My husband and I came to stay at Alaska Silvertip Lodge and Cabins for an Alaska staycation visit as we were feeling we needed a change of scenery from our home. We were excited to see Alaska Silvertip Lodge and Cabins is offering AK Staycation discounts for Alaska residents for both their cabins and fishing excursions this summer. The cabins are located in a great location close to the Kenai River, grocery stores, and good restaurants. If you are into cooking your own meals, there is also a fully stocked kitchen. The cabins are private and spread out perfect for social distancing. We stayed in cabin #2 and it had an ample amount of space and was super clean. They have a great fire pit, fish freezers, and a fish processing room for vacuum packing your fish that is also super clean. We highly suggest checking out these cabins for a getaway this summer!

Our family of four visited Alaska Silvertip Lodge in August 2021, fishing two days on the Kenai River, and one day halibut fishing. Our trip was booked only 2 months in advance, so Jeremy was fully booked for fishing trips, but he hooked us up with 2 other great guides. The cabin was very comfortable for the four of us and had everything you might need in the kitchen. The fish processing facilities were very clean and easy to use after Jeremy gave us a quick lesson. Jeremy also gave us great advice on where to buy a fish box we could check on the plane and how to pack the fish to keep it frozen for the trip home. Both Jeremy and Andrea were super friendly, always asking us how our day on the river was, or when giving us restaurant recommendations for dinner. Our Halibut trip was through J&J Smart charters where Captain Sara and her dad helped us catch our limit, then cleaned and vacuum sealed our catch for the drive back to the cabins. Our trip was originally booked for 6 people, but had to be changed at the last minute due to illness. Jeremy was very accommodating to the short notice changes we needed to make to the trip. I definitely recommend Silvertip, and hope to return soon (and stay longer).

We stayed at the Alaska Silvertip lodge this August. Our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The cabins are in good condition and spotless. We had everything we need for our week stay. The beds were in good condition, black out shades work perfect and all appliances were in great condition.
Our Hosts Jeremey and Andrea were fantastic. They stayed in contact with us and got back to quickly with any of our questions. They were very understanding with all the craziness going on with Covid requirements. It felt like we were staying with friends.
The cabins are located a short drive to everything. If your taking the day off from fishing there is still a ton of things for the family to do.
If you are thinking of going to Alaska you can't go wrong booking at the Silvertip Lodge.

Silvertip Lodge and Cabins is the perfect location to basecamp on your trip to the Kenai Peninsula. If you are hiking, rafting, fishing, birding, salmon fishing or halibut fishing book a cabin at Silvertip Lodge. The cabins are clean and placed in a natural setting among large trees for a private wilderness experience for a great night of sleep. The cabin was large enough for our family with a kitchenette to make our lunches for the day out exploring. At night we gathered around the communal fire pit and exchanged stories with friends and family of our adventures.

My wife and I first met and started fishing with Jeremy Anderson and his company "Alaska Drift Away Fishing" over ten years ago when we lived in Alaska. We fished with him many times over the years and ALWAYS had a great experience on the river catching fish. Jeremy knows where the fish are and what gear to use for every occasion. We have never been disappointed and always enjoyed his pleasant company. This last summer, 2021 was the first time that we had the chance to stay at the lodge, "Alaska Silvertip Lodge & Cabins". He and his wife Andrea found this place in a beautiful setting in the birch forest just a few miles away from Soldotna and the Kenai River. The cabins are modern and well kept with all of the amities needed including a great vacuum pack processing room with chest freezers so when its time to leave for home your fish are also ready. We plan on returning next year for more fun on the rivers with this GREAT guide service with a sweet cabin in the woods.

We took advantage of Jeremy and Andrea's very generous Alaska Sta-cation offer and spend a wonderful night with them over Memorial Day weekend. Their cabins are beautiful, clean and comfortable. We brought our food with us and were able to cook a fantastic meal for an anniversary celebration.
On Monday, Jeremy met us at the Kasilof River, just off of the Sterling Highway and we drifted for Kings the entire day. It was absolutely beautiful and Jeremy was incredibly skilled targeting fish for us.
We plan to go back again this summer. They are offering special rates for Alaskans and this is an Alaskan family you will want to stay with.

Our family absolutely loved our time at Silvertip! We stayed in a cabin with two twin beds in one room and a king bed in the other which was perfect for our family with two young kids. The kitchen was fully stocked with all cooking essentials so we were able to prepare all our own meals after a quick trip to the local grocery stores (Fred Meyer and Safeway.) That was a major benefit to avoid eating out all our meals.
The grounds are private and you feel like you’re camping out in the woods but with all the modern amenities (onsite laundry, WI-FI, etc.) The fish processing room was clean, organized and made everything so easy for us. Jeremy walked us through the best method for packing up all the fish we caught for the plane ride home.
Andrea and Jeremy are the kindest hosts and very responsive to any need. We were impressed with their depth of knowledge of the area—it was like having the insider scoop on all things Alaska. Andrea made recommendations for hikes, site seeing, restaurants, and every experience was just as excellent as she promised.
Fishing with Jeremy was the highlight of our trip! He’s an expert guide! Everything from his boat, gear, experience and knowledge was top notch! He gave thorough instructions, was incredibly patient with our 7 & 10 year old kids and enthusiastically cheered every fish we caught as if it were his first time too! Highly recommend booking a fishing trip with Jeremy at Alaska Drift Away Fishing.
There simply isn’t enough good we can say about Andrea & Jeremy, Soldotna area and Silvertip Cabins and lodge!

This trip was a retirement present from my son. We had so much fun. Our cabin was more than I expected for a wilderness setting. It was very clean with everything we might have needed had we not gone out to sample the local cuisine every night. Our guides, Jeremy and Nick, were always ready for us when we got to the boat launches for our fishing trips. Their knowledge of the fishery and techniques to catch fish was amazing. They worked hard to put us on fish and did not disappoint. Jeremy and Andrea are very gracious hosts and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed.

Our stay at the Alaska Silver Tip Lodge and Cabins was top notch. The cabin was large and comfortable with Wi-Fi, filtered water, king-sized beds, and a nice Alaskan charm. They were clean, and the owners Jeremy and Andrea are the best of hosts. We spent time at the campfire, grilled up some excellent fresh fish, and had great fishing access. The staycation deals for locals right now are a hit. I’d recommend this place to my friends and family in a heartbeat.

Fishing for Rainbows on the Kenai River with Jeremy Anderson has become a right of summer for my wife and me. Gone are the DIY days where we tried to find rainbow trout on our own while, drifting, motoring, paddling, or otherwise getting ourselves in all the wrong places for catching rainbow trout. And then we hooked up with Jeremy and now we let him do the driving and we catch rainbows. He is a professional guide that operates a first-class boat and treats you like family. With his wife Andrea, they own cabins for rent in a nice, wooded setting close to fishing spots and town. If you want the real deal, then book a cabin and fishing trip with Jeremy and Andrea and create memories that last forever. Steve & Lisa.
