I came with some friends for a 2 night stay. I had no idea what I was going to enjoy! What an amazing place. The hotel sits RIGHT on the water and the views are beyond spectacular. We had a water view, but even the town side of the hotel has amazing mountain and town views. There is a gorgeous deck to enjoy your breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktails on! Truly a JEWEL in Alaska. The food at the restaurant is beyond expectations with fresh ingredients and creative offerings. Seldovia is a short ferry or plane ride from Homer and a world away from the hustle of any size town. Even a day trip to Seldovia, with lunch at the hotel would be a spectacular way to spend the day. There are a couple of sweet gift shops, hiking a short walk away from the hotels, and just a great, relaxing vibe. Come here to kayak, hike, relax, enjoy friends, and get away from it all!…
I just spent the last two weeks at the Boardwalk Hotel in Seldovia. I had a great room which happened to have a small kitchen. The staff as well as owners at the hotel were very friendly, an$ helpful. I enjoyed the meals I had there, and getting to know some of the other people staying there. I would recommend it to anyone needing a plac3 to stay in Seldovia, Alaska.
This is a secret hideaway. If you're lucky enough to travel to this exceptional part of the world then Homer is a must. Then being in Homer get a trip across this beautiful bay to Seldovia an untouched Alaskian gem. We had lunch at the Seldovia Boardwalk Pub & Grill, the food was great with a variety of fish and meat sandwiches and wraps, accompanied by either a superb chowder or fresh salad. Good wine, beer, or soft drinks. All this with a spectacular view out over the harbour and a great welcome from Angela.
The hotel was above and beyond my expectations! Our room overlooked the gorgeous bay, it was quiet and more than relaxing. The food was better than we have in anchorage! The service was quaint and great hospitality. Will definitely be back next year. Perfect getaway for a few days to recharge!
Seldovia is a very small, isolated town, but it is great fun to visit. There are few places to stay, but we were highly satisfied with our room at the Boardwalk Hotel. Nothing fancy, and the price was good. In a town with few restaurants, the excellent food served at the hotel is a big attraction. Again, very small, isolated town, so don't expect lots of fancy selections, but this clearly is the best food in town. The breakfasts are excellent! If you want to spend a few nights in a place that is quaint and different, stay at the Boardwalk!
