The Best and Ultimate Experience in Alaska for fishing and fun! Stayed at the cabins with my Brother and my Dad on a guys fishing trip!! Conveniently located near Soldotna, and the surrounding areas for shopping and supplies. The itinerary for the trip was all booked ahead by Jeremy and Andrea, the owners. We had two days of Halibut fishing with J & J Smart Charters and three days of Salmon/Trout fishing on the Kenai River with Jeremy himself. Andrea was very helpful with the providing assistance when we needed it. Jeremy was an experienced guide who knows the hot spots for finding the salmon and trout. By far the best you can ask for in all the best fishing! If you came to fish on the Kenai, he is the best you can get!! The cabin we stayed in had all the great amenities! Full kitchen, pots and pans, toaster, oven, coffee pot, refrigerator. Beds were comfortable, couch and chair, tv, and AC. Jeremy also provided a box cooler for the lunches we made and allowed us to use the fish coolers to freeze the catches and process the fish to store in the provided freezers. Overall this trip was a fantastic and memorable experience we will never forget! We definitely will be coming back again!! Highly recommended for everything you need for a fishing trip or Alaskan experience!!

Loved our stay here the night before our fishing trip with Alaska Drift Away Fishing. Quaint cabin in the woods. Well maintained and well stocked with all you need for a pleasant stay. Would highly recommend staying here.

We had an amazing time in Alaska at Silvertip lodge! It was cool and rainy the entire time we were there, and the cabin was warm, dry, clean and cozy. We also cooked most meals for our family of 4; the kitchen was decently equipped so this was possible. And we loved the canine visitors to our cabin. Another great feature was the fish packing room. We caught over 150 pounds of salmon and halibut. Being able to vacuum seal and freeze the same day we caught our fish made sure it got home super fresh. And I can’t forget to say how great Jeremy and Andrea were. They were a huge help in the initial planning stages of our trip, and scheduled all our excursions. We just picked what we wanted to do and they set us up with the perfect itinerary; no stress involved at all. And when our arrival was delayed because of airport issues, they were even able to reschedule a trip for us so we could catch a few hours sleep before meeting our guide.

Our stay with Jeremy and Andrea was great! The cabins were perfect, everything you needed. Beds were comfortable and I loved the pillows, best sleep ever! We went on wilderness/whale watching excursion, salmon and halibut fishing. Jeremy and Andrea took care of everything, our itinerary was typed up and provided when we got there, which made everything go smooth. There was a nice campfire area, which we used a couple times, a laundry room, with washer and dryers, very nice going home with clean clothes. There was also fish packing cabin where you could bag up fish and freezer on-site provided for storage. The fishing trips were great! The cabins are 5 min from Soldotna ,which has everything for shopping and dining needs. I definately would recommend Silvertip to everyone!

This trip was a retirement present from my son. We had so much fun. Our cabin was more than I expected for a wilderness setting. It was very clean with everything we might have needed had we not gone out to sample the local cuisine every night. Our guides, Jeremy and Nick, were always ready for us when we got to the boat launches for our fishing trips. Their knowledge of the fishery and techniques to catch fish was amazing. They worked hard to put us on fish and did not disappoint. Jeremy and Andrea are very gracious hosts and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed.

We had the best time on our family vacation and loved staying at Silvertip. Jeremy and Andrea worked with us every step of the way, as we had to make some adjustments by adding additional family members to the trip. The cabin and lodge setup worked great for our families. Everything was clean and well kept; there was nothing lacking in the cabins. The kitchen had all the necessities to cook a full meal and there is a bbq and charcoal provided as well. We enjoyed fires in the evenings, where wood was stacked and readily available. Jeremy and Andrea set us up on a glacier/rafting tour that started and ended with a quick train ride. The views were amazing and this kicked off our first excursion. The guys did a charter two days later out of Homer where the filled limits of halibut and rockfish. We had some free days in between where we could explore also. We then did a river fishing trip on three boats, as there was nine of us, where Jeremy was one of our guides. My guide was J Rod and we had an amazing time fishing for king salmon. I think this was my favorite activity. Thankfully we enjoyed it because our Cooks inlet halibut trip got canceled due to weather. Jeremy and Andrea hustled to find us another activity and we we able to hop on another river trip with a guide named Aaron. The weather was wild on the river, but we hammered the fish! The float plane/Sockeye/bear viewing trip was our last adventure and it did not disappoint. The plane ride was a fun experience, we ended up catching limits of sockeye and got to see several bear snd some cubs. Overall, Jeremy and Andrea set us up to have an awesome vacation that we can’t stop talking about. They are a great family with an awesome setup. And we loved their sweet family dog Toto too!!!

