Steamboat Bay Fishing Club is the premier luxury Alaska fishing resort. Exclusively sited on the pristine wilderness of Noyes Island (guests are flown directly to the docks on a sea plane from Ketchikan), the Club is the closest lodge to the best fishing in Southeast Alaska. This lets guests spend less time commuting and more time fishing. All-inclusive service at the Club provides guests with guided fishing on custom-built 27' heated cabin cruisers, professional seafood processing, made-to-order Alaska cuisine for all meals, and a hosted open bar stocked with premium wines, beer, spirits and soft drinks. Beyond a day of sport fishing, guests can enjoy a sauna in the Slavic banya-style steam room overlooking the water, relax with a therapeutic massage, explore the bay by kayak, stroll through the majestic Tongass National Forest on the uninhabited Noyes Island, or simply lounge on the deck or by the roaring fireplace. Gorgeous lodge with top-notch service. All staff members went out of their way to make us feel welcome and well taken care of. The food was absolutely gourmet! The gear we were provided with was in great condition and very sufficient for us to stay dry all day. Our fishing guides were fantastic! The best was the hot tub, sauna and massage! A+ on everything!

This was a a fishing trip you only dream about. The lodge we stayed at was out of a movie set, rustic yet beautiful with all the amenities you could ask for. The management and staff were first class all the way. The fishing boats were comfortable inside with enough room for 4 to fish off the back. The boat captain /fishing guide was topnotch in my book! We maxed out our limits on catches every day for 5 days. No one could ask for more.

If you want an incredible adventure to fish in Alaska, book a trip to Steamboat Bay. This trip was unbelievable! The accommodations are first class, the staff are so friendly and attentive, the chef and kitchen staff did not disappoint, and lastly, Wu our fishing guide helped us limit out each day. I brought home what we caught. This included Coho, King, Halibut, and Black Bass totaling about 50lbs. From the time we landed in Ketchikan, the Sea Plane trip, arriving at the Lodge, Breakfast, Lunch on the boat, fishing, Happy Hour, Hot Tub, Sauna, Dinner, witnessing whales, eagles, and otters, the Steamboat Staff covered everything. Thank you Holly and Adam, as well as everyone else at the Lodge for such an incredible time.

The entire trip is unbelievable! From making flawless reservations with Andrew and Nola, then you get to Ketchikan and meet Mike Dooley and his ground crew at the airport and you instantly know you are in for a welcoming experience. The transition from the airport to Cape Fox Lodge is flawless. Not one hiccup at all. Then you take the float plane to Craig Alaska and your boat captain is there waiting on you to arrive and the rest of the ground crew are helping and the transition again is flawless. When you arrive at Steamboat Bay lodge (first class) you are met at the dock by Adam and staff members to welcome you and to assist with anything you might need and answer any questions you have. The lodge and the entire staff are just awesome. I was in a car accident and injured my back but they went above and beyond to make sure that I was accommodated with all the assistance I needed.
I can’t say enough about the great chefs (Jessica) and others they have preparing your 5 star meals.
Then the fishing is spectacular as well. The transition back to Craig and Ketchikan are once again ran like a well oiled machine, completely flawless! They take care of your fish until it is time to check in for your flight home.
I can’t thank the Entire staff enough for allowing me to make these lifetime memories with my son and great friends!
Thank you to the entire staff of Steamboat Bay fishing club for more lifetime memories!! Hands down a 5 star experience in every aspect!!!

This is our 3rd time coming to Steamboat. Truly a first class operation and their attention to detail makes it a terrific experience. Best fishing lodge I have been to.

The guides are experienced and know the waters so you get the best fishing pot.

The food is amazing, from the breakfast to the appetizers and the dinner. You won’t leave hungry.

Beyond the stunning setting and extraordinary service, it is crystal clear the team at Steamboat Bay cares about its guests.

I had an unexpected medical issue to address and their actions made the difference between a quick recovery and an extended/possibly serious illness. I will be forever grateful.

Once leaving this lodge I find myself wondering where to go next. I don't think the experience can be beaten. The location of the lodge could not be in a cooler spot. The dock is surrounded by schools of squid and king salmon are feeding on them all day long. The fishing grounds are incredibly close by and the scenery is beautiful. Our guide Josh was the best of the best and put us on several massive halibut over 100 pounds and got us our limit on all of our targeted species. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with plenty of room. I was blown away by the quality of food, and workmanship at the lodge especially with it being on its own island. We never lost power or wifi which blew my mind and they give you access to the most well stocked open bar I have ever seen...

Adam, Holly and the entire team provide an incredible fishing experience. The service and staff are Five Star! Accommodations and food are second to none. This was my fifth trip, and each time was as good or better than the last. The fishing boats are excellent, and guides knowledge make sure you get your maximum limit of King Salamon and Halibut. We were out daily at 6am and back to the lodge with our catch by 4:30pm. There were eight of us and each brought home a 45 lb. box of vacuum frozen fresh Alaska fish. If you are looking for a fantastic Alaska fishing experience, look no further than Steamboat Bay Fishing Club.

Answer from Geoff S
Ketchikan, Alaska
The Club is on waiting list only for new guests through August 31, to allow current guests first opportunity to rebook for next summer. On September 1, all dates not already under deposit will become available to new guests. For the best selection of dates, we recommend booking before end of year. Booking less than six months in advance may require guests to be flexible on dates as availability gets quite limited. The Club is only open during peak fishing season in the summer (June-August), so every guests receives a premium experience. Guests targeting king salmon (Chinook) may prefer June due to peak volumes and historically better limits. Guests targeting silver salmon (coho) may prefer August when that species peaks. July offers a fine mix as kings begin to diminish while coho ramp up. Halibut, lingcod, yelloweye, black bass and more than 20 other varieties of rockfish are available in abundance all summer long. Please note sport-fishing limits are set by the Alaska Department of Fish & Game and are subject to change. We invite you to learn more details online by following TripAdvisor's link to our website, or call reservations for the Club at 800-350-3474.
