returned to this cozy hotel after 5 years, I hardly believe my eyes that everything is maintained at same level in terms of rooms and facilities. The thing that has amazed me the most is food!! At Bassac restaurant, all meals are nicely set and cook with authentic flavor! Stayed over 12 days and Victoria team has treated me so well. Stabilised internet connection makes my conference calls at fairly good condition and we all love the outcomes! Thank you and see you <3
We visited a year ago, when we went on a month long holiday to Vietnam and Cambodia. We were thinking about it recently and this is the most memorable hotel (out of about 8 we stayed on this trip). It was a year, so details are hazy. What is not hazy is the way the stay made us feel: special. How lovely it was to watch the boats out of the window when having coffee. Great food in the restaurant (hotpot) been the standout. The day spent just lacing by the pool with g&t and how attentive the staff were. Game of pool next to open window with crazy street noises coming in. Posters on the walls. One could imagine been transported into the a bit of colonial past, for a few days. It was lovely. It’s a colonial style building and similar service.
We were 3 French girls and we came to this hotel for one week-end. We spend a very nice journey: amazing swimming pool, breakfast, bedroom and client services. All the staff was very kind and caring, especially Sang, the receptionist! We had the chance to meet him. If you want the best place to visit and where to eat, you have to ask him. He had the best advises. Thanks to him, we discovered beautiful places that we wouldn't have seen if we were alone. I really recommend you this hotel, you will not be disappointed !
We visit Chau doc for a couple of days, this is a clean hotel, nice view of locaton, large swimming pool, good restaurant. I recommend this hotel for whom need quiet, clean space. You can drink coffee in front of hotel, that's biggest coffee shop in Chau doc, crowed people,
We enjoyed the appointments of the room with tasteful wood and built inn closets and fixtures. The bathroom had nice amenities. The breakfast was very good but a bit hectic as everyone was leaving at the same time to get on a boat to Pnomh Penh, Cambodia.
Was expecting a transit type hotel for the speedboat crossing into Cambodia was I wrong ! This hotel is fabulous we had a river view room with small balcony which was great for river watching ! So much activity to see Our welcome was so warm they could not do enough for you Room was lovely and spotless Supermarket across the road for supplies and a lovely pool to cool off in We ate at the hotel in the evening and this was such a good move the food and service were amazing and prices very reasonable and the game of pool after dinner was great Breakfast equally as good The best part was their own speedboat for the 5 hour journey into Cambodia they made it soo easy all paperwork done for you ( my only criticism the girl on our boat did not speak good enough English ) They served coffee pastries beer and water much appreciated a journey I was dreading was a brilliant part of the holiday thank you Victoria Châu doc ! Book this hotel and you won’t be disappointed …
We stay a group of traveler in this hotel only one night. we left at the next morning using boat to cross the border to Cambodia. our room was nice not so big but we feel comfortable, it clean. we also enjoy the dinner at this hotel. we are recommended this hotel.
Stayed one night before getting their speedboat up the Mekong to Phnom Penh which took five hours. The hotel is clean and has a lovely swimming pool overlooking the river which is busy with working boats of all sizes. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and furnished to a high standard. The river trip was a highlight of our holiday, stopping after a hour to get Cambodia visas for which you need US dollars which can be obtained at the stop. The speedboat had a hotel guide called Tran who looked after everything and was exceptionally pleasant and helpful.
This an excellent hotel to stay at in Chau Doc. Steps to the ferry terminal, either or leaving on the Mekong. Rooms where outstanding, beautiful. Bar prices were very good. Location close to restaurants. Good internet service. rated 4 star, closer to 5 stars. I would stay there again.
