We spent three nights at the Fireweed Lodge for a wedding. The facility is beautiful, the food and staff were great. Rooms were nice with comfortable beds. There are also cabins. They specialise in fishing and have a dock out front with boats. They also have kayaks. The grounds are well maintained. There is a basketball court. They do not have a liquor license, but there is a liquor store, and a grocery store, a short walk away. Great location for a wedding or just a vacation stay.

Experience exceeded expectations. Bob and Jeannie have their best year going for good reasons. Training of staff, selection of staff, food quality, room cleanliness, attention to detail for condition of boats, bait, rods. So many other things right down to heavy duty plastic the fish is frozen that lasts longer at home. If you can go to this lodge do it and there will be no disappointments. Time will fly and you will limit out each day. So glad to have had this experience.

Myself and three of my good friends went on a Alaska fishing trip to Fireweed. The lodge, associates, guides and owner Bob & Jeanne are very personable, friendly, professional and service oriented. The food in the restaurant is very good and the service exceptional. Although I didn't meet all of the associates, Chace the Service Manager was very pleasant and professional. She always asked if there was anything that we needed. Joe our guide was a delight to be around on the boat all day long. Chef Victor didn't blink an eye to make me a breakfast burrito without meat and did one every day without asking. The wait staff, Megan and Mackenzie were always greeting us with a smile (even at 4:30am) and served us in a professional manor everyday. The lodge and rooms are very clean and maintained. We plan to make another trip back in the couple of years. Kudos to the Anderson's for making our visit a memorable one, it's a great place and the wildlife is abundant right out your room door as is Charlie, Hank, Reba and River, the guests pets. And yes the fishing is fantastic too.

Our flight from Seattle to Ketchikan was turned around which delayed us the first night but Bob & Jeannie were great and offered to let us stay an additional night and start fishing a day later. The fishing was amazing and our guide was a blast. Great food in the lodge, fun game room, friendly staff, clean hot tub, clean rooms. We were able to use vehicles at the lodge if we wanted to take a drive which we did when we wanted to go on a very scenic hike. Bob & Jeannie along with the entire staff were very accommodating. Thank you all! We had a great family trip!

This is a first class lodge, used mostly by fishermen (and women!) near Ketchikan on Prince of Wales Island. The clientele are largely repeat customers who appreciate a well run outfit when they see it. All your needs are taken care of from start to finish; pick up/drop off from airport, fishing boats, guides, cutting, wrapping and flash freezing of your catch. Basically, from ocean to your freezer. More good food than you can possibly eat, friendly staff, clean comfortable accommodations. Wildlife viewing was spectacular! Saw otters, deer, eagles, sea lions and whales, with one rising within 2 feet of our boat. Thrilling and scary too! Thanks to Bob and Jeanne Anderson for such an unforgettable experience, and to our guide Daniel, for knowing all the best coves, etc. so we could limit out every day.

Our group of 8 stayed and fished at Fireweed Lodge for 3 days in mid-June, and had an excellent time. The lodge is family owned and operated with personalized service and a real pride of ownership. We give our trip a 5-star rating, and definitely plan on coming back to Fireweed Lodge.

8 of us went on a week long fishing adventure during July 4th weekend and we had a blast. The lodge was really nice and the Chef did amazing things with fish. We were up at 5am eating breakfast and making our lunch for the day then on to the boat $ per boat . It takes about 45 min to the ocean channel but in between time was watching whales , Eagles and otters just hanging out. We fished all day and came home to dinner and drinks each night. This place was really awesome.

I was on Prince of Wales Island last week for business working for the Alaska DOT. After our plans changed and our original B&B became unavailable, the Fireweed Lodge was recommended. After a week on the road it felt like coming to stay with relatives as we were invited into this homey lodge. Chace, the hostess and woman-about-the-lodge, made us feel right at home with her warm hospitality, and Donnie, the chef, cooked the kind of homemade seafood we had been searching for the entire time we were in Alaska. We were interested in doing a little fishing after work, but being at the end of the fishing season, the boats were all pulled out. However Josh, the son of owners Bob and Jeanne, as well as the husband of Chace, outfitted us with some rods and sent us to a particular spot on the Klawock River with specific instructions: walk to the end of this trail, stand on this rock and cast in front of the fallen log on the other side of the river. Well after two hours, us three bumbling amateurs pulled in 45 lbs of coho salmon and released more pink salmon than we could count! I have made four trips to Alaska from Oregon for business in as many years, and this was the highlight of all of them. I intend to bring my wife back in the future to stay longer and enjoy more of the lodge, the wonderful staff, the fantastic food and abundant outdoor activities. If you are looking for the consummate Alaska fishing lodge experience, this is it.
