If you want to support an awesome cause, stay here - eat here. You'll leave wanting to stuff your bag full pastries and tip better than you have throughout your trip. The purpose of baguette & chocolat is one of the few good and beneficial aspects to tourism in this country. The students being trained are eager to do well,...

Baguette and Chocolat is a 4 bedroom B&B run by teenagers who are trying to make a difference in their lives. The coffee shop (on the bottom floor) is the best in town offering genuine home made cakes and great mugs of tea/coffee/chocolate etc. The rooms are really big - as are the beds, serviced daily. We stayed in ''Coookies"...

We have not stayed in the place, but we checked the rooms to stay there. The bathrooms were nice, rooms simply furnished, but clean. The price we were told was USD 22 per room. The rooms are not spacious, so nothing for a family. But a great plus the hotel is situated in a very quiet street, u do not...

this place was amazing. the food was insanely delicious and the place was so cosy especially since it was practically freezing outside. great place to sit with your hot chocolate by the window and people watch. the rooms were even more welcoming. electric blankets and a heater in the room kept us warm and snug at night. wonderful bathroom with...

We spent 2 nights at Baguette et Chocolat while exploring Sapa and enjoyed our time there. They helpfully arranged transfer from the train station in Lao Cai. After the overnight train from Hanoi it was heaven to relax over a good French breakfast and have a long hot shower when our room became available at about 10am! There are only...

The room was only cleaned after the second day of our stay. and only because we asked. The food was mediocre, the staff unattentive, which sat for hours in the computer playing games, you had to stand by their side - as a guest - for them to get the clue that you needed to use the internet. There were...

Wanting to support a worthwhile cause, we asked our hotel in Hanoi to book our stay at Baguette et Chocolat in Sapa, and it was a great choice. Arriving after our overnight train trip and bus ride at about 7am, having missed dinner the night before it was great to be able to sit down and have a huge, delicious...

Bagette & Chocolate is a non profit making cafe and guest house that was set up to train young people in the area in the hospitality industry. The cafe serves a good variety of light meals (including lots of vegetarian options), some lovely cakes and drinks (including alcohol). My husband accidentally left his camera bag behind and, when we returned...

Baguette & Chocolat has some shortfalls but our overall experience was a positive one and we would return for the food alone! We stayed in the Brioche Room (one of four), and all are situated on the floor above the shop. The shop itself is the highlight. Run by disadvantaged youths the cakes and pastries, all in the region of...

We booked through a travel agent online about 6 weeks before we were due to arrive in Sapa. Booked 2 rooms and paid for them online. On arrival (on the LC1 Day-Train - do it!) it became obvious from nervous glances that they had overbooked and only had 1 room available. Fortunately for them and us it didn't worry us...
