What a wonderful woman, she provided us with everything you could hope for and always with a smile. Food was delicious, the views were magnificent, rooms were perfectly adequate (despite the storm and powercut whilst I took a shower!), and our organised trek to Sapa was wonderful. Mrs Moon even looked after one of our friends who was ill at the hotel (whilst we headed on the trek) and she provided her with regular check ups, jam and bread, and then subsequently arranged her travel to meet us on the second day of trekking!

Mrs Moon was beyond helpful in helping me and my friends plan our short time in Sapa. She recommended various activities such as a a hike in CatCat village and a day hike with a local tour guide through the rice fields. Good price for water, decent included breakfast, and a friendly place to stay. Rooms were clean and sufficient, but Mrs Moon's kindness made the trip!

For $25USD per night we were expecting much better. It was so noisy not only from outside the hotel but also inside. We were on the 1st floor, the "quiet zone" but this is also above the bar and reception downstairs. The noise carries through the large stairway beside it, at all hours of the day and night. I had ear plugs in and still had trouble sleeping. Our room was attached to the rooftop balcony thing, which other rooms could also access. Our windows and door that connected to this didn't lock properly and made me feel quite paranoid about people getting into our room. This room doesn't have aircon and the staff member said we could open our windows to cool down- as mentioned before, it was an open rooftop with other people also having access, no thank you! The curtains were gross and dirty with spiders in them. There was a sizeable hole in the wall. Beds were not comfortable and the pillows were more decoration than for sleeping. At least two of the lights weren't working, one didn't even have a light bulb in it. The few good things: location, easy to get around Sapa town from here. Breakfast ok. Only one night here so we dealt with these issues, if more nights I would've asked to be moved. Staff: move your quiet rooms away from all the noise! Make sure windows and doors lock. Repair damage to the rooms.

Upon arriving at the hostel I had a large burn on my leg due to my exhaust. After asking where a pharmacy was miss moon was kind enough to give me a full tube of bepanthen antiseptic cream ( which she let me keep at the end of the stay). We stayed for 4 nights. The rooms were all very clean, only issue being they were slightly damp. However with the fogginess of sapa this would be hard to avoid. Breakfast was served from 7 until 9. However when we went up at 10 o'clock we were still greeted with a coffee and a selection of food to start the day. When asking for recommendations (food/massages) miss moon went out of her way to actually take us to the location rather than giving us directions. She also was able to provide us with all the tickets we needed to reach fanzipan mountain. Miss moon made sapa all that much better for the two of us and we couldn't recommend visiting her more! (Even if it's just for a chat)

The room isn't clean, the sheets and the pillows full of mold, and the room smells like rot. We have been told that the room will be ready at 14:00, but when we get there to do the chek in the owner told us that it will take one more hour. We waited there an hour and then the room steel was not ready. DO NOT buy bus tickets from her. The bus was terrible, our bags came totally wet, and the staff was cruel.
