The Winterlake Lodge is located at Finger Lake, a checkpoint on the Iditarod Trail. it is incredible beautiful and accessible only by bush plane or snow machine. The lodge and cabins are wonderful and unique. The staff is world class, and the cuisine the same....More

We were there in August 2014. My advice is to dress in layers. If you're on a glacier you'll see ice - but it doesn't snow that time of year in the lower elevations where the lodge is located.
