Our family absolutely loved our time at Silvertip! We stayed in a cabin with two twin beds in one room and a king bed in the other which was perfect for our family with two young kids. The kitchen was fully stocked with all cooking essentials so we were able to prepare all our own meals after a quick trip to the local grocery stores (Fred Meyer and Safeway.) That was a major benefit to avoid eating out all our meals. The grounds are private and you feel like you’re camping out in the woods but with all the modern amenities (onsite laundry, WI-FI, etc.) The fish processing room was clean, organized and made everything so easy for us. Jeremy walked us through the best method for packing up all the fish we caught for the plane ride home. Andrea and Jeremy are the kindest hosts and very responsive to any need. We were impressed with their depth of knowledge of the area—it was like having the insider scoop on all things Alaska. Andrea made recommendations for hikes, site seeing, restaurants, and every experience was just as excellent as she promised. Fishing with Jeremy was the highlight of our trip! He’s an expert guide! Everything from his boat, gear, experience and knowledge was top notch! He gave thorough instructions, was incredibly patient with our 7 & 10 year old kids and enthusiastically cheered every fish we caught as if it were his first time too! Highly recommend booking a fishing trip with Jeremy at Alaska Drift Away Fishing. There simply isn’t enough good we can say about Andrea & Jeremy, Soldotna area and Silvertip Cabins and lodge!

My wife and I first met and started fishing with Jeremy Anderson and his company "Alaska Drift Away Fishing" over ten years ago when we lived in Alaska. We fished with him many times over the years and ALWAYS had a great experience on the river catching fish. Jeremy knows where the fish are and what gear to use for every occasion. We have never been disappointed and always enjoyed his pleasant company. This last summer, 2021 was the first time that we had the chance to stay at the lodge, "Alaska Silvertip Lodge & Cabins". He and his wife Andrea found this place in a beautiful setting in the birch forest just a few miles away from Soldotna and the Kenai River. The cabins are modern and well kept with all of the amities needed including a great vacuum pack processing room with chest freezers so when its time to leave for home your fish are also ready. We plan on returning next year for more fun on the rivers with this GREAT guide service with a sweet cabin in the woods.

Our family of four visited Alaska Silvertip Lodge in August 2021, fishing two days on the Kenai River, and one day halibut fishing. Our trip was booked only 2 months in advance, so Jeremy was fully booked for fishing trips, but he hooked us up with 2 other great guides. The cabin was very comfortable for the four of us and had everything you might need in the kitchen. The fish processing facilities were very clean and easy to use after Jeremy gave us a quick lesson. Jeremy also gave us great advice on where to buy a fish box we could check on the plane and how to pack the fish to keep it frozen for the trip home. Both Jeremy and Andrea were super friendly, always asking us how our day on the river was, or when giving us restaurant recommendations for dinner. Our Halibut trip was through J&J Smart charters where Captain Sara and her dad helped us catch our limit, then cleaned and vacuum sealed our catch for the drive back to the cabins. Our trip was originally booked for 6 people, but had to be changed at the last minute due to illness. Jeremy was very accommodating to the short notice changes we needed to make to the trip. I definitely recommend Silvertip, and hope to return soon (and stay longer).

In September 2020, I booked two days of King Salmon fishing on the Kasilof River with Jeremy Andersen through Drift Away Fishing, a one-day Halibut Fishing trip and a cabin at Silvertip Lodge for June 2021. My group of four enjoyed the scenic drive alone Turnagain Arm, sampling beers at local breweries as we heading to Soldotna. Driving into Silvertip Lodge we were pleasantly surprised to find the Lodge’s cabins surrounded by trees, amply separated for privacy, quiet and yet centrally located within the "KENAI RIVER FISHING AREA”. Our Silvertip cabin was ready when we arrived, was very clean and easily slept 4 fishermen. We scored King Salmon on the first day fishing the Kasilof River, returning to the lodge we found the onsite fish processing cabin was well equipped with a commercial vacuum packer and freezer storage for the guests. I'd highly recommend booking a stay at Silvertip Lodge and Cabins and contacting Drift Away Fishing for your next Fishing vacation. Silvertip Lodge owners, Andrea and Jeremy Anderson, were gracious host and we look forward to seeing them on our next trip.

