Historical gem located directly in the center of the small "Upper" Old Town Center. Great housekeeping & atmospheric property with an inviting small bar & lovely cellar restaurant, or outdoor dining in good weather. Rooms appropriately decorated in period furnishings. Just the type of eclectic place you want when visiting such a place. Easy 15 minute stroll down the hill to the lower town center if walking is an option.

Excellent stay in the heart of the historic center of Sighisoara. The rooms are very nicely kept and furnished respecting the historical forms and shapes of the building. Very good restaurant at the premises as well and kind and dedicated staff makes this stay unforgettable.

We enjoyed our 2 nights stay at this hotel in the citadel, it was very clean, the staff was very friendly, helpful and proactive, to mention that we have a 1 year old kid and at breakfast the chef prepared for him a meal without sugar (I was very impressed and happy about it). So I really recommend this place in Sighisoara, if we will return for sure we will stay here again. Also we could pay with vacation tickets card and the breakfast was a la cart (very tasty and fancy/compliments to the chef). Below is a photo with the view in front of the hotel.

Once in a while you really want to give a 5 star re ire as the food is just amazing, but there are just to many small things that could have made the experience perfect, but.... they didn’t. Let me start by saying that the food at the Georgius Krauss House leaves nothing to be desired. It is excellent. The staff is totally friendly as well. So what is there to complain about then? Well, let’s start with the moment we enter. The nice waiter explains to us the restaurant doesn’t have the soup anymore. No problem, clear message. Turns out he forgot to mention they also ran out of the rabbit and a few things more. Lesson one, be clear when you don’t have something. My second small thing. Cheap paper napkins. The place looks amazing, candles, flowers, elegant, why not make a small investment and put real napkins on the table. Wines. Yay for a true decanter. Nay for one that has a serious chip out of the glass making it hard to pour. And once in a while fill up our glasses, it is just the little things that make good into excellent. Same for the water. I did try like the food and the place, almost feel bad for not giving them a full 5 stars, but please guys, make a small improvement and you are the best restaurant in Sighisoara, your food truly rocks, your wines are good, and the value is excellent. Add 10% to your price and get napkins and a decanter without cracks.

The hotel is in the middle of the Old Town where car access is restricted. You need to coordinate with the hotel for the pick-up of your luggage. During our second stay they were short staffed: the same young man was the barman, the waiter, the receptionist and the valet. Not a good and effective experience. This time we needed a room with two singles. We received a tiny room, with totally inadequate storage. The waits for breakfast were too long. They started baking the croissants when we ordered them. And then they were over baked and too dry. Our first experience of last summer was much more pleasant, despite the church bells ringing at all times. Next time we will consumer alternative lodgings.

It is in Romania so people don't fall all over you but I found the staff attentive and efficient. My room was two floors up and a slight girl carried my bag up on arrival which made me feel guilty. The room was very pleasant with a smart bathroom. The only small problem was the bedside light which like in most hotels was useless, but easy fixed by removing the shade. This a nice place to stay - right in the historic area and with the extra of a very nice restaurant . Breakfast was excellent and wifi was fine Recommended.

We stayed one night in Sighisoara and chose to spend it in this incredible Unesco grade I monument from the XVI century. The stay was just incredible: friendly welcome and the staff very helpful and kind, delicious breakfast where you are served in contrary to the classic hotel breakfast, comfy rooms. Talking about the rooms, they are so beautiful and the fact that they are so old gives you a superb feeling. A medieval house in a medieval square.

This room is located in the old town of Sighisoara. It is more of the edge of old town do not as much crowds outside. It’s just minutes out from the heart of the center of old town. It’s close to the church so the ringing in the morning bothered some in our party. There are no elevators but staff helps caring the luggage and if you are on the main floor there are not many stairs. Our stay included breakfast, which although was a limited menu was delicious. Also we were there during an especially hot period and the AC worked wonderfully. Also the rooms come with bath salts to pamper yourself in the nice big baths. Of the rooms we saw and stayed in 103 was our favorite. The rooms: 101: this has a queen bed with what seems a large tv mounted above the bathroom door. However, the bathtub is located in the main area by the bed which makes the room feel smaller. It also has a walk in closet which requires climbing some stairs. 102: this is a special room that has the original mural on the wall. However to protect it there is no AC and just a fan. Also the bathroom is not separated per say but has a frosted wall around it. Also no bath here. 103: as I mentioned our favorite room. Nice big bath that is in the bathroom area. Nice view of the church. 104: I didn’t see this room very much but believe it has two single beds. 206 and 208: these are in the attic. 208 has a windows in the bathroom that you can look out while taking a bath. Staff was also friendlier then other staff we came across in other places. Serijo (sp?) was especially friendly. My one negative is that the pillows were somewhat small and when we went to get a few extra after 10:30 the person on duty (who we had to track down) had no access to the pillows.

This hotel was booked for us by Rolandia and my wife and I stayed here for a night. The Pluses: -Good location, a minute away from the square on the citadel. - The restaurant served a wonderful dinner and excellent breakfast - Service was excellent - extremely friendly and helpful staff The negatives: - Our room (No. 5) was on the second floor. The room was rather small and claustrophobic with just one tiny window. No elevator in the hotel, but the staff helped carry our bags. Overall a pleasant stay for a night.
