One of the most if not the most enjoyable vacation of our lifetime. Dorothy and her staff are truly second to no one. The lodge, located three and half hour south of Anchorage on the Kenai peninsula, is well built and maintained in a beautiful Alaskan setting. The staff and

Duane, thank you for the great review! Since your visit we have grown - we have expanded our staff so our staff to guest ratio is even higher and we bought our own halibut boat, which Captain Mahoney runs for us in addition to his own. We take pride in providing the great service you noted in your review. Come see us again!

The lodge staff is warm and friendly, the food is amazing and abundant. Our guides were helpful and knowledgeable. It was a seamless vacation. We didn't have to plan a thing, just tell them what you want to fish for and they make it happen. The best part were the dinners,

You will have a great time on the Peninsula. I do not know what month you have booked your trip. You have probably booked Crooked Creek RV Park and Cabins and not our lodge Crooked Creek Retreat and Outfitters. The RV Park and Cabins are fairly close by. They do not provide meals, but they do fishing and cabins. If there is anything I can help you with or questions I can answer do not hesitate to ask. If you have time when you are up come over and visit. You can check out our lodge at by looking up Crooked Creek Retreat on the web and you can contact me through that web site with any questions. Perhaps you are booked with us but I do not know your name from your name from the Trip Advisor question system. There are many things to do such a fjords cruise, Kayaks, fly outs complete with bear viewing, beach combing, razor clam digging, and of course a lot of fishing. If you are booked with us I would be happy to give you some contacts of people who have been here or answer your questions.

There is some confusion between Crooked Creek Retreat and Crooked Creek Guide Service. Our group stayed in a 4 person cabin at Crooked Creek Guide Service. crookedcreekfishalaska They have cabins plus RV parking. Unless you prefer to bring your own gear, everything is furnished. A river, I believe it's the Kasilof, is a short walk from the cabins. You can fish there on your own whenever you wish. Rods, waders and gear are in each cabin. I highly recommend Mann's Charters for multi species ocean trips out of Homer. Nancy Manns mannscharters Bring rain gear - jacket and trousers. We were lucky enough to dodge the rain in August 2014 but two years prior, it rained every day.

We are not in Clam Gulch. We are on Crooked Creek and have a large log lodge with full service. We are primarily a fishing lodge and do have packages for other activities. Clam digging is 10 min away, but contact us if you want to dig clams so we can give you the tides. It takes a -1 min to dig clams. We provide shovels, clam guns, buckets and boots. I think you may have us confused with Crooked Creek Cabins and RV Park. Email me or call me for further information 907-260-9012 Thank you

Crooked Creek Cabins and RV park may be what you are thinking of. Evelyn is the owner there. We are a 1st class Fishing lodge with a Cabela's and Sportsman's Warehouse News endorsements plus others. You can call me or email me for further information. You can find us on the web. We have an 9,000 sq foot log lodge and rooms of various sizes. We have never had a complaint regarding noise or any complaints about room size. All have private bathrooms, great linens, plus you can leave the window open and go to sleep with the sound of the creek. We provide lodging, all meals, fishing trips and other activities. Our packages are all inclusive. Please contact me if you have more questions. Thank you
