We stayed in the 'MAGA' Villa next to the pool for 10 days which was ideal. The service was amazing, each staff member was so wonderful and went above and beyond every-time. They organised things for us with ease like pick up from the airport, motorbike hire for our stay and also drop off to the airport. The Location in Canggu is perfect! Close to lots of nice restaurants and cafes and there is a lovely homewares store across the road aswell as a Wholefoods Grocery Store. They offer complimentary yoga nearby at their sister resort which we loved and the breakfast was delicious every morning - they even have a lovely additional vegetarian/vegan lunch and dinner menu too if that's something you're looking for. The location is perfect if you’re looking for a quiet oasis in busy Canggu not too far away! Rooms are spacious and clean (a bit dark in the bathroom). The staff is very helpful with all belongings. They don’t have any room service happening yet but there’s plenty around to order on GRAB. Pool is beautiful and so are the grounds. Overall great location with easy access to main streets. Very good sized pool. Great sized rooms. Shower was spacious. Amnitities were provided along with kettle and smart TV for Netflix. Bed had mosquito net. Staff were very kind and welcoming. One small thing to note. The roof we had was thatch like I don’t know the proper term. This meant that lizards could get in and we regularly had quite big lizards entering to get out the rain. I’m from the UK so I did get a bit squeamish over this. However this is no fault of the property lizards are everywhere in Bali and it’s to be expected. Overall a very nice stay.

Planta Boutique is a great hotel. What distinguishes it from the competition is its size: only five rooms. That means that you really feel special and on your own. Rooms are spacious and pleasantly decorated. Breakfast is nice and can be served in your room, which is a big plus. Even though it is not a buffet, there is a lot to eat and you won’t feel hungry afterwards. The staff is very kind and helpful: they drove us to the pharmacy when we needed it, and prepared a cake and in-room massage for a birthday. You can tell they want you to enjoy your time there. The swimming pool is great. It is not perfect and there are a few black spots. The information on the website is flawed: though we asked for it a day in advance, we could not get an airport shuttle. Also, each room is fitted with a beautiful bathtub, but there is not enough hot water to fill it to more than a third. The website also mentions a restaurant, a spa and yoga classes. All of that exists, but in a separate hotel. It’s only a five minute drive, but that should be mentioned. Finally, the spa prices are subject to a 21% tax, yet it is not written anywhere… so bear that in mind if you plan to treat yourself. All in all, Planta Boutique is a superb hotel. Those few negative points are only a result of the small size of the hotel, which is its main asset.…

This villa located at Canggu close to the labrisa restaurant , it's take about 30 minutea away by foot to get there ,we love this villa concept and the staff , garden is amazing ,quite place for relaxing

If you are expecting to visit this place and have what you see in the above photos, you are sadly mistaken!! This place is dirty, run down and in need of serious make over and scrub! We took over 3 of the five rooms and all where well below average. Our fly net had squashed bugs inside with blood stains and one of the other rooms fly net which was dragging on the floor, was black from where other people had walked all over it and we wont' mention what we thoughts the stains where!! Food was terrible and the pool was green. I asked the staff was it safe to swim in to which he replied, oh we will put more chemicals in. Two our the guests did decide to have a swim and the next day both came down with Gastro. This place is at the end of a street that we very aptly named Dog Poo Alley!! It was disgusting, don't venture down there in the dark, make sure your phone torch is on! As if this wasn't bad enough, all 3 rooms had money stolen from the safes!! YES you seen right, the safes!!! Totalling nearly $1,000. When we made the staff aware of this, well nobody cared and we were handed the keys to all the safes at the place from a bottom drawer in the kitchen, they thought we needed to get money out of our safes and we couldn't open them!! WHAT, I hear you say??? Yes correct!! So the security keys to all the safes are safely stored in the bottom drawer in the kitchen. Unbelievable!!! So we had to make a trip to the Police Station which wasted one of our morning to make a report, again nobody seemed to care! We quickly checked out and moved to another place. Which was a nightmare as two guests had gastro which we strongly feel was from the pool as we had all eaten and shared the same food!! My advice, avoid at all costs, how they can put luxury in their title is beyond me. Our photo of the sun beds covered, well just so you know, when the cover was removed, the lovely white beds that you see in their photo are covered in damp and mould! Beyond Disgusting!!! Absolutely waste of time and money!!!…
