Would have given 5 stars because it exceeded my low expectations but went with 4 stars because attention to cleaning detail could be improved easily. The room was large, 2 queen, very comfy beds. Has been updated but not kept in new condition. The view of River was great and listening to it at night was soothing. Hotel seemed empty... More

We chose the Kenai River Lodge for this trip as it worked for what we were in town to do and was very reasonably priced. The room was pleasant, had a wonderful view and was clean. We enjoyed sitting in a swing on the rivers edge in the evening. We were able to store our fish in a freezer on... More

This lodge is a but lacking with maintenance, but everything worked. The staff was friendly and even allowed us to keep our frozen fish in their freezer. All rooms have windows that face the Kenai River where we could see salmon fishermen working the bank.

Honestly, giving this hotel a one star rating is a stretch. While this hotel is located overlooking the Kenai River and is probably great for fishermen, I can't recommend this hotel for couples or for anyone else for that matter. It is noisy as it's right off the main road, our room was very small and dated, it was hot... More

My wife and I stayed here one night, just to experience it and take a break from longer stays at other places on our Alaska vacation. It's right on the Kenai River (really) and the highway, Rt. 1, but we were second floor, toward back, and though next to the 2nd floor bar (which we did not visit), our room... More

I spent $300 a night to stay here and was going to be charged $45 to do my own dishes. It is outdated but a place to sleep. I would search for another accommodation before coming back. It is located next to the Highway so it is quite loud.

We were looking for lodging while, in Soldonta. The lodge is right next to the Kenai River, and you can fish right from the Lodge. We stayed in room 222, great nice rooms with a great view of the river. You can rent fishing poles, etc. if needed, so you can fish. There is a lounge upstairs.... that has gas... More

This is a somewhat upgraded fishing camp....individual cabins set around a driveway/ parking lot amidst trees and near the kenai river. There is a main 'lodge' and an activities room (not opened during my stay). The lodge is really a cabin with a dining area added on. Positives: very clean: the river is a very short walk (50 '?); there... More

I am sorry I think you may have gotten us confused with another place. We don't have individual cabins on our premises of dining areas. Sorry. We are a hotel located in town right on the river! More

I would love to have this room when the salmon were running-not this time either. The rooms were right over the Kenai and I thought the pressure would be lighter when I reserved-wrong here. If the salmon were running people could get their limits then move on. Rooms were average, Bar was above the hotel.

This is a great place to stay. right on the river. Great fishing. Melody is so friendly. I will be back. Great location in Soldotna. Close to everything. I have stayed here several time. It seems like the same people come back year after year which speaks good for the lodge. Its just like a big family.
