We visited Sapa in November so it was very cold - I recommend jackets and warm gear. We stayed at Heavenly Homestay after many emails to Dat (owner). Dat was always friendly over email however in person he was much less so. We had dramas with the transport he organised to pick us up from the train - the taxi...

My husband and I stayed at Heavenly Homestay for three days and two nights in October. We stayed in one of the new bungalows (with a huge bed and ensuite toilet & shower) that was recently competed next to his home. Don't expect your stay to be like older reviews; Dat's business has grown and this is more like a...

Our experience with Dat was a 10 out of 10. We are teachers in Thailand so we were on a strict budget and worried about the expense. We now realized what an incredible value Heavenly Homestay is and wished we had stayed longer. Dat is an incredible cook. My wife has food allergies, which I let Dat know about beforehand,...

She is a fantastic guide who really knows the local area. She even brought us to her home to sample some fresh cucumbers and to meet her family. We really...
