with a pool bar, which you are also able to use, if you prefer things to be a bit more lively.

The grounds of both the apartments and hotel are beautiful. The furniture at the jetty could do with a bit of a tidy up but I still loved to lay in a hammock and watch the water taxis sailing up and down the river in the afternoon.

It was great value for money and if you’re looking for a more traditional, family run hotel/apartment then the Asur is perfect.

Just returned from 2 weeks here and what a wonderful hotel this is. Everyone is so friendly and helpful right from the lovely ladies on reception to the breakfast staff to the lads who ran the pool bar.

Rooms are more than comfortable and we're kept immaculate by the housekeeping staff (always smiling). The only slight drawback was that the bed was a little hard but that's a personal choice and it certainly didn't detract from the holiday.

Breakfast was varied and plentiful and the "egg station" was a hit.

The hotel grounds are immaculate with a stroll down to the river through the garden highly recommended. Location wise, it is about a 5 minute walk to the nearest restaurant (once you get your bearings) and a 15 minute walk to the centre of town. For the less mobile, taxis have a flat rate of 50TL (£2.50) to take you into town, just ask reception and the taxi will be waiting within minutes.

Could not recommend this hotel highly enough and the fact that they have so many returning guests year after year says it all.

Fantastic apartments set in beautiful gardens located only a short walk from the town centre. We stayed in the apartments which were basic, but had everything we needed to cook lunches and a few dinners. Beds were comfy and the cleaners cleaned daily and were always extremely friendly. The kids thoroughly enjoyed going back to the room after they visited to find out what they had done to their teddies and blankets.

The apartments, although fully booked when we visited, we’re so quiet and we often found we had the pool to ourselves. The area was clean and there were plenty of beds - not that we ever had to fight people for them.

The hotel, located approximately 100m down the road, where you could also visit to use the facilities, was also great. They had a spot right on the riverside which was great to sit by and watch the world go by. Also managed to spot a few turtles surfacing for air early in the morning. River taxis could be caught from there to the beach for 150tl return, and a boat trip we took out to see also picked us up from there to save us a walk to town.

Mirna, the manager, was extremely helpful and always took the time to chat when we saw her. She was very accommodating and was great with the kids. Some of the other staff had limited English, but were always willing to help and either called Mirna to ask her help with translating or sued translation apps. We always felt listened to and supported. We experienced nothing but helpful staff during our stay which makes previous reviews about the staff hard to understand.

Not many places I have visited previously that I would return to, but I would not hesitate to return to the Asur. Dalyan is such a beautiful place and has so much to offer for children and adults alike. You can’t go wrong picking the Asur as your base.

Room Tip: Make sure you go to the riverside at 8am if you want to spot turtles before the boats start moving

First time visiting Turkey and this hotel/b and b (I wouldn't call it a hotel due to lack of evening meal option even though advertised by Tui as a place that did evening meals). The sunbathing areas are fantastic, we opted for the riverside because it was a little cooler and it was lovely watching the boats go by. Also the loud music by the poolside is not for us.

The hotel is very clean, rooms are pretty and equipped with everything you need and air con is available (and needed) at no extra cost. Breakfast was ample and the freshly cooked to order pancakes were delicious.
The owners were friendly and lots of people return here year on year.

It seems that the boat shuttle offered by the owners to the beach is no longer running (again advertised by Tui) however you can buy tickets from reception for the local water taxi and the small harbour is right next door, two minutes walk. This is also where you can get the ferry to go across the river and see the ruins at Kaunos, another holiday maker gave us a tip to not retun the way we went to the ruins and to turn left on our way back down the hill where we walked underneath the rock tombs, this was a fabulous view and worth doing.

Dalyan is a lovely town and livelier than I expected with plenty of places to eat about 15 minutes walk from the b and b. We enjoyed the restaurants next to the the river with views of the tombs and watched the turtles swim by, a little more expensive but the river and the views were the reason we booked to go to Dalyan.

Only one negative for us was from our room we could hear the music from the swimming pool bar into early hours of the morning which did keep us awake. The music was more akin to a nightclub and the same music is on a loop. Sometimes the bar man (very friendly chap) would not read the audience of the hotel correctly and lots were moaning about the music but didn't seem to want to complain. It was more fitting to a 18 to 30's holiday rather than the laid back atmosphere of the environment we were in, very strange. We did however politely ask him to turn the music down at 1am one of the nights because we needed to be up early for a trip, which he did and he was apologetic.

All in all a great place to stay in a nice town with plenty to do, history with Kaunos and the tombs, watching turtles swim by whilst eating at the Riverside, boat trip to the beach, boat trips to see local sights Inc mud baths!

The owners need to speak to Tui about their advertising of evening meals on offer and the boat shuttle that is not available, this is misleading.

Would we recommend this place, yes but ask for the music to not be so loud so that you can sleep!

Wow wow wow what an amazing little gem. Great location (5-10mins) from restaurants/bars. Fab big pool with plenty of sun beds, beautiful gardens with hammocks to relax in. Jetty to sit and watch the turtles swim by, and you can pick up a boat to get to turtle beach (small charge). We stayed in the hotel which has everything you need and so clean (free air con) every member of staff are so friendly, but a special shout-out to Mirna (manager) i have never meant a more friendly, helpful person. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely being returning next year with other members of our family

We stayed at Asur from 10/09/19 to 23/09/19 and had a very good holiday. The lovely helpful busy staff kept hotel and grounds very clean and tidy, a joy to be in. The small bathrooms are in need of upgrading, the room although small was kept fresh and clean throughout. Breakfast eggs very good the rest should be hotter and definitely not a fan of the orange drink, the bread, fruit and cereal all very good, shame about the morose owner sitting in corner looking on, he could have been more welcoming. The bar and snack areas all very reasonable and a good place to be in too. Loved the pool area and gardens, spent most of our time there in these delightful places. Took excellent complimentary trips to the beach from the jetty. We both fully enjoyed the walk into town and had many happy hours there. Lots to see and do, will definitely go again. Mona very helpful throughout for various reasons and especially when we had to be repatriated at the end of our stay. A lovely lady.

We stayed here for 7 nights at the beginning of July. We stayed in the hotel and we loved the traditional style rooms, beautiful carved wooden ceilings, rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels provided. The hotel and gardens are spotlessly clean. No sunbed wars - the only thing I'd make note of is that you can't move the parasols so it can make it difficult to find shade in the afternoon by the pool. However there are many shady areas in the gardens and with a gorgeous breeze too. Loved the jetty too. Breakfast was plentiful and with fresh eggs, pancakes fruit and plenty of other options. I have no negatives about this hotel - it's a haven of peace and quiet. Lots of couples in the hotel and the apartments seemed to be better for families. The apartments are located a couple of minutes away and have their own pool too. We loved our week here and would return.

We’ve just arrived back from Asur Apartments and we loved our stay. It had everything we wanted & more. We stayed in the ‘apartment’ section of Asur but could use the hotel and facilities/pool/garden area. The garden area is amazing, is on the river with lots of sunbeds, swings, chairs etc situated across the gardens. It’s the perfect spot to chill out, read and enjoy the Turkish sunshine.
The rooms were spotless, maids came in every day, we enjoyed seeing the different decorative pictures left on our bed it brightened up our day. The rooms have everything you need for self catering, especially with a small child. They even purchased us a new high-chair for our little girl which really was them going the extra mile.
The staff were all brilliant, made us feel so welcome, especially our little girl Olivia. So nice being greeted by friendly faces every day!
The apartments are a 10 minute slow walk in to the main town which we found to be perfect for us.
We will definitely return, hopefully May 2025!!
