We were 2 couples and stayed for 1 night. We had a small room and the one from the attic. The small one kind of needs improvements: there was a bit of mold forming on the wall next to the bathroom; the bathroom has no ventilation and the water does not drain correctly; probably this is the cause of the mold. The room was warm through the night. The one from the attic is pretty big and nice to stay in it. The only problem are the stairs to the room, which are a bit narrow. I would like to add that the lady that housed us is really nice. If you are just passing by in Sighisoara, it's fine for 1 night and not that expensive like the others.
The location is just perfect when visiting Sighisoara. Really cosy place to stay, host was very friendly and helpfull! The mansion has a very good location, in the middle of the citadela, near the Clock Tower and the other sightings . We found it very comfortable and wish we could have stayed a lot longer. Highly recommend!
Except the fact that is located inside the walls of the fortress, this place does not have anything exciting, on the contrary. The room floor and furniture are scratching at the slightest movement and there is a smell of old dust that will stay with you at least a couple of days after you leave. The bathroom is dirty, with sanitary ware and cheap decoration elements, trying to imitate the old ones. We stayed only one night there however, it didn’t worth the money and a hotel outside the fortress would have been a much better option.
We booked a small and pretty cheap room, wich was very very lovely. We loved the old house and how it is decorated. It was warm, hot water, confortable it was great! They do accept Sodexo vouchers also.
The location is perfect the house in Baroque Style, very clean very comfortable the bathroom modern heating working fridge in the room they speak English and they are lovely the only thing I would suggest is not a place for the wheelchair, it's located up in the mediaeval City and no car allowed it is a big walk with big steps but it is worth it, they have a restaurant and the food is lovely, local food
The general feeling of the location is that you are sleeping in a castle - everything is old, but very well maintained and cosy. I highly recommend the top floor room. Good Wifi and the staff was very friendly. I would come back here anytime.
Although few people in Sighisoara know about "Casa Baroca" we easily found the location. The welcoming hosts, the restaurant staff, friendly, diversified menu and the corresponding price. Excellent price, exactly what I wanted. Recomanding with confidence!
nice room in the attic, cosy, the room is fair-sized, 110 m close to the clocktower; medieval restaurant doesn't have lots of dishes in the menu, but the offered ones are tasty and come in big servings
What a disappointment. Their advertising information over 1 year out of date as acknowledged by the owner. We booked a double room and were expecting to be able to share a kitchen as advertised. The kitchen was removed over 1 year ago to fit in the room we were in. There wasn’t even capacity to make a cup of tea in your room. There is no bar or restaurant on site, it is across the road and down a bit and the terrace area was full of garbage bins. The room was tiny and there was an unpleasant damp smell. There were no bedside tables or reading lamps and the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. The building is several hundred years old and full of character and the room was very quiet. To their credit the owner let us put our food in their fridge – otherwise it would spoil - and they provided us with a kettle.…
I was starving amd I really wanted to try typical romanian food... Alexandra helped me and recommended the best of the best...and the prices are perfect!! I just loved it!! Ps: Alexandra speaks English and Spanish too!! Big shout out for this girl!! My fave waitress so far!! 😘
