We stayed in Wave House for a week and it was the best surf camp experience we have had. The breakfast is top tier! Honestly felt like a hotel breakfast, delicious and the portions were great. Our camp room for girls was also great! Very clear room and bathroom that got cleaned daily, again, kind of felt like a hotel which was nice. The only small issue with the rooms was that it was very hot on the top bunk so would need to have the ac on all night, but there is nothing really that can be done about this and they did have an ac that was good. The instructors are great and the lessons were very good and so very well planned and organised (unlike a lot of camps we have been to). I think the one thing that stood out the most to us (after the food of course) was the after lesson video analysis. We had one after every session and the analysis was very detailed and thorough. The other camps we have been to just show you some low quality video of you and make one comment about it but here the coaches would go into great detail with what needs to be done to improve and would physically show us as well. The video quality was also so much better than anywhere else. Honestly the whole experience was amazing, the camp grounds themselves are beautiful and very well located, as well as giving very much a hotel vibe. Felt very fancy and the price was lower than a lot of other camps in Bali! The staff were all friendly and great! Professional organisation, lessons and instructors. One cool thing you also get with them is entry to Finns VIP Beach Club. You get a free sunbed and towels (no minimum spend so it's free no strings attached) in the VIP area for the whole day and some other cool perks (one free coffee, two free welcome drinks (one alcoholic if you want it to be) and an ice cream, free water all day 15% discount on all food and drinks!) and you get access to Finns recreation club with a gym and waterpark and much more. Both me and my sister loved it an honestly cannot wait to go back. Made the mistake of staying at another camp the week before and regretting not being at wave house for our whole 2 week holiday. Met lots of international people as well! Saw some reviews about the Russian speakers and yes, there were quite a few but all of them spoke in English and actually some seemed to prefer that so they could practice their English and interact with the rest of the international people.

My Wife and I stayed here from 03 - 10/08 24. We cannot recommend Wave House enough! The accomodation is lovely, the room was big, light, clean and the bed was very comfy. We don't travel light and there was lots of storage and space so the room didn't feel cluttered. The bathroom is nice and clean. The food at the restaurant is really nice, we had breakfast everyday and lunch after surfing. The food is good quality along with the service! The surfing instruction is excellent too. We were complete novices and left after the week comfortable on the intermediate level. Roy was great at the video analysis helping us with some tips. Another great bonus is the Finns VIP cards, this gives you free access to the Finns Rec Club (gym, saunas, pools, splash park) and also gives you VIP access to Fins Beach Club (priority bed allocation in VIP, no min spend, 15% off food and drink). We went to the Rec club twice and the beach club once, all really nice and a great perk. There are always lots of activities and excursions running, there was free yoga most days, a quiz, a group dinner and a movie night. All well organised and good fun. If I had any feedback it would be the price of excursions are a lot more than it would be to go yourself. For example, Tanahlot temple visit was advertised at 350,000 each, but having already been we knew tickets were only 70,000 and transport there was only 80,000 on Grab / GoJeck (for a car). Also, after each surf session the instructors would disappear for a shower and to grab themselves a coffee and everyone else was just left standing in a car park for about 10 mins. Would be nice if there were some refreshments afterwards, like on diveboats after a dive, some coffee and fruit for example. These points are minor and we would definitely recommend Wave House and we will be back for some more surfing and yoga

It was my first time doing a surf camp and my first time to Bali, and I have to say I'm really happy that Wavehouse was the place I chose to have this initial experience. The dorms are amazingly spacious and modern, and the private room I later moved to was pleasant to stay in. The outdoor bar area is super nice, and has such a chill vibe to socialise with others or simply lounge around in your own company. I felt truly connected to the community of travelers I met there, which Wavehouse helped facilitate with the yoga sessions, fitness classes and social activities (on top of your surf crew of course)
The people at the reception: Maudy, Maria and Valerine were always willing to help me out with any issues I had, and down for a chat anytime. The people at the bar: Ega, Era and Algo were always polite and helpful, as well as great conversationalists
The surf staff consisting of Bukit, Wally, Adut, Allen and Wayan are absolutely amazing. They're such great help in the water in terms of positioning and timing on the waves, even giving you a push if it's looks like you're to slow to catch the wave. They're great fun to hang out with too. The head instructor Alex is really helpful with the surf video analysis and reading the waves. All the instructors were always willing to lend their time offering advice or coaching even outside of the official surfing lessons, and are passionate about helping you improve. I've learned a lot from everyone and would highly recommend the surf camp!
The food is also really tasty with a wide variety of options, and their homemade Kombucha is really good. Compliments to their chef for creating such consistent, high quality meals!
I have already booked my 2nd trip with them :)

I cannot recommend this accomodation for only a surf holiday. The teachers have different levels of competence, especially concerning weather and wave knowledge. Feedback on one's own abilities is almost exclusively given afterwards via video analysis and not directly in the water as I know it from other surf schools. In addition, little value is placed on personal circumstances. At a catch-up appointment as an external guest, I was told "bad luck, no new chance possible" because I could not reach the course in time due to the tense traffic situation (which was obiously not my fault at all). Also, the number of the yoga classes did not live up to what was promised on the website. However, I also had a good time on the camp's premises. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. The entire premises had appealing architecture and together with the facilities were inviting to relax and chill. The food was exquisite. And the location was very good since it only takes a five minutes walk to the beach.

