Open for over 30 years, Waterfall Resort Alaska has established itself as the premier resort in Southeast Alaska. Located by Southeast Alaska's famous Inside Passage near Ketchikan, just a 90 minute flight from Seattle, Waterfall Resort provides the adventure of Alaskan sport-fishing together with the beauty of the surrounding Tongass National Forest. Originally built in 1912 on the island of Prince Wales, the historic Alaskan salmon cannery was renovated as our all-inclusive sport fishing lodge. Many of our guests return each year to enjoy our all inclusive Alaska vacation. You get comfortable accommodations, 3 delicious meals, plus the fishing experience of a lifetime. We only allow 4 guests to our 27 foot boats with an expert guide, professional gear, heated cabin, air suspension seats and private head. We provide the overalls, jackets and boots. We clean, cut, fast-freeze and box your fish plus check it through to Alaska Airlines via our on site rep. Everyone leaves with fish!

What an amazing experience! Best fishing trip of my life. Waterfall took care of everything from the minute I landed in Ketchikan until my return flight. Fishing was great. Our guide Cy is a cool, crazy dude and put us onto a bunch of fish. Accommodations and food were very good. Returned home with over 100lbs of frozen fish filets. Will definitely return!

Overall fantastic experience with our corporate team. Staff very friendly and consistently looking for ways to make the experience memorable. Provided us with all the equipment we needed and processed and prepared our fish each day. Boat captain/guide knew where to find the fish and gave clear directions on how to catch them. He made it look easy. We limited out on silvers every day along with Kings, Ling Cod, halibut and Bass for the trip. I would highly recommend the Waterfall Resort.

This was my first time to Waterfall and I'm already booking my trip for next year. This place is run like a well oiled machine, from the time you arrive to the time yoou leave everything is taken care of. Fishing was off the charts, Capt. JOC was the best, super cool and got us on the fish every day. The staff was top notch, Ron the bartender is like an legend, nice and kept everybody happy. The food was great as well, buffet stype but solid. What I thought was going to be an issue for me ended up being a blessing, NO TV"S in the rooms.. I actually slept well for the first time on a long time. It almost forces you to unplug .. Highly recommend going

The stay at Waterfall Resort, and fishing experience was first class. The food quality, verity and taste were great. We fished every day and limited out each day. The fishing on the ocean was calm even in the rain. The wet weather gear the resort provide kept us warm and dry. I can't wait to go again.

Second year with Waterfall Resort and 1st for our kids, as expected they didn’t disappoint! Sam & Zac put us in the fish everyday, so much so we have a 1000 lbs of fish headed to TX! Can’t say enough about all the staff, everyone goes above and beyond to make sure you have the trip of a lifetime. We’ve already booked our return for 2024, can’t wait!!

Thank you, Carroll, for the two reviews, one here and one on Google! Bringing the kids makes it that much more fun for us, too, to see families enjoying Alaska fishing together. It's incredible to think 1000 lbs?! The TEXAS way, right?! Everything's big in Texas. ;-) We're looking forward to some posts of the fish recipes. Tag us @waterfallresortalaska.and we'll re-post! Be sure to enter the Guest Photo Contest this year by going to our website waterfallresort.com and looking under the My Trip tab to find the Photo Contest page. Again, thanks for sharing the fun with us! Hope to see you again

The staff here is incredible. From the moment you arrive at the resort until the moment you leave, everything is well orchestrated and the entire staff is pleasant and accommodating. This is the 4th time I have been at this resort and each time, I feel it gets better. Like the WIFI was incredible this year everywhere..an incredible improvement. The food (which a minimal others have complained about in these reviews) was even better again this year. The chef stands out at the buffet, and pridefully showcases his food for comment. I heard nothing but great things each day from everyone. Not sure if people expect Jose Andres to be the chef here. And even if he were, I am sure most people would not like that food and prefer what they are offering now which is delicious. The guides were incredible. They really want you to catch as much fish as possible. Moving around to make sure you have bait and its in the water while 3 others are landing fish. Like an orchestra leader. Ron the bartender continues to be awesome. While we play out poker, he has a full bar, and yet he comes checks on us for drinks to make sure we are all set. I think this resort is great. And anyone who wants to have an incredible experience (weather permitting) will do so and want to come back.

Wow! Thank you 423bgb. We do our very best to add to the great memories that Alaska so readily provides. Our crew genuinely loves Alaska, too, and so many return each year because of great guests like you and making new friends. It's fun to watch people experience their first king or celebrate their 10th after a number of years! Thank you for allowing us to share it all with you, including the food. We appreciate your special comments about that, too. Here's to many more years of sharing it with you!

This is my third time at Waterfall and it never gets old. You begin your adventure with a breath taking ride on the float plane to Waterfall’s incredible and scenic property on the water. They immediately get you fishing upon your arrival and the challenge begins to hit your fishing quota during your first half day of fishing. My buddy and I were guided by the great Montana Dave who can turn any novice into a fisherman. We hit our quota, even on the half days, coming home after a two night stay with 100 lbs each of salmon, halibut and cod that was filleted and flash frozen by an incredible team working late most evenings. Our time out on the water was incredible seeing bald eagles, whales, seals and a pod of Orcas. They have replaced all the boats in recent years and they are comfortable and clean. The dinners are a great time to share your fish stories and there is a strong sense of camaraderie in the room. Our nights at the Lagoon Saloon or sitting out by the water with a cigar were perfect to end the day. The entire team at Waterfall was great and helped to make my trip an amazing experience.

Room Tip: I am not a great flyer and the float plane was NOT scary at all. They can just land on the water...

I and my wife Jeanette do not often return to the same place but we made an exception for Waterfall. We went with another couple since the fishing is four per boat. In a nutshell the experience was even better than the first time. The operation runs like a Swis watch with all events clearly set out. The fishing was super, the food outstaning, and above all the service was great at all levels from check in to check out.

If you are looking for an Alaska fishing experience, this is the place. Fishing was outstanding. Service excellent. They take care of you when you are there. You are out and away from the "rat race". Cabins are real nice, restaurant food is very good and a small bar is available. You will bring back a load of vacuum packed, frozen filets of fish. I am coming back.

Brought my dad to Waterfall resort as first-time visitors for his 80th birthday. The experience was exceptional, the guides and the fishing were absolutely amazing, and everyone there was incredibly kind, professional, and thoughtful. The cabins were great, and the food was outstanding. In particular, I wanted to give a huge thanks to Scott Earhart, the director of business development, who went way, way above and beyond to help me arrange this trip at the last minute, when our other plans fell through. Though it was our first time at Waterfall, I can see now why so many people have been coming back for decades. And we certainly came home with more than enough salmon, halibut, cod, and sea bass in the freezer now to last us the year. Thanks to Scott and everyone there who made this possible — it was the trip of a lifetime and one we’ll be talking about until we hopefully go back again.