It was a trip of a lifetime, Fishing for King Salmon and Halibut but the best part was the hospitality and service provided by Jeremy and Andrea. The cabins and facilities were clean and comfortable with all the amenities you would ever need. If you have ever thought about a fishing trip to Alaska I would highly recommend the Silvertip Lodge and Cabins

Fishing for Rainbows on the Kenai River with Jeremy Anderson has become a right of summer for my wife and me. Gone are the DIY days where we tried to find rainbow trout on our own while, drifting, motoring, paddling, or otherwise getting ourselves in all the wrong places for catching rainbow trout. And then we hooked up with Jeremy and now we let him do the driving and we catch rainbows. He is a professional guide that operates a first-class boat and treats you like family. With his wife Andrea, they own cabins for rent in a nice, wooded setting close to fishing spots and town. If you want the real deal, then book a cabin and fishing trip with Jeremy and Andrea and create memories that last forever. Steve & Lisa.

We had an incredible stay. The cabins are comfortable, clean and have everything you need. The hosts are great, friendly and responsive. The campfire area was fun and the fish processing room was a great add-on! The cabins are also centrally located to all of thefishing and restaurants we went to in the area.

Cabins were immaculate. Love the bonfire area-met some interesting people. Also the addition of a 4 fish suction processor is a great addition. Jeremy and Nick also provide excellent guide service through Drift Away Guides. Loved the Rainbow trip and the float trip on the Kasilof for Sockeyes.

Our group of 4 just wrapped up our dream trip to Alaska (end of June into early July). It was the male family elders, with ages ranging from 53 to 83. When I set out to plan this trip, I knew little about Alaska, and nothing about who to trust our trip with. I finally narrowed down a list of activities we wanted to pursue (pretty much all fishing) and reached out to 4 or 5 lodges that offered more budget-conscious inclusive trip packages. Silvertip was very responsive, they put together a great itinerary to meet my requests, , and to my surprise, was quite a bit more reasonable than all of the others. The only downside I could see is that they do not offer waterfront 5 star accomodations, but I figured that we'd mostly just be sleeping there anyway, and I prefer to put the money into the activities than the bed. Honestly, as the guy making the plans for everyone else, I was a little concerned that the lower cost might be a red flag, but the good reviews convinced me to give them a chance. I am pleased to say that Jeremy and Andrea run a very professional operation... everything ran like clockwork.... from the clean and functional cabins in the woods, to the scheduling and performance of our charters/trips/guides. They even have a fish processing facility on sight to help you preserve your catch. Each cabin has a charcoal grill where we ate fresh fish most every night, and there is a community firepit and coin laundry on location too. But they are not just a well run business, they are a friendly and approachable family, who made us feel right at home. Silvertip is centrally located in the Kenai peninsula which made for easy travel to the Anchorage airport, fishing, and to sightseeing in Homer, Seward and other locals. We chose to do trips for sockeye salmon, halibut, rainbow trout, and a fly-out trip for bears and salmon. We caught our limit of fish every day (except for trout which are catch and release). I would say that the fly-out was our favorite event. But we also enjoyed sightseeing and a boat trip out of Seward. Early morning drives to fishing were a great time to spot moose, and after about the 100th bald eagle, you'll stop calling them out to everyone. Wildlife and scenic vistas are everywhere in the Kenai, it does not fail to deliver! Another point to consider, I was concerned as we had people with various levels of physical ability, but everyone did fine with the acitivities... the most strenous part was pulling halibut up from 300', and maybe the small ladder to get in and out of the float plane. Others posted cabin photos... I chose to show some activity photos. So in summary, I'd say this: Put yourself in their hands and let them help create the trip you've been wanting to take to Alaska's Kenai Peninsula. I think you'll be very pleased. We hope to stay with them again !

If you are expecting a luxury hotel, this is not it but it is the best of woodsy cabin accommodations we have stayed in in a beautiful setting not far from town. Our cabin was immaculately clean and very well equipped with a full kitchen, a table you could serve a meal at and a big living room. Two bedrooms were small but we only needed one anyway. Two luggage stands provided for each room. Complete coffee supplies were provided in the kitchen. Great place for 2 couples to stay. New webber barbecue grill outside. Our only complaint wass that the internet was slower than we have experienced in most other places on our trip. We only stayed one night but must people come here for multi night stays. Good experience.
