We stayed in a lakeside cabin on the final night of our Alaska trip. The cabin was clean and comfortable and had so many nice touches that it felt like home. We weren't able to eat dinner in the lodge, but the breakfast was fantastic. We went for a canoe trip around the lake before check-out and got to enjoy the amazing scenery. The owners also had no problem letting us store a box of salmon we caught in Homer in the dining room freezer. Whenever we get back to Alaska, we'll be sure to stay here and next time we'll stay longer!
We had a wonderful two-night stay at Summit Lake Lodge for our honeymoon. This was the first place we stayed on our two-week trip in Alaska, and was definitely one of the most memorable! The owners and staff were so friendly and went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. They helped us book a salmon fishing/bear viewing trip (highly recommend!) and packed us a delicious breakfast AND lunch for the day of the trip. Our dinner at the lodge was one of the best of our entire trip. Our room had a fire place, a balcony overlooking the lake, and a very comfortable bed. The location was perfect for exploring the Kenai Peninsula. Thank you for everything, Brandon and Lindsey! We hope to be back one day.
We stayed in cabin #22 on the Lake front for 4 nights. We are Alaskans and were amazed by this beautiful lodge. The cabin was beautiful, peaceful, comfortable and the view was wonderful. Cabin was very clean and modern and had everything you need. The king sized bed was very comfortable with luxury linens. Heated bathroom floors are nice. Attention to detail is evident with such cute cabin decorations throughtout. Very comfortable recliner chairs was a pleasant surprise. The staff and owners are all very nice and very helpful. Custom order breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day. We will definitely stay at Summit Lake Lodge again.
Arrived late in the day and went directly to the restaurant. They were out of several items on the menu including all the steak options, their special of the day and the calamari appetizer. 5 out of 6 of us had to change our orders because of this. When we got to our room our heater wouldn't warm up no matter what I did to attempt to change the temperature. The refrigerator had a terrible vibration noise that continuously woke us up during the night and resulted in a horrible night's sleep. Overall not impressed by the experience.
We are Alaskans and visited the lodge twice this summer. We stayed in cabin 26 (in the woods) on our first visit and I was blown away how nice the cabins are. The cabin was totally remodeled and super cozy. The staff is helpful and kind. Breakfast is included with the stay and is made to order. Our second trip we stayed in cabin 11 (Mountain View). The cabin is less expensive, and not as updated, but still nice. There are free kayaks and canoes, and you can launch from the property. Our dinner was fantastic and they have a full bar onsite. The lodge is 20 minutes from Cooper Landing, which is great for fishing and there is a new brewery. The beds are comfortable and the linens are lovely. We are planning our visit next summer.