Terrible attitude. My daughter came as a continuation. She was asked to work with a beginner for a couple of days to improve her stance. As a result, they have been feeding me breakfast for a week now and cannot return it. Their places are full now. And we paid 200 rubles to ride on the foam?!

This is literally THE best surf camp ever. I first booked a package of lessons at a different surf school that, long story short, stood me up and I had to start looking for a new one as surfing was the ultimate reason of the entire vacation. So I found Wave House, came to see what it was like as I was already in Bali, and it legit was love at first sight. You know how they wrote 'Pay us a visit and get enchanted' in the little summary of theirs? Don't underestimate the word 'enchanted' here – this is exactly what happened. It's just so obvious when people put their heart into something they do, and, honestly, it feels like this place functions on the basis of this exact principle. The level of organisation beats off the charts, the rooms and camp's territory is super clean, the staff is always there to help, the cafe serves close to gourmet kinda cuisine, the majority of surf coaches are Indonesians but speak decent English and know their stuff backwards (special shout out to Brazil and Sofyan here). Also, if you've been wondering where to make new friends as an adult – look no further (I know, right – it got me by surprise, too). It just takes one thing in common (surfing, that is) to kick the conversation off, and then it's just as good as it gets. If I could, I'd go back in time and book at least 2 weeks instead of 1 (I mean, you'll be able to get up on the board within 2 days, but it takes more time to actually enjoy doing that;). So long, Wave House, keep on doing you!xx

We were really optimistic about coming to wavehouse, however it fell short of awesome in a few areas. The Cons; The universal stoke of surfing just didnt exist around the camp unfortunately. I know the camp is Russian owned and that who books is beyond the control of the camp but the attitude of most Russian nationals really put a dampener on our stay. Even on surf trips their interactions were quite rude towards non Russians and staff. Massages were not as advertised unfortunately. Advertised video and photo reviews were not daily and only provided some of the time. My partner was a first time surfer and felt that learning to surf in such a large environment where English was not always the preferred language was hard. The Pros The food was great The staff are super hospitable Rooms were immaculate and well appointed Surf trips for intermediate surfers were really good and the coaches at this level were fantastic especially Alejandro and Sofyian I would go again but I would probably only go with a large group of friends to offset the russian factor.

Hi Anthony, Thank you for your stay and sharing your experience with other travelers. Exactly! Who books is beyond our control. Photo and video reviews are provided when its possible due to the spot and weather condition. Next time Ania could join private lesson instead so she would feel comfortable and improve faster. We are delighted to receive your compliments and appreciation. You made our day! We will strive to deliver great experiences consistently, please do come again with a large group of your friends. The more the merrier! Cheers, Wave House

The most important conclusion of my following review is that I'm going to come back to the Wave House Camp in next year.
Why you should visit this Camp? 1. Accommodation: expectations from the pictures on the Instagram correspond to reality. Rooms, beds, shower - in excellent condition. 2. Breakfasts: amazingly tasty! There is no buffet, but there is a feeling of a real restaurant with excellent cuisine. 3. Surfing: 6 times a week for different levels of skills. Professional and adequate trainers who supports you during your surf sessions. 4. Additional trainings: surf fitness, yoga, pool training: everything there helps you to become better. 5. People and atmosphere. Of course, this point depends on you, but my surroundings there were mega nice, friendly and helpful. 6. Bonuses: good price for all additional services; suitable for solo tourism; convenient location; great photographers like snipers with a camera; the cutest cats and dog; the best office managers ever;) 🤙🤙🤙

Wave House has a number of excellent surf coaches on staff who with video analysis after every season help you improve. The rest of the facilities invite for relaxing, the good is great and the rooms are clean. The vibe is good - most of the guests are Russian and one may need to zone extra energy to move the group discussion to English language. Usually there is no surf classes in the afternoon but one can organize with reception.

Dear guest, It would be nice if I knew your name. Agreed! We have excellent coaches! And that is one of our goals; improve your surfing skill! We cant control the guest who come to the camp. However, we try to keep the vibe good for everyone; All coaches and staff speak English and we communicate to our guests. We have daily and weekly activities; surf lesson, pool training, yoga, surf fitness training and trips around Bali. We can help to organize trips or other things upon request as well :) So happy that you enjoyed your stay with us. Thank you for lovely feedback and hope to see you next time. Cheers, Wave House

They have good food and nice service. The best photographer “Dani” who helps you with everything you need! What’s not okay is if you want to insure the rented surfboard!!! You have to pay every single day 45’000 IDR even your not surfing and taking a day off or traveling away for two days. Not faire!!

Hi Jael, Much appreciated for the candid review. Dhani is! He will be pleased that you mention his work. It is informed that the insurance is applied for the total nights of staying and it is an optional. We personally assisted you with giving a special offer. But it seemed it didnt meet your require. We value our customer's opinion and would like to thank you for bringing this to our attention. Enjoy your flight back home! Would be great to see you next time with your husband ;) Cheers, Wave House

Hello Nico! I'm Spanish and I went by myself to the camp. I didn't know anyone there or in Bali but I promise you that everyone is very friendly. I met two polish girls and I was all day and night with them. All the instructors speak fluently English and are very friendly. It's always also a good option to go with a friend. Enjoy!!
