We stayed here for three nights while touring the area. The hotel is located close to the river and markets, the rooms were offered at a reasonable price and were clean, although somewhat basic, the buffet breakfast was nice and offered a large variety of foods.

Check in fast, rooms ok but beds very hard, kettle cups etc but no beverages provided. Security bit of worry as stare case from rooms at one end led to open street. Breakfast had a good choice. Close to town centre, walked in and through the market, locals did not seem that friendly in comparison to all the other places...

We only spent one night here but it was a lovely place to crash. We had a full day on the Mekong delta - arrived at 6pm, ate in the restaurant (food was great), cleaned up (bathroom was clean, tidy and reasonably modern) and slept (on a very hard bed). Only frustrating thing was the pulsating noise from the karaoke...

We were told that the Chau Pho was one of the two best hotels in Chau Doc, with the Victoria being the best. However, we were not at all impressed. Although our room was very large, with a three piece suite and lots of space, there were few other positives. The room had a strange musty smell which suggested dampness,...

Hotel is right at the market square and the noise carries over. Rooms are comfortable. Good breakfast choices. We could watch live on the streets from our room, including a funeral procession with noisy music. Good choice for a central location.

AS border towns go it wasn't bad but we certainly didn't have one of the large rooms with sofa's or sitting rooms. We switched off the a/c but couldn't open the window because of the noise from the karaoke bar across the road. The temperature in the hotel restaurant was too cold for us to eat there even with coats...

Our room was very large with a sofa and 2 chairs plus a nice bathroom. The lighting was good but the bed was the harder Asian style. Breakfast was quite good with plenty of variety. The drawback was the location as it is across the street from a karoke place which had a booming bass which became annoying.

Descent hotel, clean, good breakfest, english speaking staff. Only problem is a karaoke club at front of hotel so if you will be have room with street view, it can be noisy! We had this kind of room! Close to city center, a lot of bars around hotel. With the small choice of hotels in Chau Doc this one is...

We stayed one night at the end of a Mekong bicycle tour, didn't expect much and were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were huge, including a large sitting room, clean, had comfortable beds and large washrooms. Wifi was free, with a password from the front desk. The neighbourhood was not good for walking, with breaks in the sidewalks and an odd...

With a tenniscourt in the back Chau Pho has a future with its clean and fresh rooms. Showerpower could be improved, breakfast was not upon par but hey, don't we all need something to improve sometimes? Staff has been efficient, there's plenty of restaurants around serving OK food and cold beers.