Alaska Silvertip Lodge and Alaska Drift Away Fishing are located in a beautiful setting in the woods only a few miles out of Soldotna. The cabins are clean and comfortable. The fishing guides are some of the very best in the business. We have fished with Alaska Drift Away Fishing many times over the last twenty years and we have always had a great time catching fish! Thanks Jeremy for another successful fishing trip adventure and thank you Andrea for another comfortable stay at Silvertip Lodge.

Our family absolutely loved our time at Silvertip! We stayed in a cabin with two twin beds in one room and a king bed in the other which was perfect for our family with two young kids. The kitchen was fully stocked with all cooking essentials so we were able to prepare all our own meals after a quick trip to the local grocery stores (Fred Meyer and Safeway.) That was a major benefit to avoid eating out all our meals. The grounds are private and you feel like you’re camping out in the woods but with all the modern amenities (onsite laundry, WI-FI, etc.) The fish processing room was clean, organized and made everything so easy for us. Jeremy walked us through the best method for packing up all the fish we caught for the plane ride home. Andrea and Jeremy are the kindest hosts and very responsive to any need. We were impressed with their depth of knowledge of the area—it was like having the insider scoop on all things Alaska. Andrea made recommendations for hikes, site seeing, restaurants, and every experience was just as excellent as she promised. Fishing with Jeremy was the highlight of our trip! He’s an expert guide! Everything from his boat, gear, experience and knowledge was top notch! He gave thorough instructions, was incredibly patient with our 7 & 10 year old kids and enthusiastically cheered every fish we caught as if it were his first time too! Highly recommend booking a fishing trip with Jeremy at Alaska Drift Away Fishing. There simply isn’t enough good we can say about Andrea & Jeremy, Soldotna area and Silvertip Cabins and lodge!

My wife and I first met and started fishing with Jeremy Anderson and his company "Alaska Drift Away Fishing" over ten years ago when we lived in Alaska. We fished with him many times over the years and ALWAYS had a great experience on the river catching fish. Jeremy knows where the fish are and what gear to use for every occasion. We have never been disappointed and always enjoyed his pleasant company. This last summer, 2021 was the first time that we had the chance to stay at the lodge, "Alaska Silvertip Lodge & Cabins". He and his wife Andrea found this place in a beautiful setting in the birch forest just a few miles away from Soldotna and the Kenai River. The cabins are modern and well kept with all of the amities needed including a great vacuum pack processing room with chest freezers so when its time to leave for home your fish are also ready. We plan on returning next year for more fun on the rivers with this GREAT guide service with a sweet cabin in the woods.

Our family of four visited Alaska Silvertip Lodge in August 2021, fishing two days on the Kenai River, and one day halibut fishing. Our trip was booked only 2 months in advance, so Jeremy was fully booked for fishing trips, but he hooked us up with 2 other great guides. The cabin was very comfortable for the four of us and had everything you might need in the kitchen. The fish processing facilities were very clean and easy to use after Jeremy gave us a quick lesson. Jeremy also gave us great advice on where to buy a fish box we could check on the plane and how to pack the fish to keep it frozen for the trip home. Both Jeremy and Andrea were super friendly, always asking us how our day on the river was, or when giving us restaurant recommendations for dinner. Our Halibut trip was through J&J Smart charters where Captain Sara and her dad helped us catch our limit, then cleaned and vacuum sealed our catch for the drive back to the cabins. Our trip was originally booked for 6 people, but had to be changed at the last minute due to illness. Jeremy was very accommodating to the short notice changes we needed to make to the trip. I definitely recommend Silvertip, and hope to return soon (and stay longer).
