The Hotel is also called the Metlakala Inn. I flew there from Ketchikan snd found the location to be a short walk from the Taquan Airlines dock, which was very convenient. The owner, Barry is a great host who provided excellent breakfasts and dinners for me. The rooms are very nice with microwaves and refrigerators and have been newly remodeled....

Was in Metlakatla for a three week work detail with my wife and two co-workers. Wife and I had apartment suite with kitchen and living room. Very nice and roomy. Hosts went out of their way to be helpful, even arranged for us to use their personal charcoal grill. Enjoyed some of the bountiful local fresh seafood. Fishing is a...

I had to travel to Metlakatla, AK for 10 days of work. This was my first trip to Metlakatla so I didn't know where to stay. My company booked the hotel reservation and I'm so thankful for the travel clerk finding this hotel/Inn/b and b. It is listed as Metlakatla Hotel on this site, but my receipt says Metlakatla Inn...

We came here to come back after 20 years from being gone. The beds were very comfortable . Dale and Jeffrey were very accommodating . The hotel is set up like a bed and breakfast . You could have them cook you breakfast and dinner at an extra charge . We did not use these services as we were taking...

The hotel has been upgraded since last year. The rooms are appealing and comfortable. Wifi is available and fast enough for work. My room had a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker, which is very important in a town with no active restaurants (the Tuck 'Em Inn closed over a year ago.) You can also order meals if you let the...

Room was very comfortable, clean, and modern. There is a fridge and microwave which helps with eating options. There is a grocery store nearby. I travel in rural Alaska frequently and this is a wonderful spot.

I was very surprised and pleased with the quality of this Inn. It has the look of an older house on the outside but indoors has modern amenities such as a flat screen TV, hundreds of DirecTV channels, WiFi, microwave, mini fridge/freezer, you can borrow books or movies and a Keurig coffee maker is available as well. The bed was...

Dale and Essie are such gracious hosts. They made sure we had everything we needed, even going so far as to secure a boat for our family to take out to the bay to scatter our brother's ashes. The rooms are very comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious. This is an excellent place to stay.

“All the rooms that I saw were very nice. A couple of the rooms had nice views and a deck. Metlakatla is a very quiet little town and you don't need air conditioning when you can just open the window and a nice cool, clean breeze comes flowing in.”
