My brothers and I went to SF Labor day W/E 2018. Had to use a guide to be in a larger boat than a skiff. Using a guide reduces your limit of halibut. Guide was a real good guy. Big problem was fish processing folks LOST our 3 halibut to some other customers departing on the same day as us! When we noticed at home and contacted them about it they said they would comp a dinner on our next trip 2019. Well that didn't happen, they welched on this when we reached out this past Labor Day. Said the person who agreed was no longer an employee. Housing resembles a hotel, food is average FSA stuff. View is real good. Still pissed about not getting halibut at $20.00 a lbs and the manager didn't do a damn thing but give excuses. We went with Knudson Cove Marina and got better results big time.…
My dad and I decided to try Salmon Falls for a fishing vacation in Alaska. We had a great experience. We stayed for a week and chartered a boat on the first day, then self-guided for three days. The total package was great. The main focus of what made out experience so great though, besides enjoying the Alaskan wilderness and fishing experience, was the extremely hard working, courteous and professional staff. From the time we were picked up from the airport, to our initial greeting at the resort, preparedness of the boats for us to fish, restaurant experiences, and especially the dock staff working tirelessly to accommodate every request as well as professionally address us with smiles and finally prepare all of our fish in a timely fashion upon exit. I can’t express enough how much we appreciated their work ethic. Thank you Rachael for your leadership and every other staff member....Sean, Jessica, Jillian, Capt Bob and everyone else even if I don’t remember your names right now. Thanks!…
The staff at this resort is amazing. Not only do they treat you like royalty, they do it with pleasure. I stopped for more coffee for our room in the morning on our way to dinner thinking she would just hand me more packets, but instead she insisted on taking it up to our room for me. They waited on us hand and foot. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We had a great nights sleep and woke up to coffee on the porch taking in the view of the marina. This resort really has something for everyone. I think couples should consider this resort even if one wanted to fish while the other stayed at the resort to relax and take in all the natural beauty. Husbands, if your wives don’t fish, she’d still enjoy the trip (😉). The marina manger and fish processors are over the top accommodating. The boats are extremely comfortable. Your rain gear and boots (which we did not need) as well as your lunch and drinks are plenty. The views are endless. The all inclusive package has you eating Prime Rib, Lamb, Halibut, Salmon, Various cuts of steak. Or, they will cook up your fresh catch for the day. We had them cook up our Black Sea Bass we caught and it was delicious. If you are looking for a fishing trip that also allows you time to decompress from the daily grind of life back home, this your place. …
Fantastic location, amazing staff, excellent food and incredible fishing. Located in the middle of nature, you wake to beautiful views and head out for a day of hauling in a variety of Salmon, Halibut, Rock Fish and others. The team at Salmon Falls takes great care of everyone, and then sit back for a well cooked meal. Highly recommend for a guys trip, family excursion or team bonding!
My second year going here...this time on a personal trip. Took my father and brother because I was so impressed last year. The staff--all of them--were even more friendly than before and are genuinely nice people. The entire resort is very clean an the location is outside of the tourist trap of Ketchikan. This is also a perfect place if you don't own any fishing gear because they literally have everything you need--so no need to bring much. I'm also considering bringing my management team back for a corporate retreat as they have great meeting facilities and the food/bar would be wonderful for dinners. One more great thing--it's easy to get to from Seattle...so in about 4 hours we went from Phoenix to Alaska! Highly recommend Salmon Falls!
