Salmon Falls Resort is a “First Class” operation. Getting to the resort from Ketchikan Airport was a key factor. It’s location is convenient, enabling guests to start fishing the next morning. The resort staff is friendly, always welcoming, and the lodging accommodations and Timber’s Restaurant quality was excellent. Sean Harrelson and all of the dock hands were an absolute pleasure to work with. Captain Todd Monson’s knowledge and expertise of fishing was exceptional. He is professional, courteous, focused on customer service and simply fun to go fishing with. He clearly has the passion, the right boat, and the right equipment to catch lots of fish. Without reservation, I recommend Captain Todd Monson’s guide services to anyone seeking a fun filled, successful, and results oriented fishing trip. Many thanks to the entire Salmon Falls team on providing a full service resort, at a reasonable cost, and the most memorable fishing experience ever. Look forward to returning to Salmon Falls Resort next year. Thanks so much, everyone!!

I have been going to a fishing lodge out of Ketchikan for years. Had heard about Salmon Falls but thought it could not be as good as the higher priced lodge. Well I was very wrong. I got talked into going by the GM at Salmon Falls , Matt. It is very easy to get in and out of the area as they pick you up and drop you off right at the airport. The lodge is a short drive from the airport and Ketchikan. GREAT People and service from the GM to the dock hands. Equipment and guides are all first class. DON'T fish NO Problem , they have a package for people that are not there to fish. Rachel, Al, Chris , Matt , Will, Captain Will, Captain Bunker , waiters, servers everyone was amazing. Location is also amazing, we caught lots of fish , went shrimping, saw whales, eagles , dolphins you name it.. It actually was so good I went back a second time.. Try Salmon Falls you will love it.

We have been coming to Salmon Falls for the last four years. Every trip has been excellent and its hard to believe it gets better every year.

All the staff we met this year were positive and always sure to greet you. The food is excellent with great menu options and the bar area is a nice comfortable place to spend some time (as is the beautiful deck area just outside). They even now have music/entertainment on multiple nights.

They have new self-guided skiffs and brand new guide boats with top of the line equipment which are a nice upgrade from past years. Plus, if you get tired of fishing they have other excursion options you can do like float plane sight seeing which picks-up right from the dock, crab pot and shrimp pots, hiking in nearby state park, even visiting a bear sighting area!

Unlike other fishing lodges where you are remote, the food & drink are basic, and there are limited amenities, this place has it all. It would be a great place for a family trip (we are planning that next).

Highly recommend it. We'll be back again next year...

The fishing guides and dock staff are top notch. The restaurant staff was friendly and attentive. The unpleasant part of our trip was a disorganized check-in process, a not so caring front desk staff, and no shuttle available to take us to town. When we asked about a shuttle to take us to Ketchikan, the front office staff seemed annoyed and said it probably wouldn't happen but they'd call me. No one ever called and our kind fishing guide drove us in his own car. We took a taxi back to the resort for $80. It took us over three hours to get our rooms and this is a remote location - there isn't anywhere to walk to or anything to do after a tiring flight. No one was even in the rooms for the last two hours, they just took their time cleaning them up for us.

Our fishing guide, Garrett, was incredible and we would definitely love to fish with him again. Shawn, who runs the dock equipment room, was amazing. Given the amount of money to stay and fish here, it just didn't feel anything like a resort experience. This was my father's third visit to Salmon Falls Resort and he said that the experience had definitely changed, and not for the better.

A group of 6 of us spent 3 nights at the resort and are already planning our return trip!!!

Salmon Falls does a great job taking care of all the details to provide a true vacation. Reservations were easy, the office was great in assisting in getting covid testing arranged, pickup was on time and friendly with a quick drive from Ketchikan. At the resort the views are amazing, staff is friendly, the food is great and it’s an overall wonderful environment.

Our group enjoyed 2 days of fishing with Captain Will. I appreciated the high quality boat that we were on. Even with some moving water the boat was steady and everyone was comfortable. We were highly successful bringing in 25+ fish per day!! In addition to the great fishing/catching we saw a pod of orcas and many humpback whales.

The experience was adventurous and peaceful all in one. I highly recommend it.

We spent a wonderful weekend fishing and relaxing at Salmon Falls. The dinners were quite tasty, and all of the service from drivers to boat captains were attentive and friendly. The resort’s fishing boats are comfortable and get you on the fish quickly. We highly recommend and hope to go back ourselves in the future.

We had a great time fishing. At the end of the day, shower, and great meals at 4 star restaurant. The Dock manager was very knowledgeable of current fishing conditions and staff were very responsive from getting the boat ready early, docking tie up, and cleaning our catch.

Nice people. Fishings good. Guides are a mixed bag for the price point. Some not friendly. Rooms think moterlodge for 2k/night Food is very solid. Service is slow and seems like they have a lot of issues w staffing. Almost everyone’s new to the property so not a lot of local knowledge. All in at the price point it’s def tough sell. But the fish and natural beauty are hard to rival

Great environment, location, and fishing! It was awesome not having to go out of the country to have all three. Ketchikan Island is one of the most beautiful places to relax and enjoy nature. And the Resort personifies it perfectly! We had a 4 day fishing package, with most meals included, and was able to have 2 fabulous fishing guides that made this family fishing trip one of our best!

Thank you, Salmon Falls! We met college friends for a “bucket list” trip and had a great reunion together. Fishing & shrimping were the highlight of our 4-day stay, followed by relaxing on the deck for Falls viewing & sunset photo ops. Guided fishing trips are the best choice for novice and moderately experienced fishermen. Our other excursions included whale-watching (outside vendor); hiking; lunch & shopping in Ketchikan. Timbers restaurant did not disappoint: very friendly and responsive staff; wide-ranging menu; excellent food, while all under the leadership of a terrific Chef (he’s a keeper)! Rooms in Lower Lodge were average and comfortable, but we spent most of our time outdoors or in the restaurant. I am highly likely to recommend this Resort to others and, in all likelihood, we’ll be back for another visit!
