This is an old style hotel with good amenities and an attached restaurant. The only thing I didn't like was that the rook key was an actual key and not a card-key. Maybe I am overly cautious but I'd rather have a key that is not easily duplicated. Aside from that, the staff is very attentive and the food is somewhat pricey but good. If you like to enjoy a beer or a glass of wine, there is a pub right next door which is filled with friendly locals and a good staff.

This is such a cool little place!!! Right by the Kenai Airport so I thought it would be a bit noisy... Not at all! Very quiet, clean, pet friendly and the staff....Ah-ma-zing!!!! So friendly from start to finish. We will absolutely stay there when we go to Kenai again!!!!

The housekeeper who I spoke with was very polite, professional, and generally a wonderful person to be around. She answered all my questions and made sure that I was taking care of she should be the hotel manager. I would hire her in a heartbeat and my contact her soon to see if she would like to work at one of my hotels. When I asked to check in at 1 p.m. I was told check in was at 3pm even though there were rooms ready as if I was an inconvenience to the managers personal schedule when she was out running errands. Never forget that the customer is always right, and they are the number one priority at all times. I own several hotels, bed and breakfasts in Alaska. I would never once tell my customer if they cannot check in when they were rooms that we're ready because I was out running errands. Kenai is a tiny town anyway how far away could you be. My response would be "I'm out running errands and I'll be right back to check you in". Then want my customer was taken care of I will continue my errands. You never know who you are talking to or who you will meet in your travels or who you are serving as a guest. A hotel manager that would give that kind of response would never work for me they probably would not make it past the interview process. In the hospitality industry we are catering to customers at all times. their priorities are our priorities regardless of the situation. If you plan to stay in business for any length of time your priorities must be straight. If an owner, manager, or employee of a hospitality establishment thinks that their priorities are more important than the customer they should be terminated immediately because they are in the wrong industry. Period.

This situation has prompted us to implement new policies effective immediately which allow our room attendant's the ability to assist with guest check-in in the event the manager has to pick up the weekly supply order or make a bank deposit. Our time away from the desk is very rare and we are so sorry you were let down. Super convenient walk across the road from the airport. Nice lobby and friendly staff. Room was basic,clean and comfortable. Lighting above the sink could be improved but over good value for the rate I paid.

We made a trip to Alaska to visit my wife's father. We stayed at the Airport Hotel. This is a small basic hotel but the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice and clean. We will stay again when we return to the area.
