We stayed for 3 nights. Rooms are older. We had no issues, just things like the creaky floor, old TV that gets only 4 channels, etc. We did eat breakfast in the restaurant and really liked the omelet with the reindeer sausage. Go and sit on the dock by the lake and enjoy the view while you watch the planes... More

Trail Lake Lodge is nestled in Moose Pass, AK along Highway 9 about 30 miles north of Seward. The mountains and Trail Lake provide a stunning view. Steamer (owner) and staff made my husband and I feel welcomed and they were always going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable! We had an all-inclusive package, which included several fishing... More

Very Clean, great service, plenty of room for us. Beautiful lake next to the hotel with places to sit and view the lake. Fluffy towels. Great WiFi service. "Steamer", the owner, is a retired Marine and very personable and hardworking. He greets all guests, and is very interesting to talk to. His employees work hard, and do a GREAT job.... More

We stayed for one night. The owner is very hardworking; he checked us in and was also working the restaurant when we ate dinner. The rooms are small but clean. The area is very scenic with a nice view of the lake. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

We were part of a group of 19 in Road Scholars who stayed here, and our group did not eat in the restaurant, but had meals in the structure on the lake, which was very nice. The meals were excellent - we had breakfasts and dinners there, and the cook was first class. The rooms were in the collection of... More

Pretty setting with a view of the lake. First, a note of respect for The Innkeeper. He is a retired 30 + year veteran of the USMC. Hoorah! That being said - he runs the business like a marine officer. Very clean. There are no amenities or extra touches to the place. No continental breakfast or even a free cup... More

OMG a double at this lodge consisted of two twin beds in a small cramped room. The beds were uncomfortable. IT was clean. The rooms were stuffy but if you opened a window you were greeted with an onslaught of smoke from the smoking stations between each room. DO NOT EAT the chili in the restaurant, stick with a burger... More

We were driving thru and stopped for lunch. The fish and chips were cooked to perfection, not greasy at all. The burger was cook thru, but was still juicy and tasty. We did not stay at the lodge. It looked okay.

Moose Pass is about 20+ minutes north of Seward, on the road up to Anchorage. If you're interested in fishing, this could be a good location to stay at. The float planes out back on the lake are very scenic, and are entertaining to watch. If you're interested in checking out the area, it's a fine, but a little isolated.... More

Came to Alaska to find great hiking and biking adventures. With an outline of a plan that included a few Seward events we checked into the Trail Lake Lodge for 1 night. 5 nights later we are packing our bags. Our experience at the lodge was outstanding. The service could not have been better and the location was perfect for... More
