Hotel is on the older side but very clean. Not open for breakfast, but they give you a paper bag with a water bottle and some snacks at check in. Juneau is so small that any location is a good one, and I found the bed comfortable. Updated furnishings, tech and a full service restaurant would improve the experience, but I managed just fine. My only real complaint were all the homeless people who stand outside the door and immediately panhandle as soon as you walk outside… not sure if the hotel can fix this or not, just a sign of the times.

I guess my expectations were high for a $300+ per night hotel in a state capital that is also a beautiful tourist destination, but it IS branded as a Four Points, not a Ritz. I will say that the location of the property is good; it's a short walk to downtown coffee shops and a few restaurants, the cruise ship pier, state office buildings, bus terminal, etc. It's right across the street from the water, the parking was free and convenient, and there is a mail box in the covered drive up area in front of the hotel entrance. The employees were nice and the rollaway we requested was in our room and ready when we checked in. As for my disappointments, the heat in our 2nd floor room didn't seem to work well (it was below freezing in January, so I set the thermostat for 76-80, but the actual temperature in the room remained at 71 during our entire stay -- felt like 61; I slept wearing my sweatshirt). The hotel had no private business area for our 0600 conference call, the sports restaurant/bar next to the lobby is apparently not affiliated with the hotel and was not open for breakfast, we did not receive maid service for any of the four days/nights that we were there, and the water in the shower/tub was lukewarm three of the four mornings that we were there. I'm just surprised/sorry that there is not a single property in the Hilton family in the entire area/region to give this "Four Points by Sheraton" (Marriott family) a little competitive spirit so they might up their game a bit.

I had to stay here for business and I do realize that Juneau has not too many hotels to offer. The hotel is good and they have an in house sports bar with excellent food. The room looked a bit dated but had all the amenities. The bed was excellent. After all we book a hotel to rest in and to freshen up and not to sit in the room all day. So yes I will be booking there again if I need to stay in Juneau

Checkin is 3pm and not a minute before. Front desk staff seem bored, are not attentive and filled with excuses. As a Marriott Lifetime Titanium rewards member I was expecting to be given some priority but they couldn’t accommodate any requests. Rooms need to be refurbished. See pic of the air conditioner!! Staff told us to be sure to bolt our door as there is no security. Convenient location is the only advantage. This is not a hotel that should be part of the Marriott properties. Someone from corporate needs to make a visit.

Thank you for staying with us! We apologize for not meeting your expectations regarding staff service and your room. Unfortunately, during the summer, we are often unable to accommodate early check-ins prior to 3pm due to availability although we do our best to check guests in early when we can. We apologize for not being able to get you checked in sooner, we thank you for your patience. We do not have security personnel but our property is safe and the staff are vigilant about watching for any activity, and it is always a good standard to lock and latch the doors as a precaution. We appreciate your feedback and will share this with the team to make the necessary improvements. We hope you stay with us again when your travels bring you back to Juneau!

The lobby, elevators, and rooms were dark. There was no air conditioning in the room. It had some kind of plug-in air conditioner in the room which did not work. Outdated and needs money put into it. The location is great. Being a brand, there should be some kind of consistency in quality. I understand that this is in an isolated Alaskan town, but that shouldn't matter. Very disappointed. Read the other reviews, most are spot-on.

Kinda as expected in a tourist town in the sense that front desk employees are annoyed you’re there but the amenities are good. Book way in advance to secure an ocean view. Incredible! Clean room, shower takes a bit long to get hot, BUT, I love hot showers so it just may be me.

We checked in for one night before we boarded a cruise. The positive thing I can say is the bed was comfortable. There are really only 2 large hotels in Juneau, this being one of them. As a regular Marriott guest, I had hopes for this place especially at the extremely high prices being charged during the summer ( $525-$625 a night). We had a very long check in experience as their card reader machines were not working properly and the cc had to be entered manually after 4 attempts with a card reader. The hotel has a restaurant but oddly, the breakfast is only served at the Baranoff hotel, a Best Western property down the road. Yes, we were given vouchers and had to walk about 1000 ft down the road for breakfast. Hmm. At least it was a beautiful sunny day but I would forego this if not. Our hotel was sold out yet the on site restaurant which was open in the evening isn't open for breakfast. I asked about bottled water and the front desk associate told me it's in the room. Yes, when we go to the room, there was one bottle for us to share. Really? I called down and was told that is all we get for 2 guests. The biggest issue though was there was NO soap in the bathroom. No hand soap at the sink and when I took a shower, the large container for shower gel was empty. Biggest pet peeve, when in the shower soaking wet and there is no soap! Usually when this happens at a hotel, I step out and grab the bar soap but there wasnt any of that either. The room alarm clock went off promptly a t 6:00 AM and we had checked in late, not getting to bed until after midnight. Wow. All of this, plus a room in severe need of a facelift, for the bargain price of $525 a night. If you stay here, just calibrate your expectations.

Thank you for staying with us at Four Points Juneau! We are glad to hear you enjoyed our comfortable beds. We do apologize for the issues you faced during check in as well as housekeeping. We have addressed the issues with the proper departments. Unfortunately, the restaurant, McGivney's Sports Bar and Grill, is a separate business and it is their decision to be open only for lunch and dinner. We appreciate the feedback and hope you will give us another chance when your travels bring you back to Juneau!

Clean and helpful. very well located on the waterfront, walking distance from just about everything They really sweat the details to make sure your stay is great Expensive, but it is on the waterfront, downtown and has. Free parking. Also, the AC is a portable unit retrofit to the window. Those 2 issues aside, this is a winner

This hotel was in a great location, with all of the downtown area walkable. The gym was fine- small but functional and I actually never saw another person in the gym so it didn’t matter that it was small. The room was nice and was clean. I didn’t eat in the restaurant but coworkers did and liked it.

I hit this hotel during high season and 4 cruise ships in port. Still, they delivered for the most part on providing a clean, very large, and pleasant hotel room complete with decent front desk. It's a great location downtown. Easy walking distance to shops and stores. The first trip a year ago I faced the water, this time the city and I have to say, both are nice. Because of high season, the rate was outrageous, but not many rooms available.
