I already posted this review 2 years ago but it has been deleted. I still think people should know about his guy... We chose to stay in this hotel because of our low budget. We got 2 double rooms for 3$ each room. You could see everybody was getting different rates depending on how much they bargained. The rooms were...

Funny Ben picked us up of the street when we were on the hunt for a room, for $10 a night he said we would get a room with a great view, electric blankets (a must at the time) and they had a fire place. We were not disappointed. We did book our treking through a different company and his...

We arrived in Sa Pa early in the morning and met with the famous guy self-proclaimed "funny ben" ! A room with nice view, hot water, heater and hot blankets : that's what he promised us with lots of sympathy. How could we turn down ? Price was okay : 8$ for one couple. Nice view. And hot blankets were...

When we arrived, the hotelmanager lured us out of the bus with his 8$ offer. We followed and thought the rooms were nice with a beatifull view. We wanted to do laundry ourselves but that wasn't allowed. So i bought a bucket in front of the hotel en did it anyway. One night we came back from dinner and in...

The hotel room was basic but fine with hot water, fairly reliable wifi and cable tv. But the stand out was the view, absolutely amazing view of the mountain range and an easy walk to Cat Cat village (40,000 dong entry). Try to stay on the top level for the best views and also no noise from reception. I think...

Hotel Mimosa or Green Tree (as you wish, this hotel has two names) is located in downtown, near the market, where is possible to find very good and cheap food. BUT that is all. The owner of the "hotel" is playing dirty game, unfortunatly you find out it very quickly that he is not your friend! The prices which you...

We paid 145,000d per night for four nights in a large double room with a good view, large window (although people have a habit of peering in as they walk by), and attached western toilet and hot water shower. I looked at perhaps half a dozen budget hotels before finding this one, and decided on the Green Tree (also called...

I asked my hotel in Hanoi to book me a guesthouse in Sapa, and they booked me into Green Tree Hotel. I was ripped off completely, having to pay $15/night and then $5 each way transfer from the rail station at Lao Cai. I was allowed into the room as soon as I arrived in Sapa off the early morning...
