Booked for 2 nights, ended up staying for 3. It is simple: It is like a luxurious version of home. This is what you get when staff understand preferences. I noticed quite a few subtle improvements including one not so subtle: higher staff to guest ratio in the club lounge. It makes a huge difference. The Club experience offers the best value in Tianjin and is highly recommended. Stars from a service point of were Emma especially - she has the confidence to think outside of the box. Special mention too of Daisy and Sophia, as reliable as ever. Just a brilliant 3 days.
We spent three days & two nights stay in Hotel Shangri-la, Tianjin recently. What we are feeling is marvellous and awesome! Even today, my 3 year old cute son still asked me when daddy will bring him once again to Shangri-la for a big fun! As a frequent guest and loyal Golden Circle member, I just want to thank this professional Customer Service Manager Philip Jiang, who had arranged everything in advance perfectly. We even can find some tailor made baby shampoo and lotion for my cute son in the bathroom. Special thanks to Horizon Club Lounge staff Emma, Ruby, Sophia, your service made us unforgettable! Special high appreciation to Daisy Zhao, Supervisor from Horizon Club lounge, who is always accommodating and super attentive, She is very nice lady with smiling face and always deliver 5 star service what we definitely enjoy. Thank you, My dear Daisy, just keep it up, you really deserve a token of recognition! Also thanks to Flaura Kong, Manager from Lobby Bar, who specially delivered very funny sticker games and sand painting for my son, who enjoyed this so much and even want to find Flaura play again next day! The Shangri La Tianjin is absolutely superb. The hotel offers excellent guest experiences. My family have been coming to this hotel for many staycations since the pandemic started. I absolutely feel compelled to write a good review for all my experiences. During my most recent stay on July 15, 2022, my family had a wonderful time. The kids loved the gorgeous swimming pool, and their buffet was delicious. The reception and all services are super friendly. I want to especially shoutout to Shangri La’s kids club. My niece had participated several programs with them. Their staff is super attentive and helpful with small kids. Manager Flora Kong is excellent! Highly recommend his hotel for summer staycations in Tianjin. We had a phenomenal experience!
I had a lovely experience in the lobby lounge at the Shangri-La Hotel. It really is underrated - the wine selection is great with wine available by the bottle or glass. The snacks provided with wine are also great (although a lot more than I expected). Winnie in the Lobby Lounge was excellent, very polite and professional. Happy to go back any time.
Checked in late on a Friday evening, the welcoming was ok but nothing special. Breakfast room service was cold and very poor quality so promptly returned it, was offered a free breakfast buffet the next day, but as the photo shows the restaurant was dirty and uncomfortable. This is definitely an older Shangri-La hotel, and could do with a renovation. Needed a suit carrier on my final day, which the Deputy Manager helped me with, but that was the only 'good' service during my trip. Location was quite good, had a nice view of the river and close to a shopping mall.
I booked a one bedroom apartment with a kitchen on my recent visit as I wanted to welcome some friends to celebrate my birthday. It is a fully functional kitchen and I was able to prepare all the canapés with a friend. It really had a homely feel to it, and when I needed something within reason, housekeeping was kind to oblige. Lamorak and Viki were especially helpful, and helpful with a smile. Thank you to them. I had requested up to 50 different wine glasses, plates and a few other useful bits and these were provided. The 96SQM apartment meant that my 16 guests were comfortable, also having a homely dinner party in a luxurious setting. It was an evening that will stay with me for a long time. The next morning, I enjoyed. a champagne breakfast in the club room (you can order champagne from the hotel beverage list at additional cost) . The view from the 32nd floor lounge, the highest club lounge in the city, offered sweeping views of the city and the Hai River - not a bad way to spend breakfast. While the whole Lounge staff was excellent, special mention must be made of Vien who took great care of our table of 4. Much appreciated. Finally, a huge thank you to Sam, the Director of Rooms, and his team, especially Omi. The service provided pre-arrival to one of my guests who had special needs is of the best I have experienced ever. Their unofficial 'If it is possible, we will do it' motto should be trademarked!Overall, a brilliant stay with typical Shangri-La hospitality.…
Tianjin is lucky to have a Shangri-La. With excellent professionalism and attentive service, this hotel is an asset. Compared to other brands in the city, this one truly shines above the rest. The hotel is located next to the Hai River and adjacent to the JialiHui mall. The rooms are well appointed and staff are knowledgeable, courteous and efficient. Check in was quick and easy, as way check out. The gym and health club were also an excellent experience. I’ll definitely be back.
I like staying at this hotel, very nice hotel staff.special thank to Helen. The restaurant also is great and the gym, horizon club, Parking and the hotel surroundin. The river is very close to the hotel where you can enjoy walking.
Second time visiting after 2 years, plus our child, upgraded to executive level, nice lounge with good service, food and wine in an unexpected way. Very chilled experience using a lot bathtub and slept well. Will try gym and swimming pool next time. Thoughtful service is the core value.
Last weekend we had a very nice experience in hotel Shangri-la, Tianjin, I can even say this is the truly 5 star hotel experience! When we just arrived in the hotel lobby early 10am in the morning, even i had notified the hotel one week ago, I never imagined hotel customer service already prepared everything when we checked in the counter. Special thanks to Mr. Philip Jiang, Front Service Manager, who is very helpful and professional and he is welcomed us at the check in counter, at the same time, he not only upgraded our room from Club Room to Suite, but also delivered very lovely plush toy bear to my 3 year baby, very impressive service our whole family enjoy this very much! Here, I also want to give high acclaim to this Executive Lounge, not just coz it has unbeaten panoramic Haihe River view, but also for the warm and unforgettable service by the entire team in this lounge, Supervisor Daisy Zhao, and Officer Emma Hou, Sofia Sun, all these ladies are very helpful and accommodating. I still remember in the weekend evening, my baby wanted to eat some non-spicy vegetables and Daisy Zhao tried all the way to deliver the same from downstairs restaurant. This is very professional Customer Service team, our whole family appreciated the service very much. I also want to extend my special thanks to Mr. Billy Zhu, Banquet Manager, who are always very helpful and warm hearted. He worked out very nice arrangement for evening tea and milk to the suite room. This is what I consider a truly luxury hotel experience. Clean, spacious, professional staff, good food, timely turn down service, fantastic swimming pool, awesome gym. When you stay in this hotel you will feel like a king/queen.
